The masteries/elite specs are solid. But I guess I'm one of the few that think technically it's brilliant. I get that some don't like the twists and jumping style atmosphere, but to make open world not a massive zerg these multilevel maps are requir…

IMO instanced dungeons one of the things that started the decline of MMO's. Not realistic in any way and just pandered to the wanna-hold-hands crowd.
Open dungeons all the way.
The loot rewards are a different issue. Shitty …

Like real life, all the rich people aren't truly legit, many exploited their way their. A big reason to jump into a MMO early is to find the weak spots and gain power and wealth before they are found and nerfed.

I'd be up for that all at once. The Quick-Slot-Wheel is baaad.
The problem with DAOC, is even at it's height it didn't have many people, just emphatic players. What I'm getting at is so many recent games are trying to recreate DAOC... but then you look at the #'s is was total niche. Perhaps they are over-thinki…
Grouping. The phasing issue, being invisible or not being able to assist, just way to complex and confusing for groups. Not sure how they don't see that straight up. Get about 20 people in the office in a guild, have everyone start playing on their …
I love the over-reaction when someone isn't happy with limited skill choices. We immediately go to 10 bars and that wow screen. Like there isn't anything sane in-between.
But the history of games for the past 20 years is games start out more com…
Originally posted by arieste but honestly the idea of "grinding mobs" has been largely gone from MMOs for about 10 years now.
I know of not what you speak. GW2 also wasn't too bad with the this part of an mmo.
I want to talk about the part Angry Joe mentions about running quests in groups. How most don't share, if you are on a different part of the quest line, you can't group many times and do the content together. When a member is on a different part of …
Looking forward to both. I just want to say don't box yourself into just a MMO. There are a number of games in Early Access that are crazy fun now, they are builders and survivalists. I'm more a fan of user controlled servers, you get real variation…
