Seems like everytime someone signed the petition an email was being sent to directors, game directors etc of SoE/EQNext and the petition was mentioned in the live Q/A. Check the video at the 11:20 mark or so.

The video you guys are talking about is this one. at the 11:20 mark. The petition has been updated and emails won't be sent out anymore, until the number reaches in the thousands, so people keep signing it and stuff will hopefully happen.
