The only DQ I have played is DQ VIII. The only reservation I am having is DQ XI may have a "been there done that" vibe about it. Even so, it will probably be a good game. Maybe even GREAT!

I used to love the fatalities but the last time i played i couldn't make anyone's head fall off. Do they still do that?

I have always been a fan of AoC. I tried it out on a whim years ago, just after the expansion came out, and fell in love with it. I was never a Conan fan, but AoC turned me into one. It led me into Howard's Conan stories and Frazetta's art work. I h…
Try this: In the AoC game files there are two exe files to launch the game. One is named age of Conan and the other is named Age of Conan DX10. Launch the game from the DX10 exe file. If you are using Steam find the Steam file on your hard drive the…
Free to play without restrictions. Interesting concept. Ever stop to think how a business model like that would change the game? Income for keeping this game alive has to come from somewhere. If not from subs it would be a cash shop full of play t…

I really wanted to like it but I didn't find it immersive.
Funny how subjective games are! I play AoC because it is the only MMO I find immersive at all. My son is like this, dad why do you play this game? He does…
Most all of the PVE complaints with this game are solved with a subscription. Not enough bag space, can't roll the character I want, can't access all the zones, and whatever else. It's all solved by subbing. You can FtP but you will be restricted. T…
Enjoy your time with AoC Jimbo, there is not another MMO quite like it! I've been playing on and off for three years or so and I still look forward to loging on.

I also like melee --- Lopping heads and limbs to a beautiful music score never gets old! But it depends on what floats your boat. A lot of players like Castors and Healers but I prefer the rogue classes like Barbarian or Ranger. You can try a couple…
I agree the $9.99 would be better spent in the cash shop buying vanity armor than on the survival pack. There is some pretty cool vanity armor that looks so much better than the stock stuff that drops in the game. Ugly plaid boots and kilts that s…
Regarding server lag it has been my experience that the sever population is tied directly to the issue. When I first played AoC before it went FtP there were very few people playing in the lower level playfields and the server could handle everythin…

A yes, the tradeskill overhaul that has been coming for 3 years...right after it went F2P they were talking about it as if it was only a month away. That was over a year ago.
Not sure if you really care or not, but Joel…
Trying to shoe horn a free to play model into a MMO that was never designed with FtP in mind is tricky business. The game was originally designed with the idea of receiving a steady stream of subscription money from all players. With FtP that is ou…
Originally posted by Vodun I laugh when I see ppl complain about f2p restrictions, but then I fell sad when it hits me that maybe these ppl cannot afford to pay the "massive" sub cost of $15.00 per month to play a great game like this. The pain of p…

I purchased the expansion ages ago and am now unable to make any use of that expansion because of the F2P limitations. I should not be forced to pay a months sub just to check out content in an expansion that I have alre…
