• What problem with the lore are you referring to?
• There is an easy way to please everyone. Have some PVP servers and mostly non PVP servers. I can't see why this wouldn't work. EQ1 did this quite effectively.

• Originally posted by Slaggg I think that's why LOTR has endured for so long.  Tolkien built a living world that jumps off the pages, instead of a flashy pulp novel.  Same thing applies to movies these days.  What movies do you see getting awards and…
• Originally posted by ironore Well, you are talking first age there brother, and I agree that would be a bit much (tho I would like it).  I was leaning more on the second age.  People know from the movies who Isildur is, how they were fighting SAURON…
• The logical thing to do is to release PVP and make Goblins, Orcs, Uruk-Hai, Trolls, Easterlings and Southrons, playable when Mordor is released. Have the Free Races vs the Minions of Sauron only PVP. That would be logical and satisfy the need for …
• The FIRST matix movie was very cool but the second two were very meh...They basically saw how well The Fellowship of the Ring was doing and saw that they had already filmed the two sequels and decided to rush two sequals of their own into production…
• I can understand your complaints but they also have financial issues to contend with. Casual fans are most familiar with the time of the Books and that gives them the most chance to be financially successful. Also they only have the rights to the …
• Well it seems your style would not be duplicated by mine as I would prefer a sneaky little hobbit or a human spellcaster (not really sure how they are working this aspect of the game). I have to admit that I am leaning heavily toward a Hobbit for m…
• Well, I suppose there would be no sure fire way to know for sure but I think you might be able to offer a younger age bracket server that was for people 24 and younger only. You could require that the name of the player match the name on the credit …
•
Originally posted by Darktania    Now if only I could find some serious rpgers around here.
Im surprised to hear you say that. I understood Omaha to be a fairly good roleplaying town, is it the availability of players of their …
• Thanks, there is still a lot for me to learn but I'm getting there. I have run an ongoing Middle Earth campaign (old school pencil, paper and dice) for the last 3 years using a mixture of the old MERP, Rolemaster Standard System and my own writings…
• Thanks for the compliment and I agree there are age issues involved. One solution could be to have an over 30 server with roleplayed PVP and a complex faction system. The answer to having an economically viable MMORPG it seem is to appeal to ALL M…
• The real answer is that it changes based on my mood but here are a few of my favorites. Eomer: Loyal to a fault and willing to do what is best for his people even when they do not understand or even support him. The ultimate soldier for his people…
• Originally posted by Darktania   I can accept a well done PvP. But through experience I've grown quite cynical about the matter. Especially when kids are playing.   Okay I respect everyone else's feelings on PvP and I'd never say that a person is st…
•   If they eventually offer Evil races then I'm all for RvR. I can see Orcs and Elves fighting. I just cant see Hobbits massacring one another on a daily basis. Also I cant see why a Hobbit would want to. I can understand your argument about Hobbit…
• Hate to tell you but a well role-played pvp is about the best experience in a MMORPG. Why should there be "fair" fights in PVP? There aren't "fair" fights in war or real life. The war in LOTR wasn't a "fair" fight. Players will ALWAYS provide a m…
• Actually that poster is incorrect about the total lack of will of those who server Sauron. Many of his minions are totally under his control through rings or his directing the force of his will upon them but many of them act of their own accord whe…
• How does his post make him look like a ganker?  I have  role played characters in PVP who killed on sight such as a dark elf in EQ that killed any Elf he came across.  I roleplayed the whole time saying the things that a dark elf might say while kil…
