Started playing this recently, got a Zerker to lvl 25. Questing is pretty repetitive and tediously linear, however I'm having a blast soloing the odd group monster where timing and skill comes into play. That's where the combat system starts to shin…
Thing is, I can play TERA for free right now without any restrictions before I decide to drop any money on it. Ditto many other MMOs. So obviously I'm reluctant to buy GW2 only to realize after a week that it's not my cup of tea after all.
I just discovered that the game has had a new expansion recently and came here to ask for opinions about it. From the looks of it I'll save the 30 bucks for now. Turbine have crafted a very compelling world in Lotro, but have always struggled to fil…

So GW2 won't be like God of War. But it won't be like WoW. More like... God of WoW.
lol :P
Well that deffo tells "try before you buy" to me. Not sure I'll be comfortable with that playstyle.
Wait, are you saying GW2 combat is completely reflex based? I haven't looked into the mechanics much, but that would kinda suck. Not looking forward to playing an action game.
Too early to tell based on promo vids. Might suck, might own. However, comparing the gfx to SWTOR is ridiculous, GW2 clearly wins imo. Bioware cannot into area design.

Well it's less weird than wearing female clothes in rl I suppose.
