The majority of the backers, including myself, are waiting until launch to dive deep into the game. I've played some of the earlier releases, R13, R14, R15, and I'm playing R21 daily. The game is evolving into exactly what I've wanted: a sandbox sin…
EXCELLENT write up. Thank you for covering this game. As a long time backer I have not stayed very active, but as of R21 I'm REALLY turned on to the direction we're heading and the content we're seeing. Thanks again.
Richard will never allow for a pay to win feature. Keep in mind, those who are paying for this game to be produced and published (pledges and backers) are receiving hundreds of items at the very beginning which is automatically placed in their bank.…
Release 15 (beginning of March) will upgrade the current Unity 4 engine to Unity 5. They will have multiple new zones complete, but only 1 or 2 zones completed that utilize the new Unity 5 features to "showcase" the new shiny features. Hooray!
Personally I'm happy they're appealing to all players, those who wish to enter PvP zones and those who wish to play the game without PvP tags ever toggled on such as crafters and social butterflies. I support their decision because ultimately this w…
All current graphics and sounds are placeholders. Once the features are complete and we enter Alpha, the content will begin rolling out and replacing the placeholders.

As for now, there are two methods of instant travel. The world map is what we use to travel by land, it's called the "overland map" and we travel by foot to town to forest to ports etc.
In Owl's Head they have constructed a Lunar Rift using the lig…
Great idea, definitely hang it up and preserve those old memories of Britannia. I've pledged for the Explorer pack $140 which includes the Collector's Box, all 5 game episodes, a cloth map of New Britannia and more.

I like the magic and crafting system so far. The game has potential to bring many role players. PvP wise, not sure if PvPers will like it. PvP is not twitchy a la Wildstar and I prefer this crowd to stay away from…
Thank you for this detailed feedback. I appreciate the depth you've given us into your combat experience.
Please remember this review was written during Release 8 of Pre-Alpha.
The developers will be publishing Release 14 of Pre-Alpha at the end o…
The team is primarily programmers at this moment. Once the game reaches the late alpha and early beta stages we can bet Portalarium will hire many artists to complete the game. Once the framework (engine) is complete with all the mechanics functioni…

Thank you for mentioning Darkfall. I recently returned to the game and have been supremely impressed with the direction they're going in. See you in game!
