It plays Pong variants and needs batteries.
My favourite old school game would have to be Monster Mazogs. This is the first computer game I owned that I didn't have to manually type in myself. It cost £4.99 back in 1981 and made a great break through in graphics. Using only a software enhancement it jumped screen resolutions from 30x20 to 60x40. It was the technology title of it's day and is the no.1 best selling ZX81 game of all time.
It's a maze game, you have to follow the "this way" signs before it times out. Each time you pick up a sword you can kill 1 mazog. I think I got it to load successfully 3 times. It runs on this 1k miracle of computation.

PlayStation titles were just as inspired by the games before it as todays are of the recent console generations.
Underground? Is that why it had five or more games under it's name before the PlayStation came about? While I'll agree that VII caused the series to explode, it was far from being considered underground before it.

Because we all know that pre-PlayStation, adults never played games like Madden, Mario, Pong, or Civilization.

The two Super Smash Bros. games I've played far too much to want to remember. I'm looking forward to the new one coming out on the Wii.

NES. My fondest memory was a game called Crystallis. You guys should find a copy, either original or emu. It was a great rpg for it's time
