Ok but how can anyone say this unless you are testing the game and know from experience? Unless you are a beta tester you have no idea if the wait will be worth it anymore than I do. I'll bet you thought SWG was going to be well worth the wait too but why then are you so eager to leave it? The fact is we just don't know at this point if COH is going to be a huge success or fail miserably.

I learned long ago not to get my hopes up too high with these games as MOST of them fail to even come close to meeting them. Now I just expect games to flop and if they don't then hey, nice surprise! I try to avoid going to their forums/web sites too often as it just gets me excited and I end up be9ng like the guy who started this thread :)

Just remember how many boring, horrible MMORPGs are out there right now and realize the odds that COH will be a dream game. Come on... how many games have been hyped as the next big thing to hit the genre?

I want a LINK to this Said Exp Pack they have talked about. They have said things the would like to INCLUDE in the first EXP pack.. dose not mean they are working on it. My lord.. BREATH.. why don't you do some research so far you have said so many false things. Like you have watched this game for 4 years when it has only been anounced for 2.5 years.. I mean really. Do some reserch. I have been following this game sence march of 02, and i have to say that Crytpic is the best Game COmpany EVER. they are the most vocal and in touch withere Fan base then any other company EVER!

Please Prove me wrong.. cus i would really like that..  But i don't think its going to happen.

Anyone remember what the NDA says - is it still not allowed to say you're in, or is it just gameplay features that are out of bounds for discussion?

  • MuppetHeroMuppetHero Member Posts: 208

People argue both ways. I for one say nda means no info whatso ever even if you are in it. but thats just me..

some people say as long as you don't say anything about the game..

mods in this fourm talk about being in the game so...

An NDA can be exactly what the creator wants it to be, it's a contract and not valid beyond what's in it. I've been in betas where you're not even allowed to say you're in (I'm in one such beta right now actually) and I've been in betas where - usually at later stages - only massive rants and gameplay specifics were disallowed. My general feeling is that a good NDA at a reasonably late stage of development (such as CoH at this time) *should* be just "no details please".

If I were thrown out for saying "yes, I'm in the Xxx beta", I'd get pissed. That would serve no purpose. If I got thrown out for posting massive rants, that'd be expected. But I don't intend to do that:-)

Seeing as CoH is coming to some fairly big testing crowds and is pretty close to release there should be bigger reports coming in a bit.

Well seeing as how MMORPG.com announced who was in the beta...  I doubt its in violation.

If its true that when you drop a cat it lands on its feet or if you drop toast it lands butter-side down... what happens if you strap toast to a cats back and drop it?
