Will you play Vanguard at the beginning of it's release or will you wait until the other classes are added. I'm going to wait until the berserker class has been added before I buy it.
yes I'm going to play it from the begining. I plan on buying the limited guild edition (65 euros where I live)....I'm looking forward to be in a mmo from the very begining instead of being thrown into it as usual.
I will play from day one of release. Hell may even take off of work if I have to.
Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there, 80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters. Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior, and he will bring the others home. -Heraclitus 500BC
The only way I can feel like I really experienced an MMO is to play it from the beggining when everything is exciting and new. Not knowing whats going to happen or where the road leads is what draws me to adventure RPGs. The only time the game will feel that way is when it starts. Before the community starts to destroy the mystery.

I've already preordered mine as well, and like someone said it will be nice to play an MMO from the beggining, and not get thrown into it, thats something I've never experienced, only slightly with Guild Wars.

If a non raid server is offered at launch then I'll buy Vanguard and play at launch, if not then I'll continue on with Guild Wars which has no raiding.
I'll definitely wait for reviews from major gaming news sites like Gamespot or IGN. I'm still hearing all kinds of hate from beta-testers about Vanguard, and though SOE managed a fairly smooth launch with EQ 2, they haven't launched anything new in a while so I don't want any of that frustration.
you took the words right of of my mouth. I am too looking for something to get me out of WoW as soon as possible. I need a more hard core game. I thought I didn't, but playing WoW reminds me that I do.
Obviously playing from the beginning but quite casually. I only get to play around 8 hours a week, less this month. When it launches I will be playing from the get go but not as much as years ago. Having a life FTW!
It's best to play from the beginning. Specially if you a group person as there will be far more ppl your lvl looking for a group. If you come in a few months after release it will be alot harder to find groups. Theres also the fun of experiancing the game first hand. You really shouldn't buy game because of whats said on gamespy or the forums. Make you own mind up.
Hmmm after that one game with all the hype and it bombed i dont think i'll play any mmo till it is out and somewhat established enuff to give me posative feedback about it.
I also preordered Vanguard 2-3 weeks ago and am really looking forward to playing it. With the preorder, it says you get into Beta sometime (probably the last one) -and that will be great too. I think the world and experience is just more fun when you play a game from the beginning, even though you might have to suffer through some bugs.
I'm really not sure - DDO is great fun at the moment and the melee range thing is bugging me too much to commit myself and a couple of others that I always game with, who would no doubt try it if I REALLY wanted to give it a go.

It really depends on the mood I am in when it is released. If I am in an impatient mood and I am not preoccupied with another game, I will probably buy it at release and help pioneer the game. However, if I am still busy with DAoC, which I just recently started playing again, I will probably wait until I get a thumbs up that the game is worth buying from the general community and a reputable game reviewer. More than likely, I would get that thumbs up or down within the first 3 months.

I am playing Vanguard from the beginning so that I can get the heck out of World of Warcraft ASAP...

I don't want to be a WoW clone anymore.
