*sigh* another one of those Editorials. Its been beaten to death already. On close to every website even slightly related to gaming, there is at least ONE editorial that has a post made by a female gamers that writes how girl gamers are real and that its not only guys and that they have bad experience in online games and blablabla.

OK! WE GET THE POINT, There are girl gamers, You don't have to repeat yourselves!

Sure there will always be people who won't believe your a girl, get over it already. the vast majority of mmorpg gamers DO realise that there are plenty of girl gamers around. give it a rest already. These editorials don't help at all, as it gives people the impression that there are only a few girl gamers around that constantly get harassed. which is far from the truth.

The title of this editorial quite sad.

A needless attempt to spur conversation and interest in the topic. ::::12::

Two of my four daughters have been asked to sign at modeling agencies.  I'd say that makes them hot female gamers, and not just a mother's prejudice.  They all have cute female gamer friends too.  They have boyfriends and husbands that are tall dark and handsome young men too.  Girl gamers AND guy gamers come in all varieties.  We don't all look like toons from South Park.
    Sorry, mom...just making a joke.image

I found out today that one of my former staff members plays second life and has done so for about 2 months.  It is her first MMORPG.

She is in her mid 20's, from Hong Kong and is extremely cute.

Oddly enough while we were one the phone she brought the subject up by asking if I played second life (which I don't).  Apparently there is a group of British born Chinese girls (all RL friends) that play it.  image

I used to visit this site a lot however in recent years it has become the home of negative forum posts, illogical opinions and tantrums so I visit less often.

    Played or Beta'd: UO / DAOC / Horizons / EQ2 / DDO / EVE / Archlord / PirateKingsOnline / Tabula Rasa / LOTRO / AOC / Champions / Darkfall / Mortal Online / DCUO / Rift / STO / SWTOR / TSW

When i play with a female char on a game there is allways the doubt that she is not female, but that cant be helped as most times a female char in an online game is a big fat pizza faced man just playing as a female because he likes to pretend to be a woman.
Female gamers shouldnt stress out if i ask if they are actually female because im only trying to determine wether or not the person giving out cyber kisses is male, i dont care if they arent acting girly and such because then i dont feel like im having the piss taken out of me by some fudge packer.

No disrespect but making a comment on page 8 seems to me that the topic made sence since there are many people intrested in the topic cause everyone that even types 1 word as a reply towards this topic sure must be intrested in it even if that response is positive or negative towards the topic.

The topic  would be indeed be needles if your post was the only one that had responded to the topic ;)

Last time i checked we all had free wills to read and react to whatever we liked, nobody is forcing us to react on subjects we do not like, that also would be very foolish to show others we have no opinion.

I do wonder what the purpose is for some people to actualy say nothing ( to gain better membership stats?)

p.s already gave my opinion about the subject :P

I'm a guy who mostly roleplays guys in a roleplaying/MMORPG situation, but sometimes I play a gal. Talk about the strange reactions you get when you're a gal as opposed to being a guy! Man o man, the stories I could tell you. . .*Spares you, lol*

Remember this for optimal fun: When someone asks you if you're 'really' a girl, shake your boobies and do a wiggle and ask, "What do you think?", and then giggle or something. As if that's an answer, but you know, it's usually enough, lol.

It all depends on who's asking you, too. Depends on whether or not you feel like messing with somebody's head or not, and if you're a writer, it lets you explore female things/ideas you might not normally run through in your imagination, but anyways. . .

Too bad there's not many 'real' roleplayers out there in MMORPG's, cause then non of it really matters and you talk about stuff going on in the game, and not asking, "Where are you from," and crap like that. Don't get me wrong, I answer such questions, but I alway do so with a sigh. I mean, who cares? I don't. I'm there to play, not talk about r/l. I do enough that in r/l already.

Right on the spot , iv'e got kinda the same thought about it and also did/do play females in mmorpg but do run into alott of wanna-be mmorpg gamers that keep asking or saying "he i think you're not a woman in rl" like you said"who cares"  its a rpg game and therefor you asume the roll you take may it be male or female its the role you take and people should adress to that role , funny thing is that if i run into such  narrowminded persons they mostly high lvl aswell, probebly also those that call themselfs hardcore just because the media feeds them those lies by saying you are hardcore if you run the same thing over and over again
