Welp, after about 2 months of played I have decided to quit playing WoW. It's not because I think it's a crappy game or anything like that, but because it wasn't all that fun to me. Mabye some day I will find an mmorpg for me. Bye WoW community I wish you all best of luck!

Despite you being all nice and all, I have to say that nobody cares. I doubt Blizzard wtill take much of a blow anyway cause they have more than 7 million people worldwide paying anyway. Not counting character X-fers, more people buying that game.

I played the 2 week trial of WoW, and after being into CoH/CoV...i found WoW to be very kindergartenish im comparison...Its not a bad game mind you, but when you've had filet mignon, somehow spam just cant take its place!

bad decision my ass... iv only had the displeasure of seeing someone play WoW and I must say it looks quite childish to what I'm used to.   imo its a good move to get away from WoW and Blizzard... they lost all my respect when they made this game and dropped there other projects

Good decision :>. WoW will start to lose players eventually. Rather old game/community thats hard to get in as a new player, thus Burning Crusade is a big joke . Well nothing lasts forever and WoW did it ok... for a while.

Heh. Of course Wow will lose players, then it'll gain new players when new stuff is released (ie BC). And I was a new player not long ago, and I had no trouble getting in it.



It still has a HUGE base and will continue for a while. Of course, all things, good or bad, must come to an end.

I wish that i would have made that same decision about 22 months earlier than i actually did. I do not regret my cancellation and after having been through every raid instance currently available as well as getting a full sampling of the game's pvp as WELL as the beta for burning crusade, i can tell you that the game is nothing special. Good decision.

I can't wait 'til other games come out and people start migrating away from WoW [Warhammer, age of conan, etc]. It will be interesting to see Blizz's reaction...hey, maybe they might actually make their game dynamic!

I played WOW on and off for two years....but just cancelled my 2 subs... realized I wasn't interested in what BC was going to bring me.....



Sure, I had some good times..but all games come to an end for a player, and I've reached my end with WOW....

So just out of curiosity, what exactly happened that soured your WoW experience?

Well, mostly that WoW is grinding from the beginning till the end . PvP in BG's is pure grinding also, only slight difference is that you're fighting against humans. After i got to 60 (which was self-torture since i lost my interest towards WoW in around lvl 40ish) it was pure ITEM grind. I've played lotsa mmo's and even in the beta i knew WoW is nothing different, still i had to make it to 60's to see what lies behind...   Too bad there was nothing .



I don't say that "WoW SUX" it's just about the same game as DAoC was with a better graphics and a little more content. DAoC did it OK for a while also (in my personal view). DAoC's lifespan was a bit longer for me tho. WoW took 1 year and DAoC 1½. I still dont think that BC will get that much new players, loads of ppl which i knew in-game or irl are about to leave the game because BC really didnt do anything new. They made this decision a long time ago that they'll play WoW till the BC comes out and if it doesnt have anything new "BB WoW". I kinda knew it wont change anything .



p.s. "we're not interested" he/she asked what soured my WoW experience .

Always makes me laugh when some 1 plays a game like WoW for almost 2 years and then decides it crap.

Another 1 of those "my friend says it crap so it must be true" kinda guys, play it and see. In 26 and all in my guild (80 or so) are aged 20+, WoW is not a kids game and when you do meet a kid its easy to tell.  And Kids are in all games inc EvE,EQ,GW and they will be in VG,WAR,LOTRO and so on.

I rather doubt it will get knocked from the top spot for a good 2 years yet. Lots more life left in WoW (expansion due in less than 2 weeks).  As to getting into the game, just w8 for blizz to open a new realm which they do every few months (I know of no other MMO opening new realms to cope with numbers, all others are downsizing/merging) then your on a sever where ever one starts from the beginning again.



WoW is the best MMO out there currently, reviews/awards/player numbers and fan boys say so, so it must be true =D

I hear ya! I've been playing WoW on and off for about 2 years now and it is still very entertaining. I've played lots of MMOs but this is by far the one I have enjoyed the most. EVE is great too, but I like WoW the most. I think that all those people who complain about "poor" graphics in the WoW should try playing it for the fun instead :P If you find it boring or that it really doesn't suit your style, then don't play it. Find some other game that suits you and play that instead, but just don't say that WoW is a bad game. If you still feel the urge to say that WoW is a lousy game then you are wrong and millions of players WORLDWIDE will agree with me on this

I've tried EVERY mmorpg out there, and I mean every one... Well, I can't say that I LOVE WoW, but IT IS the best, extremely well-done game out there. I couldn't stand the graphics for a long time, but I caved in and still playing it, on and off though.

BUT: If Pre-CU SWG somehow somewhere came out after all, I would go back there in a heartbeat and never look back

Considering most of those reviews were brought and paid for in some way by Blizzard its not suprising that WoW gets good reviews

Clever, coffee. And you do have a very valid point with which I agree...WoW is, unfortunately, the best MMO available for purchase right now [Sorry, but I hate EVE]. But, there are many MUCH better MMOs coming out that will mop the floor with WoW's pubic hairs. Rejoice!

No.
It is nothing special. New zones, new races...same WoW.

WoW is a great game, but it is not without its faults:

AV PVP is now a race, servers are full of hunter bots, the economy is screwed even on new servers as it is easy to screw quickly, the GM's are r-tards, the game still has a number of pretty old bugs. Oh the community sucks, guilds have no meaning and you can't own anything in the game ( no not pwn but own as in housing etc).

Guilds have no meaning? Are we talking about the same game here? WoW's endgame is comprised of two things: PvP and Raiding. Raiding without a guild? Ha, ha, ha. Funny. Pug MCs, sure. But not much else.
