Which one of these MMOs in your opinion has the best chance of being the "WoW killer"?

I might check warhammer out, but honestly its not bringing anything to the table except hype

more things im interested in are in Vanguard, however I think Warhammer may be more of a casual game then Vanguard so.. who knows?

anyway ive seen several videos on the gameplay of warhammer and unless it really kicks ass with PvP and class skills its not going to get my 15 bux a month.  When I say kick ass PvP I mean something that will set the bar above Eve, DAoC and Lineage 2 which is a big chunk to bite

if its anywhere remotely close to what World of Warcraft is, expect a huge disappointment.  Keep in mind how long WoW has been on the market, the revenue its pulled in to continue its development and a huge expansion (first mind you) due out in days.

 as bad as I hate to say it, everyone will be comparing this game to WoW even more than any other upcoming MMO to hit the shelves

mythic is a team of dev's which has been choosen by the hand of god himself granted that they have faltered in the past *cough* trials of atlantis *cough*. But that was an expansion, something they even said afterwards they regretted... As spider-man says, everybody gets one....

Neither has a chance of being a "WoW" killer.  It would be too much for 1 game to take on.  Which game is going to do better?  WAR?  Which one has a chance of being more than a niche game?  WAR. 



Contrary to the developers behind Vanguard believe, people do not want a harder version of EQ.

Vanguard will be good for its targeted audiance, but War is going for the casual players and fun instead of a hard challenging game. Both will be good but they will be diffrent, and are hard to compare because of this.



Vanguard = HC pve

War = casual pvp

WOW= casual pve

Well the devs of Vanguiard did say orginaly that they would be happy being a niche game. That seems to have been lost now that it's getting closer to being release or maybe it just seems that way to me from the hype from players that are going to enjoy it what Vanguard offers.

WAR is a mainstream game where as Vanguard is a niche genre game, so in no way i think that Vanguard will have a chance.

vanguard? saw video looks sucky... wow??? boring ...to many raids to long time spend on playing it...warhammer...<3  wil own them all

I think neither will be a Wow-killer.  Where is the Ragnarok Online 2, Granado Espada, and Age of Conan.  Those can be WoW-killers.  Both those 2 don't even stand a chance at it.

man...you dont know woot your talking about...yes it true  Vanguard sux... but look on warhammer...history from 1983...milions fans....i am sure  war wil be great top game...wow is old crap now expansion isnt that much news...wow boring war fun news and much more classes,races and zones... more group combat fun... not fuking raiding  crap hours...more like warcraft 3:))) much bether than wow crap... war based on pvp like wc3 multyplayer maps that rox..  ragnarock 2 have no chanse..it sux.....age of conan mabye a litle chanse ... but to bad choice no factions... 3 classes .....1 race.... very fun?? huh i hate that type of idiana jones games... full on indians ... age of conan lol anyway there is many that like age of conan look so ..anyway   warhammer have very very very big chanse to kick wow out of windo and  burn that boring crap game... none action ...only farmin thats wow ffs i cant understand why i played that crap 2 years >.> well i got answer there was no other MMORPG games with W,A,S,D keys system and factions and races + classes and good char design..now warhammer looks awsom and races looks awsom and classes looks great and zones looks  war killing blood  cool and  lore! Warhammer Online will draw more players away from WoW then Vanguard.

However, neither game will "kill" WoW.

WAR+ Vanguard+Age of Conan, all 3 combined have a chance against WoW..



on topic: i pretty much think WAR will be better then Vanguard.

I think the vast majority of people will do exactly what I'll be doing... I'll play Vanguard when it's out up until the release of WAR, then move over to that.

Voted Warhammer.

Vanguard looks very interesting when you read the feature list and all, but personally I think it looks like EverQuest 2.5 - not that there's anything wrong about that, because I think EQ2 is a great game. Vanguard has the exact same look as EQ2, and though it's a matter of preference, it really turned me off. I like EQ2 a lot and still play it, but I really hate the graphics. It's hard to put into words, but everything just looks plain somehow.

Exactly what I plan on doing...unless AOC comes out between...then I'll give it a try as well.... heck, maybe I'll keep accounts on all 3 and play them all....

I plan on trying both games.  However, as others have said, Vanguard will very likely be a niche game while Warhammer is already looking to be poised to be a successful mass-appeal MMO.  I doubt either will "kill" WoW though.

Vanguard will be another shadowbane.  When are devs going to learn that open ended pvp without consequences is an instant death knell for any game.
