I wouldn´t call it phobia but heights definetly make me feel uncomfortable. Also when I was really young I had to close my eyes whenever there were klingons on Star Trek
Originally posted by 8hammer8 No "phobias" but I can stand the idea of coming face to face with glowing red eyes...it is totally irrational but if I ever saw something in the dark with glowing red eyes it would be an interesting study in fight vs. flight cause I am not sure what I would do. Also with the whole heights thing, I do not have a problem looking down, my problem is looking up. Atleast looking at the ground you have a reference point as to where you are spacially.
Boo!
YOU BASTARD....I couldn't even come to this thread again for days... But seriously, that would creep me out if I came face to face with a giant WalMart Smiley face that suddently stopped smiling and got glowing red eyes.
Oh and Outfctrl, I have played a WoW demo once, fortunately no glowing red eyes up to that point.

but first, to give you an idea of what it is...my phobia is ghosts/spirits of any kind...it makes it very hard to go to sleep but I always eventually do.
Story one
Lived in an apartment complex, kinda old looking and but remember how old they were cause this happened about 7-8 years ago. (I'm 18 now, happened about the age of 10 or 11. Well, every morning when we got up the chairs were pulled exactly 5 inches out even so everyone was asleep all night and the chairs were fully pushed in...this happened every morning we got up. Well, one night I remember something suddenly woke me up (my parents think I was dreaming, but nope I was 100% awake) and all around me were milky white human shapes, 6 maids as they were wearing aprons and three men I immediately saw (the men were sitting on our couch watching tv (even so the tv wasn't on). All the ghosts were laughing and talking with each other like a party or something. I could see through the ghosts, but the milky white appearance let me see them. Well, for 10 minutes I was hiding under my covers and what I saw were lights under my blanket like car lights going by me, but the strange thing was that 2 am and how could that many cars be going by the window that I slept next?
I never looked outside, but I knew the lights couldn't have been from cars as there were many lights and I didn't hear any vehicles outside. Well, I untucked my head from my blanket and saw a mafia guy I guess hunched over and walked through the door wearing a black jacket (I could see it was black, had a old age hat that was black, milky white appearance skin and then like I said the black jacket that I could see he wore). Well I was scared as heck, so back then when the lights were on it always made me feel safe, so I ran to the kitchen, turned on the light and ran to the couch and fell asleep (even so there were ghosts on the couch, I still felt safe with the lights on). Well, the lights made it so I couldn't see any of the ghosts. Freaks me out to this day...and no I wasn't on any medicine or drugs or anything and I yes like I said, I was awake.
This ghost experience happened 3-4 days after a guy next to us killed himself, the police had to come and I heard there was lots of blood in the room.
Story two:
My mom told me about my grandparents old house (they moved out) every night when everyone was asleep she heard her dads (my granddads) voice yelling from always this one room, so when she went to the door she saw light underneath and opened it, and the room was pitch black and very cold. Well that same house I was about to fall asleep and suddenly heard someone call out "Cody! (My real name) very loud and sounding angry...well I didn't stay in that room long and fell asleep in my grandparents room (this was when I think I was 13, and it freaked me out...as it sounded like my great granddad that died when I was younger)
Story three:
Not really a ghost story, but I find it interesting.
Going back in time, I was 6-7 years old and it was the first time I ever walked into a Costco, well 5 minutes after walking in EVERYTHING froze, no voices, no walking no nothing...5 seconds later everything returned to normal, but nothing jumped into place or anything like I thought it would. Things just continued on.
Story four:
Coming to more recent times, I was 14 and my old condos I used to live in I always saw shadows moving along the walls and one day I was staring into the tv screen about to turn it on, then I saw an old Indian man watching me that I could see through the reflection. I looked back and nothing was there. That same place we had crickets as pets and a cat, well one night I was freaked out about something so I went to my parents room for comfort and fell asleep, well before that my mom said"This house is safe..." At that exact moment she said that the crickets suddenly went very quiet and the cat freaked out. I live in San Diego, and there were lots of Indians that used to be here, so I assume that is why.
Story five:
I go to this beach nearby my new apartments, about every night that we walk along the beach (lots of Indians used to be here I think) me, my dad and my mom all have this experience where something blows air on our necks and we turn around and looked around but nothing was there, no animal or anything. This happens a lot at that beach at night. Not bad ghosts or anything, my dad says they are probably just having fun or something.
Story six:
Recently this year, strange things have been happening in my room. In August I slept next to the wall and would always hear three rapid loud knocks next to my head, when I get up they stop but if I ignore it it gets faster until I cant ignore it anymore. So I turned my head farther away from the wall and no more knocking. But recently this past couple weeks my chapsticks, my flashlight and other objects that are able to stand...when I leave the room I made sure everything was laying flat...went downstairs in the garage (I live in a townhouse apartments) and when I came back up everything was standing...even so the cats cant do that and my parents weren't home and I was home alone. I find that freaky, so maybe something is trying to contact me...first the knocking and now this.
I have lots of ghosts experiences...and I hate them lol
I so shouldn't have read what you posted, oh well, i've been sleeping with the lights on for the past couple weeks, i assume that'll continue. haha.
