Problem. When I attempt to save the changes to the VGClient.ini file, it will not let me save it. Is there any advice anyone can give me? Thank you. I first receive the message "cannoit find file or path." Then it will just not let me make the changes. Any tips would help. Thank you!
Sounds like you are using Vista or a locked down Xp account. There are two ways around this:
1. Find the notepad application or shortcut and right click on it and select 'Run as Administrator'. Then use notepads file menu to locate the ini file which should now be save-able.
2. I got bored of doing 1 so often so I used this option... Right click on the Vanguard directory, select properties and then the security tab. In that tab press the edit button and click the add button. In the enter objects field type your account name and press the check names button to verify that it is correct. Once you are added to the user list, simply select your new entry and tick the 'Allow Full Control' check box. Doing all this effectivelly gives you ownership of that folder and all its contents which will allow one to use notepad to edit files without having to open it as an Administrator.
what really worked for me was to uninstall and pre-order W.A.R
Cool so you already had a great beta experiance in W.A.R ? or did you "LOL" pre-orders just because of the "hype" ohh noesss not again Anyway i do hope WAR turns out right for those intrested in it.
Besides what you did has actualy nothing to do with the topic, just like my response actualy has nothing to do with the topic but its just really funny people doing things like already pre-order a game that has not even has a official release date. Only a few gamesites like EBgames speculate about hte release date as in offering pre-orders.
Interesting that you chose to turn this on, due to the fact that most frame rate junkies and dev teams for 3d games say to turn this off to increase frame rate. VSyncing forces your video gpu to go through another check.

Haven't visited this thread in quite a bit, but thought I'd jump in here.
You are absolutely correct, VSync does exactly that.
Originally, when I wrote my tweaks up during Vanguard beta, I was experiencing a lot of model/texture tearing, which was having a pretty negative impact on the game experience as a whole.
So while turning on VSync did bring down my overall FPS a bit, for my part, the correction to the video issues was worth the slight reduction in FPS.
When I wrote the tweaks up, the intent was not only to increase FPS but also to get the most out of the graphics at the least expense. So my effort was focused on getting good performance while also maintaining a pleasing display. I was trying for a balancing act between that two that would provide the best overall game experience.
