I dunno, I liked GoW. So, its a bit short on the Single Player side, (Although, I'm betting Insane will be a nice challenge once I get around to it). Personally, I think Co-op is awesome on Gears, just because the game mechanics make it that way. I haven't had much experience with multiplayer yet, but sneaking up on and chainsawing my friends is all the reason I need to play it. I'm appeased by the bloody carnage it creates.

I love GoW. Best game I've played for the 360 so far (though I have only been playing on my boyfriend's 360 since I'm too cheap/frugal/poor to get my own), and to be honest, I like the multiplayer. The controls sometimes irk me, but thats probably because I haven't played it enough.
I haven't had a chance to try the wii yet, so I'm not going to give an opinion about it.
Other than Lost Planet, I can't really think of another shooter that isn't just a repeat of all the other shooters out, with flashy graphics. My friend's obsessed with CoD3, but it's nothing new from The other call of Duty games, or the Medal of Honor games. From what I've seen, all of the shooters on the wii are the same, remakes of old games with a new controller.

I'd argue with that. I have played GoW (and beaten it), and although I love my 360, it is much the same stylized gameplay that was on the Xbox.
There isn't anything wrong with that, I mean why fix something that isn't broken?
But to compare the PS3 and the 360s "innovations" and claim that are just as good or better than that of Nintendo's is just plain false. The experience Nintendo has provided with their system is mindblowing in comparison, just like the graphics on the 360 and PS3 are mindblowing.
I agree that the PS3 and Xbox360 are bringing more than just graphics, they are also bringing stronger AI, longer gameplay, and more in depth gameplay. But the basic mechanics of delivering that gameplay is the same, unlike Nintendo's.

I have a Wii, I got it on launch date, I got a xbox 360, I got it on launch date. I love both of these consoles, they are great. Although I will say this. I got my 360, I play it all the time, more than I ever played any other console. I got my Wii. I played it non-stop. but... I found after a while I found myself playing my 360 more than my Wii and now I havent even really touched my Wii with the exception of showing it off to my friends. Now, i am NOT downing the Wii. The reason I beleive i dont really play it anymore is because I only have 4 games for it, and I beat them all. So, I will not say the Wii is a console you will get tired of after a little, but I will say there is a chance it will, cause its either that or the fact I only have 4 games. Oh, and just to clarify, I HATE THE PLAYSTATION 3!!!! with all my heart... I want to burn one and just watch it burn....
Generally, I don't think it is the people who enjoy the xbox 360 that are mocking the wii... I mean just look at the sites like wii60.com.
Personally, I can't wait to cash in my target gift card for a wii. There's definitely room for a Wii beside my 360. As for a ps3... well... maybe if I was swimming in cash.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. hell, even just take a look at my sig. the Wii and 360 are generally considered to be "allies" i guess you would call it. as the PS3 is just satan in console form.

If you can't find the 2007 release list for any console your not trying very hard. The big guns for Nintendo are Mario galaxy and SSBB, at least at the sites I frequent. Other game are mentioned but those two are the most consistant. THE X360 will have the Megaton Halo 3, Lost planet, Biohazard and they should have Blue Dragon ( A JRPG ) out before the end of the year. I don't follow the 360 so closely that I can quote the majority of highlights but it's adecent list if a bit heavy on the shooters.
Since you , rather disegeniously IMO, clain that you can't locate the list of about 100 games for the PS3 this year I'll help you out.
Motorstorm: off road racer with OMGWTF crashes and it actually looks real close too the full CGI target render at E3 2006
Lair: Dragon flight combat game with ground combat as well from factor 5 of Rogue Squadron on the GC fame. Makes use of the sixaxis for flight control.
Heavenly Sword: Beat em up in the old school style updated for next gen.
Devil May Cry 4: Dante out Nreo is in with a very interisting " demon arm " play mechanic.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Need I say more.
Those are the exclusive heavy hitters but there will also be Assassins' Creed, Burnout 5, Rainbow 6: vegas and Virtua Fighter 5 wich are also on the 360. How you "missed" all those games is beyond me but I'm always happy to enlighten Poo lost souls.

Still haven't played a wii, play my 360 avidly. I still want a wii, but I think something like that will happen. The innovation is cool, but when you play it as much as I play a game, it's not the something new that keeps my interest, because it's not new the 400th time I pick up the remote. The wii is extremely innovative, and it's all good, but I can't see myself going on 25+ hpur gaming binges with it.

I was refering to Gamespots "top games of 2007" article, which list not a single PS3 exclusive game, and only 2 PS3 ports.

I swear this forum is filled with onrpg members, anybody who thinks the Wii will win the console wars needs help. It's a novelty system and although I hope it continues to do well I doubt it will beat out technology.

Well, combine the sales of the competition of sony (Nintendo and Sega ) of the 5th generation of console wars, that number x2, and you still don't have the amount of Playstations sold. Combine the sales of the competition of sony (Nintendo, Sega & Microsoft) of the 6th generation of console wars, that number x2 and you roughly have the amount of Playstation 2's sold.

The console has only been released for a few months, its WAY to early to already claim it "screwed up". If I remember correctly, PS2 sold slowly at start as well. Also it IS supporting something, it proves Sony HAS the ability to make consoles that can take over the entire market. FYI, Last gen IS 6th gen, I will assume you mean the 5th gen, Maybe it did good? For 2 generations, Sony has outsold double the amount of consoles of its competition.
I know that you hate the Playstation for no good reason, but that is still no reason to already make assumptions and declare a console a failure.
