Sorry to use youir post as an example, but this thread clearly says top 5...I know it's hard, cause I myself had a bunch of games that I would have liked to include, but couldn't because of the whole "top 5" thing...So if any new users are reading this post, please limit your game list to 5...THanks....Xaldor
1 - The Dark Queen of Krynn (I would put the other DragonLance gold box in 2 and 3, but I will limit myself for only the nicest game of the trilogy IMO). (SSI)
2- Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal expension (again, I would put here all the earlier games and expensions, you get the picture, Icewind Dale & Torment & the like are less fun and a lesser version for me as well) (Black Isles)
3- Civilisation/Heroes of Might and Magic III/Galciv/Sword of Aragon/Master of Orion 2...I cant pick myself, since for me, they are all 1 in a wonderfull gaming experience, Heroes of Might and Magic I & II would come here as well, but the 4th is a piece of crap! (Sid Meiers/3DO, Strategy first, SSI,)
4- Everquest(Verant/SoE). Despite all, they still rank in 4th in my gaming experience...althought they *might* be the game I play the most, I aint sure althought, since there are no timer running on the others games.
5- Romance of the 3 Kingdoms/Bandits Kings of Ancient China(KUEI).
Althought they didnt qualify for my top 5 games, Steel Empire, Celtic Legends(Amiga only as far as I know), KOTOR, Axis & Allies(my only PvP game in those lists, dont denigrate it even if Hasbro lack) and Warlord would definitely get a distinction award! EDIT: I almost forgot, The Bard's Tale deserve that special distinction award as well, if only because the game was the first game to developp my tastes on the computers games and enjoy them...
In the Arcade games it would goes to: Tower of Doom (the game in Mystara, where you play the elf, the dorf, the cleric or the warrior until you kill the lich), kinda unsure of the title, but spend quite a few quarters in it. I recall the folks around looking weirdly at me as I was saying stuff like: I am ***, a peace cleric of the great *put a random god name* and then throw many curses as I was owning the red dragon with much troubles, was not easy, but was doing it, eventually, often with my full group wiped I was still kicking in(without using additionnal quarter, we have the rule that someone cannot spend quarter during that fight and only 1 in extra of the starting for the full game with the exception of the final boss, where everyone can kick in, as it didnt matter much)...lol, but not my type of games.
In all the above games...only Tower of Doom and EQ are not game based turn!!!
The best music award in a computer game would goes to: Iron Lord(Amiga), damn, I barely play that (*&%&*43 dumb weak, poor, uninteresting game a few times, and almost 20 years after, I find myself singing the music theme from time to time, dont you ever listen to it!

Galaga....Fun stuff Monday Morning Manager...little known Atari/AppleII Baseball Game, ... it was easily 10 years ahead of its competitors.

My all timer experience would be...
