Valentines Day: Important holiday for you?

Pointless topic I know, but I was curious.

 

How many of you think Valentine's day is a major holiday? How many of you think it's unimportant? Do you buy big gifts for your loved ones or just a candy or two? Do you go out to a restaurant or do you have a major shag fest? Was just curious. I usually buy my gf a big gift, take her out to a good place to eat, and then.... well... you know.

I don't think Valentines day is terribly important, considering it's just a hallmark holiday. But I enjoy it. My boyfriend tends to shower me with love and gifts, and I try to do the same. Valentines day is a fun holiday, but not important.

I think it's important, but not terribly important. I usually get some flowers and chocolates, nothing too major.

Stupid holiday imo...in  a recent survey, men spend an average of 2x the amount of money than women do on valentines day gifts...and that's only counting the ones that do buy stuff, because more men buy things on valentines day than women.

pfft, thats only because lots of women are crafty. A guy pays a lot of money  for chocolates, flowers, and a nice dinner., while I would go off, buy a 25 cent record, make a record bowl, and fill it with handmade shirts, soaps, and poetry.  His total? around $100, MY total? $10. And mine lasts longer. I mean, who wouldn't want a t-shirt with felix the cat, or Gir on it? Or quality soap, made by hand?

For 4 years i've never bothered buying my g/f any presents for anything lol, waste of money celebrating pointless crap. She always says she feels unloved but the bitch loves it lol. If i was nice she'd probally think im tooo needy get bored and go elsewhere.

na,I don't. I don't really like being caught up in relationships cause I never really like the idea of spending so much time with someone when I'd rather be  alone most the day.

(I can live a very sad life-yet I have no envy for another shitheads life. Of course most people do say I'm on the border line of mentally normal. I guess I could be a little senile.)

Oh yeah that could be an option. I forgot that they were dating for only a week. I can be slow in that way sometimes.

Good choice IMO. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and make sure you catch yourself a friendly bass and not a shark that would bite your head off.

I suggest you start out calmly, tell her why you're dumping her and then take it to her and tell her you were only using her for her G-Spot like Blazinblades said. And no worries you didn't hijack the thread, good luck to you.

Ugly usually isn't the problem. It's all about confidence and putting yourself in a position to meet like minded people. Of course, if you think you're ugly, you will probably lack confidence.

I knew a weird looking guy, who had little going for him except for confidence, and he was usually surrounded by women when we went out.

I always found found that the best way to meet women was to stop worrying about it and get on with enjoying my life and doing the things I wanted to do.

  I love Valentines it is so romantic.  I usualy buy my hubs flowers ( yes flowers) they are not just for women, and a few other gifts. I love showering him with gifts it makes me happy when he is happy ( his happiness is  what I live for) and he usualy buys me gifts.  We usualy go out to eat somewhere fancy, and then we like to go home and drink  a glass of champagne ( since he hates wine) and we slowdance to a few songs and ummm ,,,, well you know the rest.  So I guess you could say it is important to me and helps keep things spicy.

It's not really important, but it's a love/caring holiday. For me it's not imoprtant, but I to like the holiday. Sad thing is, that I just kinda seperated myself with the girl i loved and contact with her, becuase she don't know what she wants. Thus I might have a lonely Valentines Day this year. Yet that is a maybe indeed. I think I got some girls up my sleeve that might want to do somthing for V Day. If not, I'm just going to play Lost Planet and spend time with my dog. That's about it. I will be giving things to girl's I like though.



Back on focus, it's not really important, like you have to get a girl to celebrate it. It's a normal day for some and a lovable day for some. Just depends on your status.

I completely believe that Valentine's Day should be removed. It was originated by the fact that a person died  because he loved some dude's wife.  Now big businesses use the day to try to make big bucks.  Just like most holidays. Hell Holidays now  don't even have the meaning anymore. Its all about money.
