Valentines Day: Important holiday for you?

Overall, I think V-Day is a useless holiday.  I usually try to do something special for my girl friends (wife now, as this is our first married V-Day).  I usually try to do something creative like one year I set up a tent in the middle of a city park, where I had plenty of blankets and pillows and candles around.  Other times,  I just take her out to a nice dinner.

This year we just got a new computer together, so spending a lot of money to go out is not going to happen.  It is time to get creative again.

As a guy I couldn't care less about the day and I don't care about any gifts.  Guys who complain about not getting V-day gifts besides a little loving (directly related to the amount of effort they give to thier partner).  I don't expect anything ever and if I don't get anything,  I will love my wife all the same.

To me, it is a time to show all the women in your life how special they are. Just because you don't have a significant other during Valentine's doesn't mean you can't celebrate it.

The "love" in Valentine's day is hypothetical.

I just finished Rreka'al's gift, today! *squee*

It took me HOURS to make. Oh my god I love any holiday that I am required to give him a gift! Every year I get to try to top myself in valentines day themed crafting!

I'm  a crafty person, and my way of showing love is making things; its my passion. Because I get to do something I love for someone I love, I tend to enjoy valentines day

not that i hate Valentines day , it's just pointless. If you have  a wife or Gf you already show enough love through out the year. Comeon who agrees? I don't hate it , just find it pointless and it's noting to make a big deal about.

its not pointless when you feel motivated to do things for your significant other all the time. having a holiday centered around love just gives you a reason do/make for them something bigger, better, and shinier than what you did last week/month/year

Does brighten my eye's up a little to valentines day more. But still it all depends if you have a GF/ BF. If you do it really depends on if you truley love them , or your just making them feel better. let say if you were with this guy for a whole 2 years and you really cheerish him than you'll get him the most you could with your money/ or time. If you just began to see this person and still are'nt to into him/her you'd probably just refer to buying them a bear or flowers. If you still dont find wasteing money on this eprson enough than you'd probably just show them a good time at your house or thier house. So it really just depends whether you truely love.Than on the other hand if you bearly ever end up with a GF/BF on valentine's day you'd probably not find it as amuzing as other's with a loved one does. I dont find it to important because i usally end up breaking up with them a few month's or days away from VD and ending up alone ( which is'nt really a big deal for me).
