Is that all of these people who live on these forums, are all gold farmers who struck a deal with another, popular MMO. "Keep your account if you make 1 post a day describing to your peers how much our competitor sucks, and we will let you farm gold for 6 months before terminating your account's, provided that you are still commencing in activitys which are against our EULA".
Win-win situation, and something i find find easy to belive. Marketing is all about turning a negative into a positive, and doing dirty underhanded thing's in order to make whatever money that you can, where you can, and with whatever you can.
Unless people here think that we live in a world where morallity is the majority, and that most people follow an ethical guideline..in which case, take off those glasses before they get broken.

Don't worry, I'm sure posting hate on MMORPG.com will get as boring as Vanguard soon enough. But who knows, it might get better in 6 months time.

You forgot to add the alien agenda, the reptilian shape shifters who hold office all around the world. Watch out the Illuminati is on to you.
-Drizz
PS>.. Its a shame that we don't all live morally, ethically. through reason and logic, if we did I wouldn't have to constantly sift through all the Tom Foolery posted here.
PSS... I paid the 50 and was pissed too. In beta it seemed like a hoot, then it changed really quickly.

What???? You mean this is all a lie????????????? The people in office are aliens??????????????..........Come to think of it, that would explain allot.
If you spent the 50 bucks, and find it really bad just think of all the other things that you could have wasted even more money on....i mean shit happens just roll with it.
Examples of wasted money.
1. Miller/bud beer.
2. Going to fast in your ford and getting a ticket.....if u were driving a chevy maybe you wouldn't have gotten pulled over.
3. Getting drunk and finding a hooker....not only did u not remember what happened but she stole your wallet and left you with purple dots all over your penis.
4. Wow
5. Porn......i mean who actually pays for porn these days
6. Music.....see number five
etc....

Then you've either been doing something WAY wrong in the sack, or you're playing VG in a very different manner than the rest of us. Wasn't referring to You specifically, just a general you.
Seriously, though, I don't have many problems with VG. Certainly no more than any other MMO I've played this early on in it's life, and a good deal less than others. Got a guild with a good bunch of folks, and overall I'm having fun, warts and all. Some things drive me batty on occasion, and there's things I'd change if I had my druthers, but the game is what it is. Once I find I'm not having fun, or something I like better comes along, I will move on. And all without making some drama queen post that no one could give two shits about, droning on about how I'm leaving, or it gave me cancer, or whatever.
And, since I guess everyone forgot, as annoying as the overzealous fans with their heads in the clouds are, the overzealous anti-fans that exaggerate things to the opposite extreme are just as annoying. The self-righteous crusaders on a mission to save the world fabricating complete bullshit isn't any more interesting, or helpful, than fans claiming everything is sunshine and roses.
Though, I really haven't seen that many people here claiming it's perfect, et all, since beta finished. In fact some of it's staunchest supporters during beta, who gave me quite a bit of crap for coming down on the game as hard as I did, are notoriously absent. Whether they're too busy playing to come up for air, or they were disappointed with it, and didn't want to have to eat crow about it, I dunno.
I dunno who you've seen lying about the game, but noone I've seen has...
just a bunch of fanboi's trying to whitewash the warts and blame everyone except Sigil for the problems...
I have had plenty of honest interactions with people who want it, either way with this game.
But many of the vanboi's don't, and as much as you are just casually having fun, the bulk of who is left are the most hardcore fanatics.

Wow, check it out:
open up a couple of browsers... go to dictionary.com on both of them.
Look up responsibility and causality.
Now go to wiki and look up "logical progression".
Its not the person who was killed's fault rather than the murderer.
Its not the person who is food-poisoned they ate tainted food.
Its not the fish's fault for biting the baited hook.
Of all that is written, I love only what a person has written with his own blood. -Nietzsche
And whilst you may not care, due to you having fun, that is fine... But there are many people sitting on the fence, and I don't believe the only opinion they should hear is one that reflects the brand of logic presented in your argument... People fork over money for boob jobs willingly, doesn't mean the plastic surgeon has free reign to do a poor job.
Of course, in a perfect world, Sigil would let the market decide... give it 5 day free trials or something... then make those that enjoy the game, pay the retail price for wanting to continue... that is a fair market system my friend. But most game makers, know they are making poor quality products, it isn't just the trend with MMORPGS... They take your money and run... but they didn't force you... just like smoking in the 50's... This industry needs some regulation.

Ones like the guy, and I don't recall if it was here, or on another forum, that was griping that one of the discs was blank. Blaming Sigil, and SOE, as if it was all part of the evil plot to fuck him over personally.
Nevermind that it had nothing to do with Sigil, or SOE. Or that had he simply taken it back to where he purchased it, they would have replaced it. That would have been too easy. Much more fun to start a riot on some forum.
And of course the anti-fan crew came running out, foaming at the mouth about how it's just further proof that this is all some huge conspiracy to fleece people. Which brings out the fans of the game to call bullshit, and the usual crap flinging begins.
Or the guy claiming he was ripped off, because he wasn't able to log in whenever he wanted to because the server was down for 30 mins to an hour for an emergency hotfix, or for the morning maintenance. Last I checked, no game that in any way involves the internet states anywhere that it will be up and running 24/7, because it'd be the stupidest thing put into print in the history of business.
For every person that claims it's unplayable due to bugs, or performance issues, I can find another that's never experienced the problems they're complaining about. And I'm not referring to Anarchyart, or those who are usually accused of blindly championing the game.
Me, personally, I'm shocked that everyone isn't getting the same experience I am, considering that everyones computer is exactly the same as mine...

I expect a reply saying.. Well if you want a game where you will reach the level cap in a week... this game is not for you. The usual MMORPG.com poster seems to have issues following logical statements where quality of game production is concerned... and seems to use a macro program called inaneRetortForSupport.exe to generate responses.

I used to work at the local HP facility. All the parts on any given run of pc's that were built were the same, yet some would fail testing, and some wouldn't. I can't for the life of me figure out why, since we all know how well hardware, drivers, and software play together.
It's called sarcasm. Pointing out that not every single instance of an error is indicative of a flaw in the software. Nothing more, nothing less. Feel free to read into it as much as you need for your next gem.

I failed MY perception roll!!
(this is extra funny as someone just crawled up in my ass for calling them a liar and saying how great Vanguard is, lol)

Well, you won't get it from me.
The only thing I've pointed out about grinding in VG is there are already people at level cap. Which is more in response to the people saying this game is not for you, if you want to hit the cap in a week.
As for bugs. Let's see, mobs poofing during combat, check. Though the workaround for that was simple enough. And, since the last patch, haven't seen any instances of that happening. OMMV. Fell through the world once. Locked up once or twice. It was more prevalent on my older computer, which only had a gig of ram. Memory leak supposedly has been patched as well. According to the performance monitor, ram is still at the same percentage it was some 6 hours ago. Maybe they did nail it down, maybe they didn't and it's tied to a specific location or something. Memory leaks are some of the hardest bugs to nail down. Let's see. Oh, I had some issues with textures flashing white when I was in caves, dungeons, etc. A quick check to the Tech Support forum later, I turned off hardware occlusion, and problem solved. Driver issue I presume, as it seems to be pretty much confined to the 7000 series Nvidia, by and large.
There may have been other bugs I've encountered that just weren't noticable unless you were watching a debugger, or something.
Never had the problem with my characters appearance changing, or if it did, again, it was something like eye color that I didn't notice. Certainly nothing overt.
Framerates are around 40 fps, only time I lag is in some major cities near the crafting area, and then only for a second or two while all the textures are loaded into memory.
Ah, there was a bug in the orc/goblin starting area with a quest were you were supposed to lead some prisoners to a building were they would be killed by a pissed off wolf. Except the wolf wasn't killing the prisoners, and people kept dragging the npcs there, so there was a shitload of them, which caused some lag, and of course you couldn't finish the quest. It was fixed last patch as well.
Rogues are pretty screwed on the pvp servers, because their stealth doesn't work worth a damn vs other players, if at all. Can't say if this is intended, a bug, or just pve mechanics not working well with pvp mechanics, which is what I figure is the case.
For the record, I've never once said the world was seamless. There's zones in every mmo, except maybe Eve since it's all on one server and even there, I think there's "zones". I have not clue why this keeps getting brought up by anyone. Disconnect between what the devs mean by seamless, and what the players consider seamless, maybe. Hell if I know.
Feel free to tell me I'm not playing the game, or that I'm blind, though. Unless you weren't referring to me, in which case, nevermind.

Nope, certainly wasn't referring to you, more the children that play Vanguard that tell others to play WOW, because that is where the children are at... Which is ironic... especially when you consider that a number of these people are old enough to have their own children.Your posts tend be of very high quality, well written, and extremely informative.

That's one I don't hear to often. Thank you.
It's strange seeing a post not attacking someone or something lately.
In an effort to spread a wee bit of good karma, here's a puppy!
I was gonna post a bikini top shot(get it, puppies? yarr!), but since alot of people read from work, I thought better of it.
