ya'll might call me crazy but i'd have to say Redmoon... i dunno y lol it just is.. it really is the only MMORPG that i could get hooked on and stay hooked on but there are many good lookin games comin out that i might have to take a look at
If you would remove 10 zones from the game I would say EQ!
But that would be using a technic they always use and that is very ghetto, so instead of just killing all real raiding zones, if you make group sovereign in grouping uberness, it would be EQ! That would required quite some working althought.
Removing is never a nice option, need to add stuff that make group uberness earned in groups!

All posts in this thread are of course opinionated. I enjoyed Shadowbane as I was able to ignore the numerous downsides and appreciate the constant challenge PvP presented.
The logical non-opinionated answer is of course Anarchy Online, as it's the highest rated game here. Including a margin for error, DaoC may very well be the best. You'll find nothing concrete of course, since preferences vary from person to person.

Right now thats out Lineage 2 is about the only thing decent for now other then Dark Age of Camelot. Yet WOW is awsome but its in Closed Beta so no chance of playing that any time soon. City of Heros Ive heard is awsome to if you really love comics then this will be a great game for comic book fans and it comes out April 28 and its what ill be playing. Other then that nothing currently out really worth playing.
dude this Endless Ages of yours Darkcreed really blows. It has a crappy interface and you cant even get a weapon so you can play the actually game no wonder no one plays it.
atm i'd have to say Lineage 2 by a long shot... its about time we actually get a good, balanced PvP based game that doesnt use mindless zerging as means to take over castles
City of Heroes owns Lineage II. If you played both of them you'd know that City of Heroes is the best by far.No camping mobs for 2 hours. In City of Heroes you get a better choice of your character instead of "face A" or "Face B". Can't give you specific details because of NDA though.

I unfortuantely have to say none. Outplayed everything out there and they all are repetitive boring treadmills to me personally. In the MMORPG category in my opinion for a new game to play I would say DAOC is still the best runner right now but alot coming at us this year more glorified treadmills honestly. I am personally looking forward to WOW even though it's got all of the above as well and EQ2 is honestly looking rather well even though I despise SOE.

Since I haven't played Lineage 2 (and since i'm not seem to be able to get my s**pid accout to work) that everyone seem to be so happy about (i did play the Blodpledge beta, and it was nice) I vote falls on DARKSPACE (i just had to type that in big letters). It's a spacegame. Darn good it is, and nice community. Follow the link in my sig if you like.

None of them. They've all alike slithered to a new low. RWK rules Lineage2 and all other mmorpgs... I think I'll go out and make a competitive mmorpg with my 4 year old brother now...

COH and Lineage2 is the most decent of all right now. Although it may be over shadow by WOW, EQ2, and GW, later on. COH is pretty good for the moment, fun combat system, and great charactor creation. Lineage2 cause griefing, very Bad PvP system(incredibly bad penelties for PKing some jerks for stealing your kills and loots), bad control, bad charactor creation, but it's still pretty decent if you can look past it.

Also crappy quests, flooded areas, huge level grind.... hehe

I would have to vote Tibia as one of the best MMORPGs around. The point in a MMORPG is to socialise, which is something you cannot do in an offline game. Things like Mu Online are more of an offline game as it is so very difficult to speak to people. So yeh...I've played Tibia for a year now and that's what I'd go for
My opinion about the best mmorpg right now is Lineage II. It is still in Beta but plays very smoothly, has enough content to keep you going, at least until final release, it has great balancing between race/classes, a huge community already, plenty of diversity in monsters and scenery, and a fun combat system with some active skills to use and great graphics. There is a level treadmill, but if you make a few friends, which it is almost impossible not to, adventuring and getting levels will come quickly and will be more fun with others to talk to. It is PvP-based, but I was surprised to find out that there are many roleplayers forming clans. The Devs have corrected some problems that the players have been complaining about, and I suspect that final release will have a lot more polish and content.
The thing that is most important and how I came up with Lineage II as the best mmorpg right now is that it is fun to play. It still could be so much better, but from the look of things, it will improve to become an even better game.
(Warning: I feel like I should give my opinion on the worst game in beta right now that everyone should look out for. Saga of Ryzom is nowhere near ready for open beta. The game just doesn't work. I am not saying it won't be a good game, but it is being rushed and I have a feeling it won't live up to expectation if the development continues as it is now. I tried for 2 weeks now to test the game, and it is totally unplayable (on my PC). The most testers I have seen on the beta so far is 65 people. Many have altered their system specs to test. This is not something I would advise. I am not going to alter my specs to play the final version, why should I change my computer settings when the developers should be fixing the code to allow everyone with different PC's to play. Just a warning.)
