    But I think its more to do with the fact that the most obvious EvE web address dont go to eve, www.eve.com or www.eveonline.com dont go to EvE's website so players are forced to goggle it.

    Where as www.warcraft.com or www.worldofwarcraft.com does go to WoW's website so less need to google for it.

    It's a funny joke because there is rivalry between WoW fanboys and Eve Online fanboys as to which is the best game.

    I got to say that these things can't really tell if WOW is better that EVE and the other way around. It's the players themselves who would determine it. And it doesn't matter if Eve had beaten WOW or WOW beats EVE. I still like WOW and not EVE

    Lordy, it was a joke! Was i referring to your post?? I was talking about these things in general FYI. My point is that whatever anybody say or some survey results, I like WOW than any other game!! What happened to people reading clearly before even posting??

    I think you're saying either one of two things laffncry:

    1) You want posts to only discuss WoW and nothing else. If this is the case, read a different thread instead.

    2) You think I'm trying to convince people to play Eve instead of WoW. Well, this wasn't my intension.

    1. I read threads not WOW-related just to read them and not to diss or something. I am open to others opinion about this game whether they like it or not.

    2. I am not saying that you are doing that sir. Did I mention anything about that?? I believe I didn't.



    What i said on my previous posts are just opinions. And I am not pertaining on your OP when i posted it. Read and UNDERSTAND the posts before replying please.

    I really don't know if you can read clearly...I was referring to surveys in general and not actually pertaining to you posts.. Or to make it easier for you brain to process, I am talking about the surveys in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD and not only yours post's link. Did you get it? coz' I really don't know how to explain things to you much easier.

    whatever they say i'll go play  w0w rather than eve, eve is nice too and to be compared with w0w i think that game looks awesome but unfortunately nothing will beat w0w when in comes to the number of subscribers..with 8.5 million people and still growing

    One huge advantage WoW has over Eve is a human-like avatar. I think this is THE most important difference.

    8.5 million people prefer WoW due to very 'human' and emotional reasons. When I played WoW, the appearance of my avatar was more important than simple logic can explain.

    HOWEVER, once we get human avatars in Eve that can walk in stations, I predict the impact will be huge. This is because Eve encourages human interaction more than WoW.

    sorry, I laughed at your post.

    Yes, some people are turned off by EVE's lacking of Avatar, but do you really think THAT is the BIGGEST difference between WoW and EVE? I mean... the games are so different in concepts and ideology that you could not get more different ones. One is pure Sandbox, pvp is king, content is made mostly by players, hardcore penalties, realism before fun.

    Against WoW. mostly PvE oriented, casual oriented, theme park, content made by devs, no penalties, fun before realism (or lore).

    They are like polar opposites. Most other game are somewhere in between (ok, you could argue LOTRO and EVE are polar opposite and WoW is just slighty more Eve-Ward than LOTRO as it has at least pvp).
