LMAO. I don't care what anyone says that's fucking hilarious
whatever they say i'll go play w0w rather than eve, eve is nice too and to be compared with w0w i think that game looks awesome but unfortunately nothing will beat w0w when in comes to the number of subscribers..with 8.5 million people and still growing
Accually other games do beat wow with number of subs. Other games have 12-14 million. Games like Lineage 2 for example. WoW is just the first western MMO to reach those numbers. Asian MMO's have been doing it for years now.
imo, nothing beats w0w..maybe because i haven't even played those game that have more than w0ws population...but even i have already enjoyed playing this game and to think to shift from another game is a no no for me
Although the two are both MMORPG's, this is their only similarity.
When EVE Online, allowsyou to orbit planets, and send pods down to colonize it, then allows the character to create specific toons to exit the pod/s and quest on a planet, with the "locals" and the ability to fight enemies on it.....Then yes, perhaps it will be the greater game.
Until then, the only thing these games share is Specific Genre:MMORPG...not to mention one is SCIFI fantasy, the other, Cultured Fantasy.

One huge advantage WoW has over Eve is a human-like avatar. I think this is THE most important difference.
8.5 million people prefer WoW due to very 'human' and emotional reasons. When I played WoW, the appearance of my avatar was more important than simple logic can explain.
HOWEVER, once we get human avatars in Eve that can walk in stations, I predict the impact will be huge. This is because Eve encourages human interaction more than WoW.

I'm sure I'm going to get completely flamed now because I've stupidly raised this on a WoW forum, but what the heck!
Oh-my-God when this happens I will be all over EVE.
We will be able to shoot each other with laser guns and slice each other with laser swords, right? Right?
Current MMOs: Rift, GW2, Defiance
