However, I hope you dont get your hopes too high since AOC actualy looks better in it's beta stage than RV has throughout it's entire existance.
One big thing BTW, you will actualy be able to see the sun even if you live in America. Thats a concept RB should have looked at too.
It is too bad that RB decided to build a game just for their core testers and investors(since thats obviously the only ones they listen to)... they should have made the game the way they said it would be from the start. Don't know what I mean? Read the RV description on their main page again.

Well I am just recently going through all the forums and thats the reason this msg is over a month behind the quote above.
Anyway...you're soley basing what they SAY is going to be in this game. How many new MMO's have we seen flop soon after beta/release. How can you say this game is going to be so great because of ... when you have never played it? Their interpretation of an awesome combat system may vary from yours by quite a bit. You people kill me by basing games of hearsay and even interviews for that matter. Look at Huxley...that game has had some drastic changes from what they stated would originally be released. According to Huxley-Nexus they were thinking about going to an arena style gameplay...things change during development. So you really don't know what you're getting until it actually releases...

I am not sure what game you are refering to... this(RV) or AOC. But if you are refering to this game I have played it alot, at release that is. But the reality soon set in and I could plainly see that ,as you said, they changed dam near every feature they said they would have in it.(for the worse)
As for AOC, if you were talking about it. You can clearly see from the game footage they have released that it is dam near fully functional and that they have the features they said they would in and operable.
Of this you can be assured, they won't change all the features or just leave them out because they aren't ready and still sell their dam game to the public. (like RV did)
Not to mention that the game(AOC) is much more appealing to the eyes.
I will say that I still keep checking the site to see if they have updated or fixed this game yet.... but no surprise here, their are still no new updates in well over a month now. This has come to be expected my the majority of their previous fan base... myself included. This has been the norm since release.
And just for a recap, still have stupidly priced items that you are supposed to buy with RL money (like some asian mmmo store), crafting times are still enormously large and require you to spend as much time on them as you do IRL at your RL job and last but certainly not least... GRINDING in their supposedly grind free world, you seem to have to spend a enormous ammount of time grinding.
I had said bunches of times that if they want people buying ses then that ses has to go atleast some kind of distance, as they said 5k ses would last 2- mabe 3 months of average playing, but alas it last all of 3 or 4 purchases... WTF? Some players say that it will last alot longer(or you don't even need to buy it) if you just work in game... fuck that I have a job. I came to the game for fun. And might I mention I came to the game willing to pay them 15- 20 a month. To sustain a comfortable lifestyle in game, where as those that are unwilling to pay monthly should be the ones that have to put in the work (in game) so they can enjoy it free of charge. Those freeloaders would/should have made up the community of workers for those that are supporting the game by paying...
Dosent take much to see the logic in what I am saying but the loyal RV fans(partners or whatever) don't want to lose the edge they got on everyone else atm, even if it means they will be riding this game to the grave... so I hope they enjoy.
