It is not realistic to prophetise when it will be released, and surely all dates have their good points and bad points, some dates even have more bad then good, and others have more good than bad, but....
one thing is for sure, if they release a game that should not have yet been released it will be a disaster.
WoW's release was flawless, and imo no not even DAoC can come close to comparing its release with WoW's if you stop and carefully consider the immense ammount of content WoW started with.
Not AoC or any other game will have as much impact on War's success as WoW will, after 3 years of WoW there will be an immense playerbase that will look to play something diferent, the first thing WoW'ers will compare War with is.....yes believe it or not it will be WoW, and this comparison will be a purely playability comparison, and it better run as smoothly as WoW does or they will all just go back to WoW.
Rleleasing the worst possible date a flawless game is 1000 times better then releasing an unfinished game the best possible date.
I expect the game to be delayed atleast one more time, but Mythic will definetly not release info about everything in the game before it's released to leave some surprises for the players to discover themselves.

You could not have been part of WOW's launch and make this statement. Those of us who really there remember the crashing servers, being stuck in loot lag or unable to resurrect (or even find you corpse) back in the first few months. It actually got so bad that they kept giving us extra "days" of free sub time and bonus exp all over the place.
While the game itself was pretty polished...they mis-estimated how many people were going to subscribe..and were buried under the onslaught.... and they didn't fix it quickly...load balancing issues continued on many servers for more than a year... I know...I had to transfer off of one last fall because of the 1 hour an more queue times on the weekends.
As to when WAR comes out? Mar 2008 isn't a bad guess, but it wouldnt surprise me if it slipped out until sometime in the 2nd Qtr.

It is strange you have chosen to directly confront me like this, i was in Beta before WoW release and i was during release, my account was created11 February 05 14:05 CET
An extremely important piece of info you may need to know though is that i speak about European Release, maybe the USA experienced more problems, but even then because i followed everything posted about WoW the release seemed flawless, especially considering all other games and their releases.
I have also been at tthe release of UO, EQ, AO, E&B, AC2, Lineage2, Planetside, Shadowbane, Neocron, Eve, and others i wont bother listing.
I am surprised you were aty WoW's release and experienced so much trouble, unless ofcourse you are refering to a once every 20 gathering loot times you character would get stuck at loot position, or the time servers would crash about twice a day, someting that actually started happening a couple of weeks after release because of the seer overpopulation that happened, an overpopulation that not even blizzard anticipated, and was resolved once they introduced their next batch of servers.
The same examplary, kind of release was TBC release.
If you want to know how the release of some of the games i listed felt like then try to remember how Blizzard totaly messed up the Ahn Quiraj gate oppening and you will get a pretty good idea.
If you think that those totaly minor problems WoW experienced with release were anything but negligible then i am afraid you seem to not have been in any other mmo's release, which i suspect is not the case so it leaves me wondering about your comment.

As long as they release the game and not a beta like VG
