It is called a nuclear holocust for a reeason, cause every major super power has them .
If you read the book "Bible Code" it is very much coming true.
if you read the book "The Selfish Gene", that's very much true. It really shows those few percentages of DNA not in common with animals really don't make a shred of difference.
This is the quote...interesting that you told him "if you read the book" when you yourself havn't read the book...stop citing sources that you aren't at all familiar with.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
My point is that you can interpret books (the more biased, the easier) any way you want. I thought that was clear...
I could've taken Harrpy Potter, maybe it would've been more clear then.
Have you even read the book of Revelation? It leaves very little to the imagination...and anyway, your point is...pointless, because you're comparing apples to oranges by citing a book about genetics and associating it with a book about the end of the world. Your saying that people can interpret things differently, but in revelation, there isn't very much to interpret...I said that at the times of prior armageddon scares, there was not a humanistic means to accomplish the things stated in Revelation, and now there are...By talking about interpretations of the book you completely missed the point in an attempt to sound intelligent.

The Book of Revelations is one of the most metaphorically saturated pieces of human literature. It's all about symbology and vague, obscure 2nd century Roman political references. I don't see how you can say "there isn't very much to interpret".
By the way...F*** Ahmadinejad and the Islamic Revolution he rode in on.

In fact I have read Revelations. think it's a really cool book. Really descriptive.
You talk like it's not open for interpretation... Dude, wake up. Everything's open for interpretation, including the fucking phone book.
So yea, you go ahead and see that book like it's a constante, written 2000 years ago for events that are to take place now. Don't look upon it like it's written by a solitary monk, who was banished to a remote island by the Nero regime (which many believed would end the civilized world)... That would be insane...
And stop staring to my genetics example. Replace it with a random comic book, okay?
If I would care about looking intelligent... Would I "debate" with you? Don't think so.

I love how when you get outed for citing something that you are completely clueless about, you have to start getting all pissed off...it's cute. And no, not everything is open to interpretation...that's what's wrong with society, people like you think that everything in the world can just be interpreted in whatever way best suits your needs, it doesn't work that way. You want to interpret the phone book? Go ahead and pop one open and interpret the phone numbers as something else...what? My use of your once again rediculous analogy doesn't fly? Well that seems familiar...oh yeah...it's because neither of your analogies makes any sense, and they're completely fallacious, even if you gave them the tiniest bit of logical thought. Stop with your pseudo intellectual psycho babble, maybe you're fooling some people into thinking that you're smart, but I'm not buying it.

1: I'm not mad. I'm sorry you think people actually connect emotions to thse kinds of discussions.
2: Being demeaning isn't the way to win a discussion. Wanting to win a discussion is simply foolish.
3: I took the phone book as an example because there are people who honestly believe them to be code books of aliens/free masons (forgot which one). Yes, you can interpret anything you see in any way you want. There might be an absolute truth, but until further notice there's no real reason why we should hold on to it (or be able to understand it). Another example. The smurfs. Communists? Drug dealers? Or just cartoon characters without a sex drive? 9/11, a terrorist attack or an evil conspiracy? The landing on the moon, real or fake? Shakespeares' sonnets, proof he was gay or genuine sighs about the torments of love? The Bible, a book written by people from different times and for different intentions or a book truly inspired by God? Evolution, myth, liberal propaganda, the scientific truth or God who was too lazy to work for six days and wanted to do it the easy way? This little text, an attempt to appear smart to a few braindead 14-year olds who have the attention span of an mouse with epilepsy (not meaning you) or a genuine attempt to explain something? Second life, scam or game? ... etc ... etc ...
I honestly think that different interpretations are a blessing on mankind. It's just another way to voice another POV about a subject, which usually forces people to question their interpretation. And thus we have this little bit of natural selection about what the best interpretation/definition/explanation is. Lack of different interpretations can prove quite destructive for the collective intelectual capacity. For example, the ancient greeks simply calculated the earth was round. Then in the 1490's someone actually had to fare over the friggin Atlantic to prove his interpretation of the earth was right.
4: So you accept Revelations was written by someone who lived in his timeframe and... interpreted what he saw as important in a way that offers a universal view on final destruction, even compatible with the world of today?
In a way, I believe Iran is thinking the same thing terrorists and insurgants are thinking- that the brits and americans etc are weak willed; that we can be bullied into backing down. If I was going to put money on it, I would say that, while it would work for terrorists, it won't for Iran. Why? Because we don't like killing people, and the thought of killing people who aren't our enemies digusts us, as it should- and if you are going to fight terrorists, guerilla fighters, insurgents, whatever you call them, innocent people are going to die.
BUT- if a nation stands up against us, they are going to get the real thing. Iran following it's current course can only help to unify the people of nations that are currently very divided. Even in the context of post 9-11, the US and our allies didn't have a real enemy to fight, not in the traditional view. Aside from reports on TV, the average person in the US doesn't even live like we are in a war. Give us an enemy with uniforms, a government and a flag- and you will see just how overspread we really are.
We seem weak on TV to some people.. doing things like valuing the lives of your soldiers will do that- just remember you aren't even fighting us yet, you are fighting our volunteer soldiers and extra money. Go ahead Iran, piss us off and remind us in ways 9-11 never could what it means to be a member of a society that values truth and freedom, wether its British, American, or anywhere in the world.
No one's going to risk war with Iran over 15 sailors. Fighting Iran would cost anyone; including the U.S. dearly in terms of lives and equipment. There will be a diplomatic solution to this.
See? Every time there's a lull in the standoff over Iran's right to develop nuclear power Ahmadinejad issues a new, and usually provocative, statement outlining Iran's progress toward atomic power.
"I am proud to say that right from today our country has entered the group of countries that produce nuclear fuel industrially." President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
