Story driven MMO - An Achilles heel?

    The only reason story driven play is bad in lotro is because everyone gets funneled into the same questing area. You dont choose where you go for quests  the designers did when they made it. Lotro's story driven play is great but i cant stand the game.

    I think if turbine can pull this one off, it will be not only probably the best MMO i have ever played, but a real benefit to the industry and MMO consumers.

    I idealized the story driven model of a changing MMO world ( that keeps expanding and expanding through geography, content, storyline ). I think my hesitation to rush to the end, is fear i will be dissapointed.

    I can say however, when you are doing the epic quest and get the cutscenes and keep going forward as a group err fellowship, it is really really fun

    1000 quests?  Walk over there and talk to xxx is not what I call a quest.  Fighting goblins, wolves, rats, orcs at every zone gets boring fast.
