    I'll remind those doing beta about the NDA. As for everybody else. Why dont you just wait until the games are released and simply try them. Certainly from what I've seen the games will be different to each other, to some extent and hence will have their own target markets. There will of course be people that like both games. So what is a pro or con to one person can certainly be different to another person. If AOC doesn't have any goblins then thats a pro for me

    AoC i think just seems boring. Idk Im excited about WAR and for people who think its like WoW just cause it has elves and orcs your wrong Lol. Go read some fanasty books there are 100's who have elves and orcs but not like Lord of the rings. Does that make those books LORT version 2.0? I think not. WAR all the way :P

    I think warhammer is going to suffer the same problem as lord of the rings does, its going to be a good game, but feel so much like wow you will just get bored quickly.

    Age of conan is looking promising, although the combat system looks meh. and the graphics as well as the mature rating seem to be its main features, which leads me to thinking the gameplay will be terrible or it will be like everquest 2 was when it realeased such high system requirements that even if it is good half of its potential customers wont even be able to play it.

    Scriar, War will feature tonnes of PvP, so dunno where the bordom will lie tbh.

    I just get the impression that its wow, before battlegrounds were added. I also dont like the sound of their teir system, it sounds like a bigger version of battlegrounds.

    I will still try it though, any game with good pvp is a game i will try ;p

    Plus that guy in all their adverts is funny, so ill buy the game just so he makes more money lol

    Yeah, Paul sold me on the game too.I did read some Warhammer books way back in time when I was young  and liked them a lot. I will be buying both WAR and AOC. I think I can split my time between 2 MMOs successfully but not more than that. I will be trying lots of tings, Tabula Rasa, Gods and Heroes, POTBS etc, and will choose the best 2 to play long term.

    If you asked me which game I am most excited to play right now, I would say WAR. If you ask what is the most intriguing aspect of upcoming games, I would say its a toss up between Gods and Heroes minion system, WAR sacking the city, AOC combat system

    I won't play AoC.

    If they refine the PvE, I will be in WAR.  If not, I will be playing something else.

    WAR seems to me not like a wow clone, but more like a wow2.0 or something. I like a more upgraded quest and pvp battle system but the RvR system seems to similar for the games to not be really close to one another. wow, and war that is. i was wondering what the reader thought really set WAR apart from the rest. and my biggest fear is i see a huge potential for cookie cutter race/class which is super-lame these days. also one of the artists used the term "Teir 4 armor" and i allmost screamed WOW CL0n3Zr?!?!?!?

    AOC seems pretty new to me, alot of "NEW" things have been propsed but i really just see them borrowing much of their game from shadowbane. archtypes, siege combat etc. ii'm wondering how it will all work out. they don't seem to tell us much. the only thing that really worries me about AOC is the whole Xbox PC division of community, and whispers of Xbox players getting better treatment through extra carrotts... which if it's limited wont matter, but if they have excess to higher end items or dungeons or something that would be pretty lame. as long as it's a balance it'll be fine.

    just wondering what ya'll think .please this thread is intended to be an honest debate on neutral ground, i'm not saying one game is better than the other and i'd like to have anyone who replys to follow this model.

    i will say that in comparison to mmo world shere history whatever,

    WAR = WOW2.0

    AOC = SHADOWBANE2.0

    from what i've seen so far.

    I am going to be playing them both..  thank god no more WoW

    Well, I can't say much about AoC since it never interested me, but I can tell you something about WAR.

    First of all, Tier 4 Armor does not mean a Set. WAR's levels are seperated between Ranks, and Tiers. So a WAR Level will be something like: Tier 3, Rank 5. Or Tier 2, Rank 8.

    You start as Tier 1, Rank 0. Then raise to Tier 1, Rank 9, and the next lvlup is a "bigger one", making you Tier 2, Rank 0.

    So Tier 4 Armor means nothing else but "High End Armor". However, there will be Armor Sets, too, but there will be plenty of them and they'll differ from WoW's "Tier 1 weaker than Tier 2 weaker than Tier 3"-Approach, different Sets will probably do different things, so you might want to mix and match them or rather wear a more offensive or defensive set.

    To the Cookie Cutter Race/Class...well I dunno how exactly you meant it, but to erase one thing first: Each Class is one-race-specific. Meaning only Orcs will be able to become Choppas, only Empire will be able to become Warrior Priest. The other thing probably being: "There will probably be "The best Healer" "The best Tank" and so on for both Realms"...and well, the risk exists for PvE, no doubt. But for PvP, all Classes will bring significantly different things to the table, so all will most probably have their uses (and Mythic will probably make sure that every class has viable roles in PvP).

    And the RvR System...well, WoW has no RvR, simple as that. First of all because RvR is a Copyrighted Trademark of Mythic, but also because some capturable Objectives in 3 Zones or so, and 3 (4) Battlegrounds really is not RvR. RvR is every Zone is Capturable, 150+ Scenarios, XP and Loot for PvP, Competitive Quests, Capitol City Sieges. WAR will laugh about WoW in terms of PvP, no matter what Blizzard might add, they won't even come close to WAR in terms of RvR/PvP.

    THat having said, I don't think one can really say wether AoC or WAR will be better, they're two different games.

    AoC takes the revolutionary approach, new combat/spell system, going Mature and all that. This bears the huge risk of a miserable failure if the Combat system is broken, glitchy and unbalanced, if they misjudged the effect of making the game 18+ and thus lack subscribers. But it also offers great reward if they manage to pull it all off properly. I'll definately take a look into AoC ~2 weeks after release or so, but I don't hold my breath yet, because the chance of being disappointed is rather high IMO.

    WAR on the other hand takes the evolutionary approach, improve on existing Combat System, add some new stuff that makes it exciting again, copy good things from WoW and DAoC alike, while leaving out/altering the bad things. WAR will probably feel rather familiar when you first play it, assuming you played a MMORPG before. This minimizes the risk, since all has been tested and liked before, so I think it's safe to say that WAR will be a success. However it does not have the chance to be an insane breakthrough either.

    Two different games for different people I'd say. I'm waiting for WAR because I don't like the wannabe-realistic style of AoC, and I want to play something different than a Human.

    My guess is: Both Games will be a success, both will stick around for quite some time.
