wow the mmo came out before war the mmo. blizzard stole their idea from war and made wow.so if wow is basicly war then why quit wow and play war when you are allready in wow with a high lvl toon with good friends, a good guild, and the best armour and just restart on war. war is a little diffrent so go ahead but you cant deniy that wow the mmo came out years before war and that is what the ppl are trying to say not that wow was dreamt up back in 1920 and war stole the idea from blizzard,well 90% of them oh and i personlly never played wow and im not a wow fan but i just wanted to state the truth and i might try out war because i never played wow. war look fun but conan might be better,we will see.
Dude, just because they are based roughly.. ROUGHLY on the same lore (WoW is a bad interpretation of the Warhammer world) doesn't mean you need to take the 'been there done that' attitude.
Mythic / Blizzard are two very different developers and if you take the time to look into both you will see that are aimed at completly different audiences, WoW being of low quality mainly PvE, WAR of a high quality mainly comprising of PvP but even the PvE is bound to PvP, its going to be really fun i think Blizzard has actually done a good job of developing their lore separate from the Warhammer lore. I think most people are calling it a "clone" because they see the similarity in art style, which Blizzard borrowed from Games Workshop. Warhammer Goblins looked like Warhammer Goblins long before Warcraft Goblins looked like Warhammer Goblins. I wouldn't expect WAR to use a different art style just because their imitator released an MMO before they did.

can't say i've ever trusted screenshots anyway... too easy too make the game appear better than it is or depending on the source, worse.

How many ways can you draw a dwarf and still have it look like a dwarf? Dwarfs have a certain iconic look to them and if they do not adhere to that look they end up not being dwarfs.

First of all... Warhammer came FIRST, by decades. Warhammer has been around a LONG time, and so Warcraft is a cartoony Warhammer clone.

At one point GW sued Blizzard for what they saw as a blatant rip-off of their IP but since Blizzard had made enough changes to the game the case was thrown out. Yet the point stands that Blizzard with it's WoW/Warcraft games copied the ideas and original look from the Warhammer world after GW pulled their IP license.

Unfortunately, people who haven't played any MMORPG aside from WoW think Blizzard invented the genre. They're going to think everything is a "WoW clone," simply by way of it being an MMO.

god this is funny....i mean your talking about the fantasy genre that was pretty much created by Tolkien himself...Middle Earth was created WAYYYYY before ANY of the other RPGs were even thought of...as for WAR the MMO...from what i have seen the graphics, gameplay, even the PvP is nothing like WoW at all....it looks more enjoyable.
