Don't blame teenagers, blame the moms and dads that behave in such an appaling way. Teenagers behave the way parents let them, but don't forget they are kids, parents are supposed to be adults............... By the way the mother on this video is very shallow and stupid, why buy a 70K car to her daughter 1 year before she can actually drive it?
I mean what on earth lurk inside that woman head? Piles of shit??
That's actually very true. Who has the responsability to raise kids. Their parents do. Raise them. Not give them friggin cars they haven't done shit for.
While it's the parents work to raise up their kids, the society still got a pretty big part. Parents raise their kids up, but just like everything else they are part of our world. They look up to the older "kids" and see which of them are "cool" and which aren't. They learn that it's those who smoke and drink that are considered cool. They follow the example.
Parents raise the kids up, but it's the society that takes care of how the kids think of themselves. How they think they fit in.
Btw, if you met me out in the streets I'm sure you wouldn't consider me to be a very nice teenager either. However, I'm good in school like to learn, read books and so on, but while I'm around with my friends I act like someone else. Why? Because it's not accepted amongst teenagers to be nice and polite.
What you see isn't always the truth, it's very often a faked behavior.
Peer pressure to alter your behaviour to certain patterns is in my humble opinion very, very dangerous. I'm all for raising kids to be true individuals. They should even be taught to cope without family or friends antogether. This is an invalable life lesson. Sounds harsh but it's bitter reality that other people are often more of a curse than a blessing. Especially in the teenage years should one be confident/independent enough to say no and walk away, in no matter what situation. Might sound bourgeois but the ability to do that might keep one from doing drugs or continuing with it. And the loneliness that can come from that will only be a good preperation for later on.
BTW, if you met me out in the streets I'm sure you wouldn't consider me a very assholish/dangerous teenager. However, I sucked at school, read lots and then don't apply the knowledge, did a shitload of really, really bad crap and so on, but while I'm around people I ct like someone else (tho I'm getting fed up with that). Why? Because it's not accepted in society to be an asshole.
What you see isn't always the truth, it's very often faked behaviour.

I was too stoned in high school to fake any behaviors.
The quote at the end "You ruined my life." Makes me sad to be in her generation she obviously hasnt been raised properly. And her swearing at her parents like that it really gives teenagers a worse name then they already have.

In a way she's right.
Yup, just goes to show if there are no enforced rules &/or structure in their life....well this is just proof of what will happen if that's absent.
Btw, I had to buy first car, used (but is WAS the car I've wanted since I was teenager), and it took some serious budgeting (you don't get jack for an enlisted person in the military) on my part for the loan.
This video kind of scares me though, my aunt and uncle had to try for about 10 years before they had my cousin, and when they did my uncle said something to the effect of, "I've waited 10 years to have a son and I'm going to spoil him all I want." They're not rich, but he could still end up with that destructive entitlement thinking if they're not careful.
As far as the color goes, the only reason I would have gotten her a different color car (other than red) is that:
1 - Shes a teenage driver
2 - It's an expensive car
3 - And it's red
That usually gets more attention on the road by cops than anything else, so for HIS sake he should have picked a less flashy color to cut down on the attention, because I'm betting it's only a matter of a few months before she gets a ticket. Whether he's paying a lawyer to fight the ticket (which I'm sure someone with that kind of money would) or just having her plead guilty then paying the raised car insurance prices, he would have been better off with a black or gray car...f*ck the blue, I would paint it puke green before I would give into her whining.
You want something that will really keep you up at night?
Just imagine when that dippy bitch starts up a brood of her own. And she will, because she firmly believes she's too special to get knocked up, and she seems highly unlikely to be able to say, or spell contraceptive, let alone use one.
Just think on how she's turned out, and then apply an order of magnitude to her kids.

No, you can't think like that. Kids are 100% responsible for themselves. Education, background and genes doesn't have shit to do with how the kids turn out. They can be fine members of society if they'd only want it enough.
She attends a prominent university. Remains very spoiled, morally and intellectually vacuous. Through wealth and connections attains a "responsible" position in hospital, business, academia, or government. You can draw your conclusions from there.
EDIT: Reminds me of an irresponsible, party-going playboy (*COUGH* George *COUGH* Bush) and what they can do to your tax system (estate tax), foreign policy (preemptive strikes), health care (one in five reading this do not have health care), a country's capital structure (record debt and deficit), and jobs (economy based on illegal labor). It is scary.

Oh, ho ho. I see what you did there.
Well, tried to do, anyway. Don't let it get you down, though.
Gee, I wonder who posted that video. Mom? Snarky little brother? Or someone who was SUPER pissed off that they didn't get any cake.
This is from the TV show Super Sweet 16 on MTV. Every spoiled brat on that show goes through dumb drama such as this one.
What? Are you saying she KNEWshe was being recorded? Oh dear.
Yeah, so I'm pretty sure she is worse in person. Yo man, watch 6 esipodes of this popular () show and you will have a different (much worser) outlook on spoiled rich kids. There was one girl crying about 1 girl she didn't invite in the party. South Park did a sketch moking the show too.
When I was in high school, this girl came to school one day with a new car. A really nice one. I can't remember what kind, but everyone was hemmin' and hawin' about how nice her car was, blah blah blah.
Later that day I caught the end of an incident in the hall where her and her friends were making fun of this girl that they always picked on in the hall between classes. It was your typical girl bully situation, the girl they were picking on was a nice girl but not very popular or dressed nice or anything, just a quiet girl that pretty much kept to herself.
Well, somehow (like I said I came at the end of the incident) they got on the topic of the car that the girl they were picking on was driving. It was a green Honda that she drove to work everyday after school and to school everyday in the morning. Well, the girl that got the new car that day said, "I guess we can't all actually have money to get the best things."
Well, this made me a little angry. Hehehe , so I got in the middle of it.
I asked the girl that got the new car where she worked. She didn't. She apparently went home everyday (after cheerleading I'm sure ) to sit on her lazy ass. So, I asked the other girl where she worked and she said at TCBY. I asked her how much she made and she told me. So then I said to the girl who got the new car that it seems to me the girl she was picking on had more money. This totally blew her mind. Somewhere she didn't realize that she had NO money, it was her parents, and she was a spoiled little brat. She didn't even pay for the gas to go in her car!
Anyways, it's just one of those moments of my life that have stuck in my mind all these years. Thought I'd share it.
My first car was a mercury grand marquis 1996 with 243K miles. no one would buy it because it had high mileage, so my dad saved it for me. and you know what i was truly grateful. sure not many chicks digg it, and some of the windows don't roll down, gets less than 15 mpg and cost me 60$+ at the gas station, and liability insurance is a bitch. but hey im still grate full, i don't have to pay car insurance ( because its not worth nothing lol )
and you know what? its the best kind of car you can have, one without a payment

That's awesome. Congrats, just made me very rich. (thanks to the government, sigh)
For some reason the filters at the library I'm at won't allow that site. Maybe they are over sensitive to the name of that site. I found another site with the video, incase anyone else is having the same problem as me:
A few people in this thread got to the root of the problem - it's the parents. And where IS the father? Every kid needs a firm, strong, father figure in their life. IF the mother really, really, loves her daughter, time for some tougher love. Take a summer vacation just like one of the posters name Razorback in this thread on page 1 did - he went to SE Asia. The mother should take her daughter there, or to Africa, or S. America, or even Mexico. And LIVE with a local, native, family. Don't tell the daughter when they will come back, or even if they will come back. Pay the local, native family to live and work with them.
From watching the mother in the video, especially her voice, tone, and body language when she offers the car...... For some reason, I picture the mother was a brat, who used her looks/compliments to get a guy with a great job. Her brattyness lead to the father divorcing her, she gets a large chunk of his money and savings. Now she's raising a brat daughter. And the cycle repeats.
The saddest thing of all is, when that girl grows up, she will continue a cycle of bad parenting, with her kids turning out even worse.
"""""It cannot change. It cannot be treated. When the window of internalised other closed inchildhood, it jammed shut - never to let light in again. """""
[maybe it was the mother when she was a teen? LOL!]
***EDIT***
I just found out this video was on purpose pre-manufactured by a major company to put their brand name in the spotlight. They made 4 in a series, with the last one finally coming clean:
Some slick ad execs are using a new thing called "viral advertising". Harnessing the power of the internet by on purpose fomenting stories that are likely to be picked up by surfers and emailed to friends who email it to friends etc... and posted on blogs:
1. Better no dad than a bad dad. (try saying that 10 times non stop)
2. If I'm not mistaken there's a lot of people in deep shit in the US too (among which half a million homeless kids of her age or younger). She doesn't even really need to travell a long way to see it.

I agree with you 10 million % that a bad Dad is worse. There's a saying, "A boy can be a Dad. It takes a man to be a Father". Just because (or IF) the family does not have a Dad does not mean the mother can't find a father figure for her daughter. She can use her own father, uncle, brothers, church priest, or male friends the mother's age. Have a family outing, or group outing, with the 14-15 year old daughter interacting with her grandfather/ uncles, etc... It can be any kind of trip, lasting from 1 day, a few hours, to a week, or whatever.
Your 2nd remark, gave me an idea. The mother can have the spoiled daughter volunteer at a number of homeless shelters. Especially at a shelter that specializes in homeless kids. Or volunteer at an office that deals with placing foster kids, etc.... Something like this litterally could change that spoiled girl's llife for the better, and break the cycle of brattyness.
