The superior mind will find itself equally at odds with the evils of society, and with the projects that are offered to relieve them. The wise skeptic is a bad citizen; no conservative; he see the selfishness of property, and the drowsiness of institutions. But neither is he fit to work with any democratic party that ever was constituted; for parties wish every one committed, and he penetrates the popular patriotism.

A government official is using a loop hole to get out of something he doesn't want to do, this has to be the greatest wrongdoing by the white house ever!
If only i could find a troll with a tin foil hat. =(

It's not a loophole. The law is specific. He's directly flouting the law. AND he's trying to shut down the investigating agency.
Oh well if a random democrat points out something that Cheney does then it MUST be horrible!! Look...every office of every presidency has been criticized for one thing or another. Until you prove to me that they broke a law, or did something unethical that is without great precident (meaning other presidents have done the same thing) in Washington DC, then I don't care.
Article II
Section 1 - The Executive Branch
"The executive Power shall be vested with the President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the term of for years, and together with the Vice President chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:"
See? The Vice President is part of the executive branch. Political science/Constitution 101. Class dismissed.
Your entire argument consisted of an Ad hominem. The rest of your post basically said you don't care what the politicians do even if it's unethical or breaks the law....as long as some other president did it too. What if the earlier president was an evil democrat...would a Repub be allowed to copy them? That's what it sounded like to me when you said that. It seemed you said if a Dem can do it then so can a Repub. I don't think Repubs should lower themselves. I think Dems can do bad things, so I don't want Repubs copying them and becoming the evil that Dems are. I don't think I follow your logic....if there is any.
Ignorance is bliss Patriotism....right Draenor?
Once again you have managed to completely miss the whole point...congratulations to you.
Quoting a part of the constitution that has nothing whatsoever to do with the point that I was making does nothing for your argument. Debate 101 class dismissed.
Actually it does. Whether the Vice President is part of the executive branch or not is a crucial part of this situation.
I don't care if he's a dem or a republican...the fact is that there is a lot of rule bending in Washington, it happens ALL THE TIME.
So? I don't see how this changes anything.
And the OP has done nothing to show that he has done anything illegal or without precident. The only reason this was posted was because it's Cheney, end of story.
Cheney is refusing to comply with a executive order and he has not cooperated since 2003. He says he is exempt based on his role in the government, but it's simply not true if you look at the Constitution.
You have a way of trying to sound smart that few others even attempt, fortunately, I don't need to try and put some cute little crossed out word about people like you and act as though I've won some great battle. You're such a FREE THINKER Alex, I hope some day I can understand things on the level that you do, because clearly you have everything figured out and have come to all of the most logical conclusions...apparently most of those conclusions involve loving everything that Ron Paul and Thomas Jefferson have ever said or done and blind adherance to a document written more than 200 years ago in a completely different political climate.
Blind adherence to the Constitution? I actually read and researched it. Are you trying to insult the Constitution because of it's age of 200 years? Tell me how exactly the Constitution can't benefit us in this day. I've heard this argument many times and nobody cares to elaborate on it....my guess is because they don't know. Care to explain why you blindly adhere to documents from 5000 years ago in a completely different psycological environment (people were more gullible)?
If you don't want the government to follow the 200 year old document then where does that leave us? How are we protected from being ruled based soley on the opinions of our leaders?
You will be BEGGING and CRYING for the Constitution if Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama (or both if they are a ticket) gets into office. Say hello to socialism, open borders, and say bye bye to any little bit of the second amendment we may have left...oh wait that's just a 200 year old document. If you can't see the massive support that the Dems are getting then you are blind. Anybody who is for the war wil not get in.
/sigh...point missed again...either you intentionally do this or you just like to argue with yourself...I'm gonna go ahead and block you. Nothing you ever post is worthwhile or poignant, it's mostly just irrelevent junk aimed at trying to make yourself look smart.
i.e. "I don't want to acknowledge that you made salients points to counter my fuzzy logic so I'm going to pretend that you missed the point all together and have you blocked" Way to show him Draenor!! Do you have me blocked too? HUH?? HUH?? That Jedi mind trick of trying to cloud the facts presented or plant the seeds of doubt doesn't work anymore bubba. Give it up!! People are on to it now!
