Alot of people are sick of WoW and most people play it to just have something to do. honestly there isnt many good mmos out right now and WoW is the best. So once War comes out it is going to be something a lot of WoW fans can relate to. I myself am bored to tears with WoW and cant wait for WAR to come. So I assume most of WoW will leave and atleast try WAR, but for WoW to die I doubt it.
You said your opinion too fast . You dont know what will happen too WoW maybe players will leave it for its grind type . Maybe released games will have something special that all players will come and play it . You can say your opinion when the games will be released ( about 5-9 months ) , than we will see , who will have the most players .

Sorry to hijack your thread but Warhammer will not be out till 2008. But to answer your question it is the most likely game to cut into WoW's market share some. Wow Will hang in there like Everquest for a long time to come.

WAR will end up like WoW sooner or later, that I am sure of.
I don't play a big amount of MMORPG's at this point in time only because I do not yet have my amazing computer but I do itend to play WAR when it is available on the market, so correct me if I'm wrong here but...This really bothers me when people say WAR is bringing nothing new to the table. Public Quests. (and thats just one of the many) I also have a problem that one of you said that WAR is to realistic? Whats that? Your playing as an Orc, along with using magic how much more unrealistic can you get? You don't like fighting in wars thats your whole problem with realism in games...So then that means You Don't like RTS games you shouldn't like games with humans in it either. Call of Duty is out of the picture then Every game at some point has somewhat of an amount of War in it. Without that it just wouldn't be lame, I mean you have to fight someone/something don't you?
I for one,,, DO NOT want a realistic video game... I dont think they should be.. we all ready have enough idiots that think cause they were the guild leader of the top guild on such and such server of some game somehow means something in real life.
Games should be fictional, dragons magic, and fantastical, they should NOT have politics religion or life like graphics.

Ok, Before I ever played world of warcraft, I kept hearing, this game is gay, this game sucks, you are gay, ect, about wow, but then i saw a tv ad for world of warcraft, and gave it a try, and I found out its a good game.

Final fantasy XI, EVE Online, Neocron 2, RF Online, Lineage 2, Ever Quest, Most Sony Games, T4C, ect.
I can say this much, That sony's service sucks, because what about when they come out with an everquest 3, Everyones gonna go there, Im gonna loose my character, besidest that I cant run it in max graphics, because of their design, however My PC should be able to, without any problem.
RF Online was great at first, But then it got to the point where theres no real ecnomics, AH is broken, anyone below level 40 has to have gear crafted, and its a grind fest, really broing.
EVE Online is great, but they simply make your skills too long to train, its really only about pvp after all in the end of this game, every game is, but eve online is really like this from the begining, but real flaw is skill training.
Neocron 2 was a great game, till last patch I quit their service, they completely changed the game from they way I knew it, + Droners are bugged, they call the game balanced, I say it isnt, but the real reason, you loose armor and items in pvp, can get annoying for repairs, and replacements at 4 am when no ones on or something.
Final Fantasy games are great, but XI online was great at first, but then they made it suck, you cant get a party for over 6 hours your sitting there waiting for one, or to get the right people to get a group, GIL Sellers + if thats not enough, you cant even kill a lizard solo and get 50 XP + from it, its really annoying, Beast Master, I tihnk Beast Masters are Gay, so I dont play them, I dont like Beast Master Game Play.
Lineage 2, They nerfed my account, and screwed up my class, as well as everyone elses, I sepnt at least 6 months + working on my character, and lost it all, so I quit them, wanted to retry their service, but I hear there is a lineage 3, not going to take the chance of this happening again with them, because they wont offer free character transfer + major flaw is in dwarfs are only crafters, and ecnomic unbalance.
T4C I loved it it was like diablo, till the gaming services started sucking, Im part of the reason this game is dead now, but its because they wouldn't fix their game, and stop the people who were abusing exploits, but its really sad, I miss this old 16 Bit graphiched game, it was great in the days, but they wont fix it to run good on xp, and Vista ):.

Downside, They dont allow foul language on public chat, If I owned a gaming company ID allow any language, except sexual content on main chat, spamming, and say if you dont like the person's who are swearing, please use your ignore list, if this person repediately stalks you, call a gm, but only in that case.
Also Lots of bad guilds on this game, and little kids, and idiots that dont know how to work together, help each other out, ect., but every game has this problem
P.S Waiting for MANA in some games sucks, like Final Fantasy XI, Lineage 2, and FREE MMORPG called Last Chaos, Otherwise they are good.
Also Note This THERE ARE SOME GOOD FREE MMORPGS, However they use (ITEM MAIL) Which gives unfair advantages for those who pay, so they arent really free, because if you want to be matched in pvp you have to buy packages, and ect., which in time is a ripoff, becuase their package only works on 1 character of your account and costs about $30-$40 points with 1 package, and is a ripoff, because if you want to play 2 characters on your account, its only on one of them for bonus, + You cant transfer items, + some items only last 30 days, this is a ripoff, I know they need donations, but if its not going to be a bit better than this, dont donate, or play their service, ID rather subscribe to a game for $20 a month than do their donaotr thing, and have equal advantage over other players.
Once again this realism of games just hits me hard, I do not understand how more unrealistic a game can become, I mean you have an Orc that shoots magic, your fighting monsters that only live in fairy tail books, on one of the public quests there is a giant that you need to help by getting the squigs to stop chasing him and get him 20 barrels of beer. How more unrealistic can you get? The graphics?
And the younger people that everyone always complains about has just as much of a right as any of us do, just because they are younger and cannot comprehend the concept of clicking your left mouse button to kill the monster in front of you doesn't mean that they shouldn't play. Remember you were young once as well...

WoW will keep the PvE'rs, Warhammer will get the mainstream PvP noobs and Aion will take the good PvPers who enjoy real PvP.

uhhh yea PvP in WoW is horrible for one
in WoW you dont get levels by grinding as questing is more efficient, so group solo doesn't matter in that game
WoW's default interface sucks so of course they let you use others (or if you have a concept of GUI design you can do it for any MMO)
how long have you been playing WoW, ive seen millions of nerfs and buffs since beta, so again thats not a "unique" point
easy to get money = money has no value, ie. Diablo
and above all, Aion will be the numeral uno game once it hits shelves
