okay we got one reply in paragus1 blog can we please get some more hardcores over there to share ideas? I'm telling you these threads will be overrun with LOTRO players and PVE types that have no clue about hardcore PVP servers. its like talking to a little 1yr old trying to explain why he cant get milk anymore at 2am in the morning. they want what they want lol
Im a huge fan of PvP. But here is the problem: this so called huge fan base that has been largely ignored as some would claim, doesnt exists in the numbers the forums would indicate. It has not ever been successful to market to these people. There have been quite a few hardcore servers in many games over the years and I can honestly say I cannot think of any that have thrived.
Thats the problem. The Harcore players have proven over time to be unreleable customers. They havent supported past hardcore games/servers yet they always complain nobody markets to them. I cannot think of 1 single hardcore server , in any game ive played over the past 11 years, that has suceeded. In fact, most failed miserably and players tended to treat the servers as a nice place to check out once or twice, and never come back. Say whatever you want about "how many replies in favor" this thread has generated. The fact is these replies have not translated into $ for gaming companies who have gone on a limb in order to please this very vocal minority.
