lol, everytime i tried EQ on my friends account id end up runnin around for 10 minutes, getting on a boat then jumping around and climbing things cause i was bored then inevitably falling off and drowning. musta done it about 5 times. maybe thats why i never started my own acct
So many memorable moments for me...one of the best, was getting my last piece of armor from the plane of hate in EQ1. other mentionables are dying laughing as my friend fell off the boat in EQ1 (different guy than a previous poster, but funny non-the-less), my first slaying of a dragon (Lady Vox), getting drunk and dancing around naked in Lake Rath with a friend, joining my first guild (Noble Gaurdians on Xegony server)...the list could go on.
Another one I have to mention is walking in the Mos Eisley cantina for the first time . Being a life-long Star Wars fan up to that point, it was a fantasy come true (so to speak) for me.
Also my gay marriage in SWG, something RL still hasnt caught up with yet. ^^()
Not bashing, but just curious. Why did you have to label it your "gay marriage" and not just your marriage?
Well, I am not allowed to marry a man here, so it was special to me to be able there. We were both gay males in RL who played gay chars. (I mean, most straights play straight chars as well, so.) It was special as marriage, but in this it was especially special for us.
Did anyone play Daoc when the Classic servers first came out, and theres was 3000 level 1-5's running around lol. never had an easier time finding a group. It was fun to watch the highest level person and see what level they got to each day.
2. In WoW, my guild raids on horde towns, especially when our rival horde guild (both pirate themed) would show up. True sense of pride being alliance
Bring on Diablo 3!
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting "Holy Shit...WHAT A RIDE!!"
Neocron, first week I played, a few friends had already been around for quite a while and as the coward I was I had never left the city. So they took me out to Military Base for some cyclop hunting. Now, never having been outside Neocron I got confused when my two friends suddenly stopped and told me to stay very very still and not touch a button. They then started firing at something, and I turn around, just to see.. nothing.. So I look up and realize what they're shooting at, just as the bloody thing lands on me, a big ass Hover Bomber.. That was truly memorable as I hadn't really experienced 'big' mobs in any MMO before and this thing was HUGE... And landed on me.......
Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DF, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW... It all sucked.
Back then I was in the "aggi cellar" with my melee combat tank.
I simply wanted to make some money but some guys thought they had to kill me down there.
One of them was a ppu monk which gave them the clear advantage.
That is until I casted my simple deflector shield, which blocked his own, on him and cut him down with my Paw of Bear. Then I drew my Devil´s Grace and slew the rest of them, as well.
The good old times ... (Yeah, I really do think that slaying a capped ppu is memorable!)
For me, it would have to be Planetside. The first time I ever assaulted a base, I was running to it on foot. Through my speakers (only 2.1 at the time), I heard all these explosions and rifles firing nearby. I crested the hill only to see about 300 people duking it out in an area smaller than most 32 on 32 multiplayer fps maps.
Tracer rounds were flying everywhere, tanks were cresting the hill, armored MAX units firing on the vehicles form a distance, planes swooped in rocket strafing runs overhead, and I couldn't hear anything on TS over the sound of the base's defensive turrets (all manned), which never stopped firing.
Imagine the biggest multiplayer fps fight you've ever seen, and then multiply it by about 7. Shit, I would have crapped my pants for just times 2. But dude... 7.
*sigh* good times
MMO games played or tested: EQ, DAoC, Archlord, Auto Assault, CoH, CoV, EQ2, EVE, Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, Linneage II, LOTRO, MxO, Planetside, SWG, Sword of the New World, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard, WWIIOL, WOW, Age of Conan
The first time I logged into SWG and there was a line up outside my "Archs and Crafts" Store. I used to get the new paintings every 2 weeks and make a ton of them. This week was a particular cool picture and everyone was waiting for me to put them on the vendor.

My most memorable moment in an mmo happened while I was playing the Gundam mmorpg. Anyway my clan had organized a huge raid with several Japanese clans on the federation space station, but someone warned the feds about this raid and about 500-1000 GMs(a type of mobile suit) and gundams were waiting for us. The battle lasted for around 5 hours and I lost about 8 rick doms in the process, but that remains the most fun I have ever had, even if we did get smashed by a Gm rush in the end.
