    I got the game downloaded/installed/patched.
Sadly, the final step, registering an account, is a problem.
On the Cubizone site, I get to the last page, and when i accept the EULA and click register I get:
"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator."
Anyone else have this problem?  I have not found any reference to it on any FAQ.

yeah, I'm getting the same problem

Right now, looks like the Cubizone servers are getting heavy traffic. Give it some time and then try again. I didn't have any problems, but alot of people are finding out about this game now. You can check the forums that I linked with the download info to see what the progress is.

When is the actual english version releasing that we can play?

  • gingus418gingus418 Member Posts: 128

It is going to open beta the 18th. The phillipines version should be available to US players...speaking of which, do I really need a passport number to register to play the chinese/malaysian version? And what is an IC number anyways?

just enter 123456789 thats what I did

Got registered just fine, but the torrent only has 2 people leeching and no seeders... QQ

  • gingus418gingus418 Member Posts: 128

Well, the registration didn't work...I don't know why, but it keeps telling me to enter the passport no. , even when I do.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it to work. I typed in 987654321 instead =)

Edit: Open beta for PH version will be IP locked as well. We will have to continue using the Chinese version with patch until the Malaysian version is released for beta, this month.

     Whoah nilly, there buckaroos!

Yes, this MMO is free and this MMO is Chinese.  Not in the USofA yet.

Now, before you jump outta your socks.  Be aware that you actually have to pay for items, (i.e. weapons and armor of decent quality), in real time money.  NO BUCKS..NO Bang! Bang!

"Ah, so, yessss we gots plenty good weapon for you today...We run special just for you...Twenty dollah you get plenty good sword..."

LOL, just be fair warned ladies and gentlemen...always gunna be a "catch" somewhere...

This seems to be the most common Chinese MMORPG business model.  First, the company creates the game and provides the download and basic experience for free.  Next, users log on and realize that every decent item costs real money.  This is in contrast to the american model which requires a fee to play, but allows access to all of the items via questing and dungeon crawls.  I

I am in favor of the American model because it makes me feel like I can get more than my month's fee out of the game. In the Chinese model no one really has to put effort into playing.  Users can purchase even the most sought after weapons for real money.  Yuck.

This game looks promising other than that aspect.  Sadly for me, I cannot get over this one flaw.

First of all, do you play? Yes the version we are playing right now is the Chinese version with an english patch thrown in. However, the english release will be Malaysian, handled by Levelup Communications, instead of Levelup Games.

Secondly, all I've heard about is different costumes and wings (cosmetic items). So,show us here any item in the shop which ADDS an unfair advantage over other players. Surely you can do that, can't you?

Also, from my understanding, the best armor is crafted, so I don't see how you get the best from the shop. I'm sure you can shows all this, though.

I'll be waiting for your answer.

Edit: By the way, your attempt to be funny with the "engrish" bit fails. Next time, your post will be reported.

    Can someone tell me...

    1) Does this game have PvP?

    2) How is it different from other grinds? I'm serious, tell me.

    3) Graphics... Youtube is a horrible way to get a fell for them. Any links to "good" trailers?

1.) yes, duels as wll as RvR. There's also an arena, which I haven't tried yet, so I don't know all the mechanics behind it yet. Basically just playing this version to learn the lay of the land and gameplay until the Malaysian/English client is released later this month.

2.) You can level entirely through questing. There are also four areas of crafting to level up, which you can do fairly easily from things mobs drop while questing/ exploring. You can craft every item that vendors carry, but you crafted items will get bonuses from your skill. You can then also upgrade them with stones, etc. after you craft them.

3.) Although we are blocked from using the PH version, their videos will suffice: http://perfectworld.levelupgames.ph/community_downloads.html#videos

If you wouldn't assume so much but would actually take a descent look when a new asian mmo comes out. Then you would have noticed that stuff that you can buy in those shops are often only cosmetic (like better looking armor). They are still a big grind most of the time but the cash shop aren't as bad as many people think.

Also, would it be so bad if you could buy all the stuff they offer each month for less then 10 dollar?

    OT:

I was going to try swords of the new world last week until I found this on there webpage:

If you choose to play Sword of the New World free to play we at K2 are excited to offer you the ability to play with some restrictions.

    These restrictions are as follows:

    • Level 20 Cap: You will not be able to progress your character or family beyond level 20, once you reach level 20 you will stop collecting experience for quests and kills.
    • No Trading: You will not be able to trade items from or to your character or family.
    • No Customer Support: You will not be able to receive customer support for any concerns you have with your play experience.

    Character Customization

" The game allows players to customize character features from head to toe. Every detail of the human body: hair style and color, facial features such as distance of the eyes, shape of the brows, body shape, skin color, torso size, width of limbs, etc., can be customized using a unique slider system that offers full control to the user. Using this customization system makes each character unique."
    Personalized Clothing

"With this feature, one can truly express him/herself through his/her in-game character. Players have more options when it comes to what their character wears. They can even design their own in-game clothes."
    Territorial Battles

"The game divides the whole terrain into smaller domains and has a built-in territorial battle system where clans and factions can build, arm and fortify a city or multiple establishments at the same time. Fortify the captured city with catapults and armaments to effectively guard your location against opposing attackers who are keen on expanding their territory. Each character and class in Perfect World has the special ability and peripherals to fly, trek, and swim in different terrains. Inherent attributes, special equipments, summons or even mountable animals make it possible for characters to not only fly, trek, and swim but also to duel and clash on any of the terrain. Perfect World created a world with flying monsters and floating cities and ruins, all waiting to be explored."

    Riding Pet System

"Pets are not just companions in Perfect World. Players can train their pets, mount them and use them as a means of transportation."
    Partner Ride Systems

"Mounts can accommodate up to two players at the same time, enabling you assist a fallen comrade and bring him to safety during a battle, or take a nice stroll in the woods or fields with your in-game loved one."
    Massive Quest/Mission System

"The game itself has more than 5,000 quests waiting to be discovered and completed. Quests can be race- and class-specific. Instance quests are available for players who would like to make their own adventures."
    Huge Continuous Terrain

"The entire game world is within one large map that requires no loading or no changing of maps so players can move around without waiting for scenes to change."
    Day, Night and Weather Shifting

"The game shifts from night to day and sunny to rainy season on a regular cycle, changing the view of each area to suit the time. This “real world” effect will immerse the players more effectively in the game."
    16:9 Widescreen Mode

"Allows players to play in widescreen mode to simulate a movie-type experience."

    Flight and Underwater Movement

"You have to reach Level 30 to experience the fun of flying unless you've chosen Wingkind as your race. Wingkind characters can fly by default.
When you reach Lv 30, you will be able to take the Flying quest which will reward you with the flying device appropriate to your race. You can also buy an appropriate flying item in the Item Mall. (However, 30 is still the minimum level required to equip Flying devices)
There are many kinds of flying devices, all with different properties. Take time to choose one that best suits our needs."

These are just some of the highlights that I chose to show you. Even better though, is the fact that the game will be going to OB on the 18th.

That's alright. Since it's K2 running SotNW, players won't be getting customer support AFTER they pay, either.

Okay, if all goes well, the official PW-MY malaysian server and client will be ready this week. Hopefully, they'll have the website up by Monday and the client soon after. I'll post an update if I hear more.

Yeah, but item shops always lead to a poorley developed game with loads of bugs, bad customer support, and i associate them all with korean grind mmos.

Untill one isnt a grind or like any of the above, i will still stay far away from any game that is free and compensates for this by having a item shop no matter what it sells.

Its just not worth the risk and no company has ever given any reason to doubt that.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by strictly cosmetic if you can buy better looking armor.  Is this simply a pay option to make your current armor look better?  I could understand that, but most of the time the item shops sell items which take the fun out of questing and dungeons.  Perhaps you know more about these shops, but I am discouraged when others can simply buy items I would have to work for with real money.

Also, would it be so bad if you could buy all the stuff they offer each month for less then 10 dollar?

I would never want to buy items in game.  I enjoy the process of obtaining the items via quests and dungeons.

The bottom line is that pay-for item shops take away from my game experience.  If this practice was only on some servers I would play, but it is a primary feature.

Perhaps if you explain the shops a bit better I would understand.  If they sell even one item that is a weapon or armor I am discouraged.  That goes against the way I enjoy playing games.

All I can say is give it a try. So far, one world with NO zones/chunks/. No problem finding quest to do, mobs to kill, or things to craft. I haven't run into any sort of bug yet, but maybe that's just me. Picture a free WoW, but better. This game is VERY polished, believe me I would be one of the first on these forums to tell you if it wasn't.

    1) Yes

    2) This grind includes built in malware, so now you can help spam the universe.

    3) There are no "good" trailers because the graphics are terrible.

Sometimes I am embarrassed to be Asian; this game is one of those times.

Sure they could be lying, but if everyone said the sky was blue, and 1 person said it was green, would you believe that one person or the masses :)
