What's been said by some others in this thread I really think is true. What's important in customization is being able to have many different options that are actually visible by other characters. No one is going be able to see how slanted your eyes are or how long your nose is. That's just dumb imo.
This is ridiculous. Guys admit it... CoH does have better customization. That being said I just prefer PW customization. Why? Because in CoH I pretty much have to be a guy wearing tights. IMO
Hrmm where to start with this one... I know d/l the trial or just look at screen shots. There are TONS Of non tight looks.

I did play the trial. I personally hated CoH. it's just... stupid to me.. And no... Not a whole lot a non tight looks. Look at the screen shots above. Each of that persons characters pants wrap around his crotch. This is of course my opinion. You can believe what you want. I won't try and stop you.
Although The char gen is nice, the fact that your appearance in Perfect World is determined by what you wear is the reason that COH Would be a better Character Customizer.
I took it upon myself to duplicate the woman you had. I think CoH came very close. I had her breast at max, waist at min and overall appearance thin.
Now the Tiger was a bit harder. Since CoH doesn't have a Bengle Tiger head, I got as close as I could. I present the CoH tiger. (There was a tiger face in standard heads, but the hair just didn't look right)
BTW, you can also see the scaling that CoH uses on the left side.
From what I see that Perfect World could do seemed on par with what SWG did. Great customization, but after a bit, everyone looks the same. Eve Online has a great character customization for the face also.
BTW, this is not ment to bash, but to show that CoH can replicate at level one what a perfect world character would have to hunt for.
your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't
I actually started playing the Malaysian (sp?) version of it. Since someone released a patch using the Philliphines version (which is in english) to patch the Malaysian version so that's it is in full english. Since I was off work today I spent the better part of today playing it. Getting a feel for it again, and managed to work my way from 1 to 22. Perfect World does have alot of things going for it, there are also alot of things in/about it. That I do not like, but they are just personal preferences. I have a very craptastic system, and it runs pretty damn well on it, with most options turned down to mid or mid-high.
I like the character customization, the no height toggle doesn't really bother me. The one thing that bothers me more then anything else in game, is the models. Lower half fine, upper half fine, the hands are where it comes to a screeching halt for me. The fingers on the hands aren't articulated, they are clustered like old style EQ hands. This is one thing that just really bothers me in any MMO I play. Not so great looking world, I can live with. Sort of heavy on the grind, I can live with. If you are going to do good models though, go all the damn way with it. Articulate those damn fingers they should not look like flippers on a fish. Each one should be at the very least it's own texture. Even if they aren't capable of independant movement. This is something SquareSoft got right with FFXI, just take an Elvaan or Human make him a bard and have him play something using a flute or harp.
Floating Cities, Land Mounts, Flying Mounts, Dungeons, Weapons, Armors, Quest, and alot of other stuff. Perfect World definately has alot to see and do. Not to mention it feeds my need for PvP. Player versus Player, Guild versus Guild, Territory Controlling, and they are prepping to release a patch later that will add Player created Cities, On Land and in the Air. (Yes Players will be able to have floating Cities.) That can be invaded by monsters and people alike from what i'm told.
Only 3 races, but the races are very different from each other which is good. I can see why they did it at this point. They make a good solid foundation, and with the map as big as it is, and with room for further expansions. I've no doubt they'll be adding more races eventually.
Edit: Oh and this is for Bladin
CoH is just undisputed atm for customization
-In your opinion.
Fraid not, it's a fact, if i call a orc a orc, yet you say it's just my opinion, it's really a zombie. It doesn't change the fact of the situation it still is a orc
I don't know where you come from, but saying CoH is the undisputed atm for customization is an OPINION. Just because you feel it's true, doesn't make it a fact.
In War - Victory. In Peace - Vigilance. In Death - Sacrifice.

Now I have a question for the people playing this game. Where can I find cotton threads for crafting?
EDIT:
I found them. Ghost Deserters.
I'm a CoH fan

Amazing Sanctus_Mors, thanks for comparisons.
Like I said, in my opinion, PW does face customization better, but CoH does body customization a lot better.
