Blizzard a very intelligent company. I like how they handle new classes

So if they made the deathknight a level 1 class every one would play a DK especcially on new servers now if thats the case no other classes would be played So they make it that you must level your original character from 1-80 before you can play a deathknight. Meaning if there are alot of deathknights on and a raid is happening you can just swap back and forth between characters and the DK starts at 68. I love this idea and i love heroe classes, cant wait for far-seer to be announced or blademaster.

by the time they get to blade masters the level cap will be 140....

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

Other hero classes are being patched in not by xpacs.

    Heart is in the cards.

although not having death knight start at lvl 1 does not give low level players or new players any incentive to get it.

They can just "get off" their lazy behinds and do what everybody else did; using the delicious hero-class at the end of the tunnel as the carrot on a stick.

    O'rly.

Blizzard is the best but I'm not so sure about the level increases (which i dont think has much to do with classes) but i think 80 or even 90 is high enough for me and im sure some people would agree. and the hero classes are going to AMAZING, not to mention the desructible building, new proff, and new dances

Wow a expansion that has no new races and only 1 new class which isn't playable untill level 68 anyway, so effectively they only have to make 12 levels worth of class abilities. Should take them maybe a month or 2 to actually program and then a year + to test. Guess for WoW Less is actually more. Sad part is people will actually buy this expansion for 40-50 dollers  even if it does show Blizzard is doing as little as possible to keep their subscribers.

Sorry to sound like a hater but looks very much to me like Blizzards just trying to keep the status quo, and not rock the boat much while milking their cash cow dry.

Why make a expansion when this can be patched in?

Oh right! Blizzard is after money.

Blizzard reminds me of the Underpants Gnomes in South Park.

Step 1: New expansion with as little content as possible.

    Step 2 : ???

    Step 3: Profit.

Unfortunately, for some reason their plan is working

Blizzard is going to make 15 dollars less a month, for each person they piss off.

c'mon now...the game is a streamlined version of the games(mmorpg's) previously out..and is following the the way eq1,uo and daoc did their business(known as a business plan or model). they are only following what works....expect it.

they will prolly have an  Xpak each year for 2-3 more years..including new class/races from Ye olden lore and come full circle as other mmorpgs have done in the past. whats wrong with dat!!!!!?( i'll admit...i hope the lvl increase and tiers will NOT become the norm on future Xpaks...but who knows.)

one good thing about it though...if they, "blizzard", is taking the steps in future xpaks to include e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g known in the WoW world of old...then why not!....patience my friend..for there will be much more arse to kick!

its business...expect this from every game that comes out.

if they gave you everything in one shot...what good would that be for blizzard as a company.

    sheesh.

    gimme gimme gimme! ...mheh.

dont they have some time yet before they even add to it, or finish it?

(ps- /giggle at paulscot comment.....it may yeild truth)

i still dont see how deathknights will work

from the trailer it sounded as though they were going to be in leauge with arthas

but maybe thats just me, that would be hard to do, but it just doenst really make sence to have "good" death knights

TECHNICALLY, it does. Arthas turned into a Deathknight whilst fighting the Lich King, although it's a question of what the heck was going on there. >.>

Also, Deathknights have been around since WCII, but they were made by enfusing orc warlock's souls into the bodies of dead human heroes.

So, there might be another way of making someone into a deathknight. *shrugs*

I wonder if they are adding a completely new faction.  If you follow the story the alliance and horde were both the good guys and the lich king was the bad guy.  I would guess since alliance and horde aren't really considered to be good or evil overall then it's okay to have death knights, but perhaps death knights will only be for the new faction and they will add others for alliance and horde.

Idea stolen directly with how City of Heroes handle the EPIC AT, the PeaceBringer and the Warshade.

It is good to stole ideas, especially from a game like CoH.

In 10 years, WoW will feels, tastes and play a lot more like CoH is ahead, design-wise.

Thanks for the video.  It sounds interesting, but if they only introduce the Death Knight as a hero class in the beginning then everyone is going to play Death Knight I would think.  I haven't played WoW in a few months, but I may try it out again.  I might wait for other hero classes to be introduced first though.

As a hunter I have no interest in a deathknight, ill get 1 ofc to try out, but my main will always be hunter.

I agree, Blizzard lack of innovation will kill the game. CoH is much better title and A lot more innovated .

As I mentioned in another post.

Blizzard is owned 100% by vivendi. Vivendi is in financial trouble, as Blizzard is the only thing they have worth mentioning.  They will milk this cow as much as they can.

Ok I just want to make note of one thing that keeps bothering me and that is the constant bashing of levels being raised. 1st by raising levels it gives you more to do than just grind rep or raid dungeons and pvp,it gives more to do in the game and that is fine by me as long as the quests have a good storyline.2nd I play mmo games to be there a long long time not just to max out get myself uber and then quit because after ive accomlished this I then having nothing else to do but pwn people. We need to realize that leveling is supposed to be fun thing to do that brings a sense of accomplishment not a duty or job like experience. The only thing blizzard does in wow that I have never been to keen on is all the reputation stuff they seem to keep adding but I can live with it and there is a small percentage of players who do like it. Anyway you look at it there is no way a mmo company can satisfy its entire player base so bashing a game is really unconstructive. When I play a agame and it gets to the point I do not like it or I am bored with it I used to do alot of bashing and complaining until I realized it was stupid and a pointless waste of time. WoW is still a very good mmo for alot of gamers ,maybe not so much for the gamers on this website but tell me how many games out there do most of the posters here do not bash, and are the games they do approve of,are they doing as well as wow? Populationwise?

poor simple mmo player. There more things you can do then just raise levels in an mmo. Everything doesnt need to be about grinding mobs to level for new abilitys and content.

LOL blizzards lack of innovation is what has made it a success. everything they have done has been a rip off of another game but it seems to work for them.

this does seem kind of lame though, why only have 1 hero class? there should be a hero class for each primary class and it should still follow the same theme as the primary class.

for example, a hunter should have something like a ranger hero class. shaman should have a witch doctor, priest = cleric, warlock = necro....shit like that.

this whole concept of one hero class does seem rather lame IMO

  • Flyte27Flyte27 Member RarePosts: 4,574

They said they were going to add more hero classes in the youtube video posted, but they believe it will be a mess to fix any problems if they release them all together.
