So what's everyone's favorite looking race so far?

I think now we've seen them all in game and i thought i'd go with a Goblin Squig herder before but after seeing The Empire i've changed my mind. They have the nicest looking cities out of them all to me and Mythic have done a nicer job wih them than the other races i've seen IMO. Problem is all The empire classes look the most boring to me 
But i love the dogs running around in the cities so it's a hard choice lol...
I do however think The Order till outnumber the Destruction because of how it always goes.

As for population balance, I too think Order will have greater numbers than Destruction, especially after seeing the cool factor of the High Elves and their "prettiness." Dark Elves are nice, too, but I do not think they will have quite the same appeal, though it should be close. I think Witch Elves will get a lot of horny man players, at least.
I always tend toward the side of good, which in this case is best reflected in a typical fashion by Order, and I hate being short (Dwarfs are cool, but too short!), and I hate being too much of a prettyboy (High Elves are too elitist), so I will likely be going with the Empire. Chances are I will be a Knight of the Blazing Sun, since I enjoy warrior-type classes and I feel it will be very underplayed. Everyone else is salivating for the Witch Hunters and their fancy hats and Warrior Priests.

I agree with you about humans in MMORPGs being a bit on the dull side. The thing I'm loving about what I've seen from WAR so far is that even the races I sterotypically avoid (humans and elves for example) look appealing in this game. And each of the race's homelands looks just beautiful so I'll probably be trying every race on for size until I find the class that most suits my play style.
I tend to play healers or thieves/rogues over casters and warriors, and so far the classes seem most appealing to me are the Dwarf Runepriest, the Goblin Shaman, the Empire Witch Hunter, and the (Dark) Witch Elf. Just this morning, I was reading up on the Dwarf engineer and this looks like it might be a really fun class too.
If this game ends up being half as good as it seems it might be and I have the time to play as much as I'd like to, I'll probably settle in with one main character from each realm. Needless to say, I'm chomping at the bit for this title to be released.
Favorite looking race? Gotta say Greenskins. They really hit the nail on the head with that whole faction.
Empire
Normally human = boring but I really like the Empire and they did a great job on bringing them to life in the game.
I actually like all of the races which is a first for any MMO I have played.
Hard to say. I tend to play the optimum race for the class I chose to play...(there usually is one in most games).... the looks of the character don't concern me.... just the stats...

I want to say Greenskins but both the Dark Elves and Elves both look pretty awesome. Definetly the coolest looking elves I've seen in a fantasy game so far. Sworddancer looks sweet, and the DE Black Guard? Massive halberds? That's just sweet. 2h wielding tanks that can mop the floor with their enemies blood? Sign me up!
Chaos Chosen and Goblin Shaman...so far.
I first was quite convinced about me going with one of the dwarven classes.
Destruction didn't really appeal to me and can't say that Empire or High Elf did the job either.
But after seeing the images and the explanation about the Dark Elf Black Guard, I'm going in that direction now.
Their armor looks insane and as one of the above posters mentioned --> Tanks with 2handed weapons smashing opponents, sign me in !
I'm conflicted....I just can't decide.

I havent looked at the dark elf classes yet (are they on the warhammer website yet?) but from what i have seen so far i think im either going for the orc choppa, which looks crazy, or a chaos chosen or maurader. i think the mutating ability for mauraders is badasshttp://images.mmorpg.com/images/emoticons/emt_bow.gif

High elf swordmaster for me, first they look amazing, second, i had a high elf army and third, i cant wait to start slaughtering all the Drizzzzt, Drizzit, Drizzt1341 etc etc etc annoying ppl who cant even find a name for themselves

Kill all the Drizzzzt named characters? If I see any Dark Elf brothers or sisters named that, I wouldn't blame ya.
It was Chaos until those Dark Elves showed up.
Pointy-eared bastards. They're trying to lure me from starting my first alt as a Warrior Priest!
It is easier for me to say what I will not play.
Some races I exclude immediately based on personal preferences. No Dwarves, no Greenskins. Those are out so I can cut down my list right off the bat.
That leaves High Elves, Dark Elves, Empire and Chaos. Plenty to choose from there.
Evil faction or Good? Do not care at all. Once I have chosen my favored races -- whichever they might be -- then I move on to testing the Classes.
The combination of best-liked Races and best-liked Classes will form the basis for the characters I choose to make.
Oftentimes I pass on the pure defensive tank classes and opt for the higher-DPS light melee fighters. In that category, there are again some good choices. As for the caster classes, I have no real idea. Only real gameplay experience can influence my final decisions.
And we have yet to see the final two classes of the High Elves and Dark Elves.
One way or the other, there seems to be good archetypal classes ... one or more of which should provide plenty of satisfaction.

Empire, though, is the choice for me, they are just as awesome - Knight of the Blazing sun for me

I was hardcore Black Orc....but then came the Black Guard. It's gonna be one of the two, I'm sure of it!
The Dark elves was going to make or break this game for me, and was impressed by them. So Dark Elves, Greenskins, and Chaos as most, second and third favorites. No interest in the Order races at all.
Chaos for me, after all, being the leader of the first single-race Chaos guild does kind of tend to lock you in to that race.
Eventually though I want to try a Dark Elf...probably every DE class going, and a Witch Hunter, because the are awesome, and have The Hat.
