I think the hype is going down based on NCSoft's reputation for sure, plus their latest projects AA and TR are not really helping that reputation. You are wrong If one played enough of these games and know the engines and what is possible, use some simple intellect and put 2 and 2 together you can get an idea on how its gonna be. And also its called Hype because it is suppose to give idea how many "Thinks" its gonna be good or bad game, NOT how many that "Knows" its gonna be a good game. And first mmorpg to use Cryoengine tells alot about what it will look like. I am mostly intressed in the playablity because that is what wins in the end.

I haven't voted on Aion but if I did it would be zero. All I've seen are some videos of people running around. I have friends who do computer animation and texturing work that can make videos that good, so seeing good videos for a game means zilch to me. I need to see something about, y'know, actual gameplay before there's any reason for me to hype a game. I think a lot of people feel similarly. The game isn't even in beta yet...there's no reason to be hyped about it.

Aion got 10 from me. Its the best up coming game ever! And there will be nothing better before L3 and that comes 2011.
In a mean time Aion will be much more better and advanced than other mmorpg-s.
