SWG is Everquest...............with the SW franchise. I like Star Wars, one of my favourite sagas (LoTR, Matrix......)
but the game sucks, every high level player is dancing in the local cantina everyday. Why? "We cant do anything else" nice answer., It may change with its first expansion, but i don´t think it´ll be better than AO with Alien Invasion.
Originally posted by Stereoviewer Both have nice costumazation, and both have PvP. What PvP system is best? And what about the missions, are they as monotonous in AO as they are in SWG?
LOL! It is tooo funny you ask the question you have asked!
SWG took EVERYTHING from AO except for PvP for landcontrol. Thus PvP in AO is better than PvP in SWG. That is one of the major differences now between SWG and AO (SWG finally added vehicles!).
- AO has PvP for landcontrol.
- AO has the BEST atmospheric flight out of every single MMORPG ever made.
- AO has the most unique and intresting buffing system out of every MMORPG ever made.
- AO has the best shapeshifting features out of every MMORPG ever made.
- AO is the only one of 2 Sci-Fi MMORPGs out. It is just AO and SWG.
- AO has some of the best static dungeons. Better than SWG. As good as EQ, and AC.
- AO still has the best "personal instancing" dungeons. Which EQ copied recently. Which SWG weakly copied.
- AO is a 50% Skill Based game, and 50% Level Based game. AO used to allow players to completly reset all their skills. Now they nerfed that wonderful feature. SWG, UO, AC are other examples of 100% Skill Based games. EQ, DAoC, are examples of 100% Level Based games.
SWG's father is UO. SWG's mother is AO. UO+AO=SWG.
If you enjoy PvP, then AO is better than SWG, and better than ALL other MMORPGs, including DAoC. The major problem with PvP in SWG is there is nothing real to PvP for. You cannot change the game map, control areas, take areas from other players, etc... unlike in AO in which PvP has a direct effect on the gameworld, enviorment, etc....
BTW, both AO and SWG now have FREE triels. See for yourself how SWG and AO are like!

You are 100% incorrect. Have you even played EQ? Have you even played SWG? If so on what server name? Name of your highest level character? What was the highest level you made it to? And how long did you play each game?
EQ is a 100 % Level and Loot based game. New players, mid level players, have zero chance of ever having an item someone will want to buy from them. With non-stop camping. If you are not in an uber-guild you will NEVER ever get the best items in the game. You also must fork over even more $$$ to buy the bazaar expansion. Also in EQ each character/race/profession must follow the exact same template as everyone else of the same race/profession. And you are required to have 4 hours to 16 hours of free time a day in order to get anything done in EQ. Whatever skills you have you are forever stuck with. You can only learn 1 profession.
SWG is a 100% Skill Based game. They have started introducing loot, but the economy is still a 95% player based economy. New players, and semi-veteran players DO have a chance of having stuff other players will want to buy from them. There is far less camping in SWG. To get the best equipment, you either make it yourself, buy it from a player who makes it for you. You can learn 3 1/2 professions. And you are never forever stuck with whatever skills, and choices you make.
SWG has THE best ever character customization. Plus the most customized skill tree. Thus ALL players on the same server can look different, and be different - if they choose to.
Skills in AO were a waste of time, you either went the cookie cutter route or were gimped, there wasnt much variation at all (only the 'fringe' nano choices) - they really shouldnt have bothered with it unless they were going to make alternative ways for a character to be 'viable' (and since the xp was 99.99999% combat based that was never going to happen)
Plus the fact that you can chop and change your profession in SWG is a great boon
If EQ = SWG then why do I like SWG when I hated EQ? (clue=camping)
If 'high level' players in SWG have 'nothing to do' then perhaps they need to go find a game which spoon feeds the players content (read=single player game) pretty much all MMORPGs I can think of suffer (to one degree or another) through lack of 'high level' content (personally I think this problem is more the blame of the player than is currently considered)
I downloaded the AO free trial after becomeing EXTREMELY bored and fed up with SWG and i like AO alot better than SWG for many reasons:
- its funny that ppl talk about camping in AO but in SWG its rediculous, i've played swg for almost a year now, and have NEVER i repeat NEVER seen anything in the nightsister cave, now thats camping.
- ALL dungeons and caves in SWG are NOT instanced so they are usually empty and are always camped (the good ones at least), in AO the missions dungeons are all inctanced, i really like this feature.
- AO community is AWESOME, the SWG community (in my experience) is mostly young very rude immature ppl, don't get me wrong there are awesome ppl there too, but lots of jerks, which is probly true anywhere, but i've gotten alot more help in AO than i did in SWG as a newb.
- SWG graphics are better than AO, BUT like mentioned, they are bland and a waste of space, all the dungeons and caves look the same.
- The charecter (actual charecter not armor or clothing) customization is awesome in SWG and the Image Designing stuff is what kept me playing for a while (lol thats pretty sad i know), but over all armor and clothing SUX in swg, in AO there are TONS of armor and clothing and so far i love it.
Over all i think AO is more rich-content based and has alot more content than swg, thats why i am quiting swg to goto AO, also, there is no real charecter development in swg, every master Fencer is the same as the next master fencer, haveing the EXACT same skills and powers, you can mix skill trees, but you are limited on skill points, and the latest content also in swg is really bad, a few dungeons with mobs with 200k health that just decay your weapons and armor, and you get just about as much XP if not LESS than a normal monster (thats rediculous i think). Missions in swg are repetitive and boring, they all goto a lair outside somewhere, where you kill the creatures, then blow the rocks up, thats it, EVERY one is the same, just differant mobs.
Overall (in my opinion) AO is much better in every aspect than SWG except Character creation/customization (NOT armor and clothing AO is much better in this), and overall graphics in SWG are better (not really much better though, depends on your graphics card really)
SWG will have you enjoying the game till you master a few professions and get tef'd and killed by some pvp'ers (oh yea pvp now with the new jedi release is rediculous and pointless). If your trying to consider which game to play i would say AO, you can always try both FREE trials, but im warning you, SWG fun DOES NOT last too long, when i 1st started playing it I LOVED the game, it gets bad REALLY quick in SWG, but maybe this is the case in all games hehe, but AO seems to have MUCH more cool and fun content than SWG and its differant from any other i've played
I downloaded the AO free trial after becomeing EXTREMELY bored and fed up with SWG and i like AO alot better than SWG for many reasons:
Glad you like AO. To each their own though.
- its funny that ppl talk about camping in AO but in SWG its rediculous, i've played swg for almost a year now, and have NEVER i repeat NEVER seen anything in the nightsister cave, now thats camping.
I will tell you this much, camping in AO is far, far, far, WORSE than in SWG. Camping in AO is not worse than in other games like EQ though. You listed just 1 example of camping in SWG which is almost nothing because that is not the entire game. That is just for powergamer players who wish to become l00t d00d Jedi. In AO camping is required for every single race, breed, profesion, and class.
- ALL dungeons and caves in SWG are NOT instanced so they are usually empty and are always camped (the good ones at least), in AO the missions dungeons are all inctanced, i really like this feature.
Incorrect. AO has both static and non-static dungeons. And in AO it is called ''personal missions', not instancing - which is the term EQ came up with after blatantly copying that game feature directly from AO. SWG also does have 'personal missions'. SWG built on the idea first done in AO, and made it different. In AO 75% of all personal missions are in personal dungeons. Very few are outdoors. In SWG 80% of all personal missions are outdoors. Very few are indoors/in dungeons.
Both SWG and AO have static and non-static (aka personal dungeons aka personal instancing) dungeons. AO has more static dungeons than SWG. In AO the majority of all non-static dungeons/missions are IN dungeons, and not oudoors. In SWG the majority of personal missions are outdoors and not in dungeons.
- AO community is AWESOME, the SWG community (in my experience) is mostly young very rude immature ppl, don't get me wrong there are awesome ppl there too, but lots of jerks, which is probly true anywhere, but i've gotten alot more help in AO than i did in SWG as a newb.
This can be said about every single MMORPG. AO is also three times older than SWG. The original fans of AO have had time to grow, network, and build communities. SWG is still a new game. I do agree AO has recently made better steps to make their game more newbie friendly with the ARK (Advisors of Rubi-Ka) program.
- SWG graphics are better than AO, BUT like mentioned, they are bland and a waste of space, all the dungeons and caves look the same.
SWG graphics destroy AO graphics. But graphics are not what make a MMORPG. It is game features, and game mechanics, since the intended shelf life of a MMORPG is 5 years. UO, EQ, AC, are prime examples. Their graphics are outdated, but their games are doing impressive. Many gamers are not use to the HUGE size of SWG. We are talking about multiple PLANETS! All other MMORPGs take place on 1 single planet. SWG takes place on over 8 planets!
You have not fully explored the entire SWG game. AO does have more items than SWG (or as many). But the majority of items in AO are either unusable (expecially the higher level you get). And are simply useless junk and garbage. In SWG, since it is a 100% skill based game, roughly 95% of all items will be able to be used by a player. Either immediatly, or in the future IF the player explores other skills, and the entire game. In AO, which is a 50% Skill Based/50% Level Based game, the higher level a player becomes the more items will be useless by a player. AO used to allow full skill resetting, now it allows very limited skill resetting. And only a certain amount of times.
Over all i think AO is more rich-content based and has alot more content than swg, thats why i am quiting swg to goto AO, also, there is no real
AO has been out three times longer than SWG. Of course it will have more content. The question right now with SWG, is if one starts playing SWG right now, is there enough current content for them? The answer is YES.
charecter development in swg, every master Fencer is the same as the next master fencer, haveing the EXACT same skills and powers, you can mix skill trees, but you are limited on skill points,
Incorrect. And you yourself nullified your own post. Every master fencer in SWG is not the same. Every player can learn 3 1/2 professions. AND every player can unlearn any skill tree, or any skill branches as many times as they want. Jake the Master Fencer might also be a Doctor and a Smuggler. George the Master Fencer might also be a Musician, Miner, and Pistoleer. The combinations are almost mindboggling. As you yourself said "ÿou can mix skill trees".
And of course one has limited skill points, or else a player would be able to learn every single skill in the entire game. Then SWG would be like Runescape LOL! No MMORPG, not even AO, allows players to learn every single skill in the entire game. And yes, even in AO you have limited skill points.
and the latest content also in swg is really bad, a few dungeons with mobs with 200k health that just decay your weapons and armor, and you get just about as much XP if not LESS than a normal monster (thats rediculous i think). Missions in swg are repetitive and boring, they all goto a lair outside somewhere, where you kill the creatures, then blow the rocks up, thats it, EVERY one is the same, just differant mobs.
Incorrect. There are tons of different missions. My favorite has always been the rescue missions. Where you have to rescue a hostage (usually being held by Imperials). You do not need to kill anyone to succeed. In fact most of the time you won't be able to kill anyone because you will be outgunned, and/or you risk your hostage getting killed.
Overall (in my opinion) AO is much better in every aspect than SWG except Character creation/customization (NOT armor and clothing AO is much better in this), and overall graphics in SWG are better (not really much better though, depends on your graphics card really)
Again, in SWG, one will be able to use the majority of items. In AO one will NOT be able to use the majority of items. If you cannot use the items, then it does not matter how many useless items a game has. AO shines brighter than SWG in their PvP game features. AO has PvP for landcontrol. Players can actually control parts of the game map. And when they log off they can set up automated defense/offense systems to guard their land from enemy players and enemy guilds - which makes the PvP in AO even better than in DAoC.
SWG could have the best ever PvP. Only problem is there is no reason to PvP. Nothing changes. Players cannot control the game map. Or take control from other players/factions.
SWG will have you enjoying the game till you master a few professions and get tef'd and killed by some pvp'ers (oh yea pvp now with the new jedi release is rediculous and pointless).
If you do not like getting killed by PvPers, then do NOT engage in PvP! Hey, that is what PvP is about! Sometimes you win, sometimes you... die. Same thing in PvP in AO, as well. I agree SWG should drop Jedi, and concentrate on other professions.
How can you say "try both free trials" then you advise against trying the SWG free trial? Just say try BOTH free trials and see for yourself which one YOU like best. And leave it at that.
Hope this helps ya out,

Also, SWG is intended for casual gamers. People who have a life aka 1 to 3 hours of free time to play a game. AO is not for powergamers (compared to EQ), but AO is more middle of the road - for casual gamers and somewhat for hardcore gamers.

I have been playing since launch, and have 100+ badges and have mastered almost 20 proffessions, and have NOT "grinded" any except dancer and entertainer. As for items if you think a "broken datapad" is good usefull loot than i guess the items in swg are great lol but i guess its all opinion
And are simply useless junk and garbage.
...again swg also has LOTS of garbage (ie broken datapads, and all kinds of useless stuff)
In SWG, since it is a 100% skill based game, roughly 95% of all items will be able to be used by a player.
lol 95% of my items are sitting in my house and will continue siting there after til i give them away. ie: paintings, furniture, old weapons, nerfed pets and weapons, useless armor...
Either immediatly, or in the future IF the player explores other skills, and the entire game. Incorrect. And you yourself nullified your own post. Every master fencer in SWG is not the same.
Every Master Fencer IS the same (and you nullified your post as well) I said nothing about mixing professions, i said Master Fencer NOT Master Fencer/Master this/Master that..., i ment every Master Fencer, then just wanted to clarify that you can mix skill trees, sorry if the post was confusing.

Incorrect. There are tons of different missions.
Yes there are billions of them, what i meant was EVERY Destroy mission or every mission you get froma terminal are Extremely similar, lots of mobs, then blow up the lair, thats it. I'm not talking about themeparks or npc missions, those are fun if you like talking to an npc, going to meet another, then returning to the npc to do it again hehe.
My favorite has always been the rescue missions. Where you have to rescue a hostage (usually being held by Imperials). You do not need to kill anyone to succeed. In fact most of the time you won't be able to kill anyone because you will be outgunned, and/or you risk your hostage getting killed.

Again, in SWG, one will be able to use the majority of items.
Still disagree, from experience, but i guess you can use a disabled Long Vibro Axe if you want to do 0 dmg and help a newb level.
In AO one will NOT be able to use the majority of items.
True in swg, cause weapons and armor DECAY and become useless after they are broken.
If you cannot use the items, then it does not matter how many useless items a game has. AO shines brighter than SWG in their PvP game features. AO has PvP for landcontrol. Players can actually control parts of the game map. SWG could have the best ever PvP.
FF11 now has a great PvP system like ao's, why swg did PvP the way they did, i will never understand.
Only problem is there is no reason to PvP.
Cause you WILL die unless you are TKA, Fencer, Combat Medic. or jedi, and not those alone, you have to mix them with all the defense rows in a profession even if you don't like the proffesion, and ALWAYS be buff'd (which is another thing that kill'd it for me) and have the proper buff food, or you stand no chance.
If you join a faction (ie Rebel or Imperial), and you do the themepark missions or get searched by a storm trooper, you get this little flag called a TEF (Temporary Enemy Flag) which lasts a good amount of time (about 3-5 minutes) while this is active ANY Overt imperial or rebel can KILL and will kill you.
Hey, that is what PvP is about! Sometimes you win, sometimes you... die. Same thing in PvP in AO, as well. I agree SWG should drop Jedi, and concentrate on other professions.

Like this...Try both free trials! (lol thats a joke)
then you advise against trying the SWG free trial?
Just giveing my experience, and opinion, but your right i kinda did so sorry about that, i encourage anyone to try both!
Just say try BOTH free trials
Try BOTH free trials! and see for yourself which one YOU like best.
And leave it at that.

Also, SWG is intended for casual gamers. People who have a life aka 1 to 3 hours of free time to play a game.
If you mean 1-3 hours a day, then i guess im a casual gamer, cause i play this much sometimes less a day, sometimes not a all a day. Damn i thought i was one of those cool powergamers (not)
AO is not for powergamers (compared to EQ), but AO is more middle of the road - for casual gamers and somewhat for hardcore gamers.
Everything is opinion, I still play SWG, mainly because ALOT of my friends play, so i may just cancel my account til publish 10 or JTL, to try and hope that i will like it again, right now i'm enjoying AO
1. What MMORPG to you is great? That you are playing right now?
2. Did you ever play AO? What server? When was the last time you played AO? Hightest level you made it to? How long did you play AO?
3. Did you ever play SWG? What server? When was the last time you played SWG? How long did you play for?
4. AO and SWG are MMORPGs which means they are forever changing. Some one who played AO during its first 4 months of release would not recignize the game if they played currently right now. MMORPGs are not like Stand Alone games..... where you can play it 4 years from now and it will be exactly the same as when you played 4 years before.

policeman isnt ur dream job? if u wonna ask something try to be polite
My point is for me, and everone here, to get a better idea where you are coming from. For example, if you answer that you played AO for 5 months from release to 5 months after release. And you have not played AO within the past 1 year. Then all your comments about AO "sux" would be sorely outdated. AO right now is nothing like it was after it first released. It then can be said you do not know what AO is like right now.
Same with SWG. Anyone who has not recently played it within the past 2 months have no idea what SWG is like right now. Compared to if they had played SWG during its first 6 months of release.
That is why I posted that MMORPGs are not like Stand Alone Games. MMORPGs are continously changing all the time. BTW, you will see AO in the first link in my sig. There are 2 folders about AO.
- its funny that ppl talk about camping in AO but in SWG its rediculous, i've played swg for almost a year now, and have NEVER i repeat NEVER seen anything in the nightsister cave, now thats camping.
The major difference here is the fact that in AO camping is pretty much forced on the player - in SWG its completely optional
Since AO is 99% combat xp you have to spec your character to be most effective in combat, if you were a nano-heavy profession you probably needed Nelebs robe and thus you had to camp Nelebs cave until you got it (and Nelebs was a mercifully short spawn with a 100% guaranteed loot drop - the others were all downhill from there....). That of course is one example for one item.
- ALL dungeons and caves in SWG are NOT instanced so they are usually empty and are always camped (the good ones at least), in AO the missions dungeons are all inctanced, i really like this feature.
The corvette in SWG is instanced, there are pros and cons to each method, the problem with instanced dungeons/missions is that your team has to be capable of completeing it on their own, a non-instanced dungeon/mission can have multiple teams helping each other (and thus players of lower levels and those who dont have the help of many friends/guildmates can experience the content - granted it does leave you open to kill stealing etc
- AO community is AWESOME, the SWG community (in my experience) is mostly young very rude immature ppl, don't get me wrong there are awesome ppl there too, but lots of jerks, which is probly true anywhere, but i've gotten alot more help in AO than i did in SWG as a newb.
My experience was the reverse, AO's community was largely uninterested in RP and was only interested in powerlevelling and PvP - now if thats your thing I can see why you thought AO's community was great. Thats said I've seen lots of helpful people in SWG - but lets make a distinction here help != free money. I will give anyone help in the form of advice and tips, what I will _never_ do is give out free money, the receipient doesnt learn anything, certainly not the value of money, I consider my advice to be priceless if they cant see the value in that them I dont think they want help, they just want charity because they are lazy
Clothing is massive in SWG (Tailors can make custom coloured items you know?) and far more utilised than in AO (in AO once you twink into new armour youre unlikely to want to take it off because finding all the buffs again is a total pain). Social clothing in AO was basically a waste of time (although it did show the devs originally intended AO to have big RP content) because of everyone staying in their armour, but in SWG armour can have variable 'weight' (customisable by an Armoursmith) and the buffs are alot easier to find (because you can, with the exception of doc/ent buffs) buy the buff rather than have to find a player of the correct level/class to cast the buff)
Largely all AO players of the same profession have the same skill layout - since AO is 99% combat xp you have to spec for the most effective combat template or be gimped, there isnt really any choice is how you play an AO profession
I played AO for a year and finally got sick of the mission treadmill (gotta keep levelling) camping for 'must have' items, camping for 'must have' nanos (you cant buy from a shop, roll a mission for or afford to buy from the higher level player and lack of RP. I've been playing SWG for a year now and show no sign of quitting, the game forces me to do _nothing_ and lets me do exactly what I want (which may be sitting around doing nothing).

Some of this might have changed during my playtime however. I played from release of game.
Originally posted by Selek A good handcrafted world. SWG's many planets are just giant randomly generated overly big empty wastelands.. with a few cities and outposts thrown on them. When players in SWG asked for "content" SOE's idea was to put in about 10000 REALLY BAD quests.. most of them "give this loaf of bread to my brother on the other side of the world for no f*cking reason" quests. and all you get as a reward in SWG is like 150 credits.... AO will soon have cities as SWG does. AO also has clubs (cantinas) and social dances and such, which everyone can do. AO has many more weapons/armor then SWG, unlike SWG in AO you don't see everyone in composite 24/7. noone looks the same in AO AO has a real skill system unlike SWG's select a block on the skill tree thing. In AO you can fly aswell as drive on the ground In AO you have just as many if not more social clothing choices as SWG AO is fun I still play AO and quit SWG 6 months after beta. and i've been playing AO well over a year.
-Selek
Social clothing? no-one uses them cause its such a hassle to change armor usually.
And yes most people look the same at higher lvls...
AO will have cities? umm yea in the next expansion, but you actually believe its 'soon' and that they will release a finished product?
Skill system i agree on, one of the better ones actually... its not gain-exp-when-using-certain-item/skill but it does gives a chance to be different.
So what's the content in AO now? its just a lvl-grind and perhaps if youre feeling lucky kill a pocket-boss... Can you say Camp-a-thon?
Im not a BIG fan of Swg, but atleast there the game is in working order... Youre still beta-testing SL for them you know. And the release of AI will probably be the same sadly.
Its booooooooooooooooring. Selet a profession, master it, go to a dungeon, dance in the cantina, what next?Master another profession, go to a dungeon, dance in the cantina. ......Guess what, yeah, master another profession, go to a dungeon............. and hell, SWG doesnt even have people RP.

AO has the greatest Customer service among all mmorpgs ive played. SWG, guess what, its SOE.
Community: people in AO help each other and its fun to roleplay. Theres no roleplay in SWG, cuz SW hardcore fans left the game due to "it doesnt feel like SW", and they don´t care about helping.

Throw em both in a barrel and lets have a turkey shoot. SWG was a insult to starwars
And when AO went with the L33t crap it totally sent a message about their integrity, not to mention the horrers the older players had to endure.
Instead of comparing flaming and bitching about these two titles why not take that energy and direct it broadly at these cooperate shirts putting out rushed crappy games. Honestly who talks about these washed up games? nobody.
peeps still talk about games like UO, and asherons call. till well the cooperate claw got a hold of both and the rest is history, and their even writing about that.
this is my opinion. i ask that it only be read and digested and you decide if its crap or knowledge i give a crap less either way. I was heard.
And here i was thinking that l33t crap is what ao was about from the beginning... you mean the 18h camps? or mercs? or shadowlands? or whut?
And no you do give a crap about what ppl think of what you posted, cause otherwise you wouldnt have posted ^^ but lets not split hairs...
Its pretty simple, AO has a history of not completing what they started, swg was atleast mildly playable a month after release from what ive heard. It seems the 1½ generation of mmorpgs that came out were all started by people with pretty good visions and dreams of what their game should look like. When they finally found financial backing and started coding/designing they quickly found out that the financial backing has a pretty big say in everything that occurs and their visions start to get pretty washed out... And when the first/second expansions hit the shelves the visionaries have long since left their babies to be raped continually by money-grubbing poobahs that only care about the number of new saps they can bring in to pay their bills. Its pretty obvious in AO cause everything new they introduce is Always bugged, they dont know how to code their own freaking database... gah i got started on that database again... bleh hate it

SWG i canceled for one week but account is still open (4 days left)...after CR delay anonced
ones again both games suxx
AO is more crap...just read the official AO forum about last patch
i can imagine what will be after AI relaese lol
"Basically, the only people who can comment in this there thread are ones who have played AO within the past 4 months, and SWG within the past 2 months"
another stoopid azz comment nothing is changed in AO after SL release xept some nerfs
about SWG why only 2 months ? explain
i see now ur AO pics lol nice ql ( Voodoo grafics?)
Lets see. If you want to play AO you have to be smart, if your not you will be a gimp. Know math, AO has a complex skill/items system. AO is just very complex.Though there are many player made tools to help knew players. Including in-games chat bots.
I played SWG, I can only play it a month at a time before I get sick of it.Just couldn't take it anymore, I made it to Master CH and some others, then started up the BH tree... I thought I was going to go insane so I stopped playing it. You know your sick of a game when you find yourself logging in , running and jumping around all over the place, then you log off. I hate the buffing system in SWG. You have to craft a item, then use it for a buff. The item is then used up (this causes huge lines of people in a line waiting for a doctor to buff them). In AO you can cast the buff onto the person to add skills, you can cast it as much as you like until your run out of Nano Pool, then you just recharge your Nano.
In the end I would recommed AO if your are in it for the long run. If you just want to play for a month to have something to do, play SWG, thought I would rather just rent a Star Wars game from the video store. SWG is pleasing to the eyes, relaxing (duh, you have macroes running 24/7, why wouldn't it be :P).
Comments
SWG is Everquest...............with the SW franchise. I like Star Wars, one of my favourite sagas (LoTR, Matrix......)
but the game sucks, every high level player is dancing in the local cantina everyday. Why? "We cant do anything else" nice answer., It may change with its first expansion, but i don´t think it´ll be better than AO with Alien Invasion.
(I play both AO and SWG )

If your trying to consider which game to play i would say AO, you can always try both FREE trials, but im warning you, SWG fun DOES NOT last too long, when i 1st started playing it I LOVED the game, it gets bad REALLY quick in SWG, but maybe this is the case in all games hehe, but AO seems to have MUCH more cool and fun content than SWG and its differant from any other i've played

policeman isnt ur dream job?
if u wonna ask something try to be polite
havent seen AO in ur hardcore games list
so whats ur point?
Crock,
My point is not to pretend I'm a policeman LOL.
There are 2 folders about AO.

this is my opinion. i ask that it only be read and digested and you decide if its crap or knowledge i give a crap less either way. I was heard.
FoE Fist of the Empire
Its pretty obvious in AO cause everything new they introduce is Always bugged, they dont know how to code their own freaking database... gah i got started on that database again... bleh hate it
*EDIT* dont -> do ^^ *EDIT

As I said on page 3 of this here thread, anyone who has NOT played AO within the past 5 months, and SWG within the past 2 months, have zero idea what AO and SWG are like.
You said you played SWG for 3 months from release. SWG is nothing what it was like 9 months ago.
If you said you played AO for 3 months from release, you would also know AO is nothing what it was like 2+ years ago.
Basically, the only people who can comment in this there thread are ones who have played AO within the past 4 months, and SWG within the past 2 months.
(Notice how that guy Crock never responded to my questions about when was the last time he played AO and SWG? LOL! And he has the never to say both games "sux")
