I've played WoW for a while and I never really liked it, it was just something to do on my spare time. I thought it would get better when I reached level 60 but to be honest, it got even worse. Heres my reasons why I dont like it:
-The constant grinding all the time for repair bills ect. Takes ALOT of time even for a MMORPG
-The constant raiding for gear. Also took loads of time and I got sick of it fast becouse it was the same old instances every darn week.
-The community.
-The graphics. Its not very important but its a factor.
The only thing i really liked with WoW was probably the PvP. I loved the pvp but after a while, when you've played WSG, AB, AV and that lot a number of times, it got boring aswell.
I've played both and the differences are largely cosmetic. WoW shortens the level grind, adds a ton more meaningless quests, and marks both quest vendors and objectives clearly. Other than that, they might as well be the same damn game. Why can't you just admit that people only hate this game because it's popular? Pop culture is filled with popular things of average quality that generally became hated in a very short time. Why can't WoW also fall into this catagory? Oh yeah! Because that would be admitting that the entire genre sucks just as bad, if not worse.
Congratulations. You understand that they're both MMORPGs. By your logic, Chess is Checkers, Warcraft is Starcraft, and chicken is turkey. I think it's time you learned the difference between similar and identical.
You even started a list of differences between two things you called identical. I think you're done here.

Chess may not be checkers, but Starcraft is Warcraft... in space....
However, Starcraft is not Total Annihilation or Enemy Nations. WoW is EQ... in Azeroth. WoW is not however, A Tale in The Desert or Saga of Ryzom.
And I did admit that WoW and EQ weren't identical twins. But if you saw them from across the room, you could probably be forgiven for mistaking one for the other.
That was a metaphor BTW. I don't want to confuse you anymore than you already seem to be.
WoW is not different ENOUGH to be hated for any other reason than its popularity. Do you get it now?
wow is hated more then just popularity, which is somewhat of a factor, i hate wow because its the only decent MMO out and everytime i go back i enjoy it for some time then end up hating it usualy due to end game or the community. I WANT SOMETHING ELSE!

If you can't see the differences between two different games, then I can understand why you might think the way you do. But you've already admitted there are differences between the games other than just popularity, so why do you persist with that nonsensical argument?
In this thread alone, several people have given their reasons for hating it, and not one has mentioned popularity.
Either you're wrong, or every one of them is wrong. Odds are good it's just you.
I was ganna be lame and list off 10-20 reasons why I hate WoW then i realized.... I dont hate it, Ive just played the game and goten soo bored and tired of it that I simply cant take it anymore. At this point its torture even thinking of ..$666$Blizzard$666$.
Fortunately the game is on a steady decline since TBC And seems to be losing some ground, lots of low and med servers and very few High/full nowdays.

Thank god for that. Some MMO's need more players.
