He is not the evening news he is a commentator.
"I'd give good money to see what would happen to the average suburbanite in that situation. Would they prove to be made of tougher stuff than their cushy lifestyle would suggest? Perhaps, but I wouldn't hold my breath."
The proof is right here in front of you today. And I might say, myself along with many others are quite impressed.
"But, then, speaking rationally and trying to inform people from an unbiased point of view doesn't sell as much ad time as inflammatory rhetoric"
He's also a public figure with a nationally broadcast radio program listened to by many people. I see nothing wrong with holding him, or his contemporaries, liberal or otherwise, to the same standards by which they judge others. Browbeating some poor woman to the verge of tears doesn't do anyone any good. Nothing is learned from it. It's simply mean, and it's a perfect example of whats wrong with American politics today. It's not about what you believe in, it's about how bad you can make the other person look. I think it says something when people are voting for someone not because they agree with what he has to say, but because he's not as bad as the other guy.
I don't really watch any tv, so I know nothing of their news programs. However, if they are showing a bias, then they have failed at the job of delivering the news.
You lost me on the proof thing, though. What proof? Who are these others? What, exactly, are you all impressed with?
------- They panic, so just hold them down I could live like this I'm closing in; hate all around I could be like this Hearing them, them in my head How could they be so sweet... sweet?

You wondered how suburbanites would react today vs yesteryear. After 9-11 I'd say many are doing quite well. Some stepped up and are serving in the military and some doing their part at home. And as always there are some that get weak in the knees.

I don't know what situation you're talking about but if someone has been misinformed or lied to over a number of years, sometimes it takes strong medicine to point it out.
LOL and if you think politics is a rough business now look back about 200 years.

LOL that's happened to me more than once. May I suggest the CYA method? Just cut and paste your post to a text editor before you hit the post button, then if it decides to 'go away' you can simply cut and paste it back to the forum and repost.
That has happend to me so many times.....I was about to sue MMRPG.com for mental distress

NBC, ABC or CBS. Which of these are unbiased?
