Nice video, AOC by far has the best graphics out of most of the mmo's today but as a gamer I would much rather hear about Funcom making progress on fixing the game so people can eventually play it. Still a nice video though
Though I'm pretty disillusionised after seeing the graphics. This just won't run on a 8600m GT 256MB with it's core ticking at 470MHz and the memory at 635MHz. Overclocking is no option for me...
Ah, well... atleast I don't have to bother about any release dates anymore. See you in AoC in 2011 when I get my next Hardware upgrade.

I think you will alright with that graphics card, its better than an 7600 and they said AoC will be highly scalable. Bit presumptious to call doom before game is even optimised and system requirements released.

I can't agree with you more. AoC is going to be ridiculously awesome. And yes, WAR is crap compared to, well, pretty much everything, especially this. I just pray they don't push back the release date again.
As for judging a book by its cover you might want to delve a bit deeper before claiming anything as a winner. If you were to look at actual beta gameplay footage you would see a host of gamebreaking bugs. At least WAR can claim that it has a working basic system under its hood reguardless of how you feel about its artstyle. BTW how the heck is WAR Cartoony? I never understood this. Cartoons are more solid colors and almost no shading yet WAR is anything but. Look at humans and chaos...they hardly seem cartoony to me but hey to each their own.
From what I was hearing WAR has a lot of unfinished content still. Some places in Beta lay barren, where you can tell theres supposed to be a building or NPC there but there's nothing. Ontop of that alot of quests are dead-end because of missing NPC or content. I think they need more time for WAR. Not that i'm bashing the game or saying its bad. I'm not, just reciting what i've heard.
As for the video, very well done.. and to the OP thank you for sharing.
Perhaps the video creator should think about a job in this department?

Oh, and to the masses. Don't ever.. EVER expect an MMO to look like the top-of-the-line games out there with awesome graphics like Crysis. EVER. Not everyone has a 'l33t' machine like you do, alot of players have standard-end machines that would be playing a slideshow on those kinds of graphics, so companies have to limit the graphic's "awesomeness" to ensure they can have as many players as they can get playing the game. There are ways to cheat this system with the graphics systems (illusions and the like) but don't ever expect the graphics of an MMO to blow you out of the water. They will always be a step behind the best out there, as thats where most of the audience stands with their gaming machines.

Ha! it wasn't that hard to do, just had to make do with what was released already. To be honest it took longer searching thru everything to find what you want than to put together.

I just wish some of the footage that people got with handhelds at various trade shows was just a little bit better. Some of the vid's of Khemi that I've seen were pretty incredible and to me would be huge selling points. Especially since they arent the ones that people have seen as much.
Absolutely great job on the editing though, it really is the best vid that I've seen that captures the feel of AoC.
Nicely done video though odd choices of music. I never figured Hyboria to have such pastoral theme music. It's good for showing off scenery which was the point I suppose, but I kept waiting for the soundtrack to change and the video switch to bloody carnage

You'd actually be surprised at the skill it takes to produce a good video. Those who have the "Gift" if you will see nothing of it. Comes naturally, but to others its quite a challenge to compose a compelling video that holds attention and warrants attention.

I really love AoC graphics, I think they are the most artistic I ve seen in a MMO so far.
Well done to Funcon (the 1 to 1 fight was a cinematic movie not real in game footage btw).
What I am really worried though is the kind of computer you need to run that game.
Personally I won't have a problem, I am going to spend around $ 2.500 to build a new machine just to play the game, but I very doubt that the average computer could run AoC.
I hope I am wrong.

AoC looks really good. I've been excited about it for quite a while now. No other MMO on the horizon looks even remotely as interesting. Infiniti looks really good, for space lovers.
I don't get it. There isnt even footage of the game user interface, and no combat or loot. Yes pretty hills and forests, but uhm I was expecting to see the actual game.
