Well, AoC remembers me more of the same MMO-cookie system, nothing new, mostly coz of this video that speaks for itself; if we compare in-game vids to in-game vids, the ballance falls not always in the side of the hyborians. For me AoC is a WoW with a Conan theme. Sad destiny for the King of Aquilonia...

I personally think AOC's graphics are leagues above DF.
With that said, I don't really care too much about graphics as long as the game has excellent PVP - hell, even today I'm still playing AC1 and hold it as the best game I have ever played.
AOC was built from the ground up for PVP. Having PVP only equipment AND level's is a godsend - I HATE forced PVE. It is a shame though that they went level based, skill based setups are much more versatile and fun.
As for DF, I've been waiting on it for years...yet the dev's are still spewing the same old crap every update that can be summed up with: 'we are working on it, hopefully we will tell you more next update'.
Meh. As long as one of the upcoming MMO's is even half as good as AC1 or UO pre tram I will be more than happy, if not...it's back to grinding out the waiting game.
anyway Darkfall is the only game that is actually trying to do something more then a wow clone so they are in their own league. Also WAR nor AoC look that amazing graphicly and cosindering that the only thing they have going for them its laughable.

Krogan, AoC is VERY different from WoW.
Also Blizzard weren't the first people to invent MMORPG's, they just managed to attract a lot of people. Why not call WoW a clone of EQ1 and DaOC?
I remember before WoW's release blizzard stated that their game was nothing new but they just improved on previously used game styles.
I guess its true that AoC is more of a EQ clone as it's so heavly zoned but its limited races and costumization is almost unqiue I guess. Still it's just more of the same old boring crap that we have gotten so used to in mmo's.

But the OP has his own agenda against AoC, with his own methods of baiting.
DFO has to have more of non realistic graphics and animations to be able to handle 10k players simultaniously, I can't see that working atm.
Now call me looney toons, but I will take those graphics, which don't look bad at all in my opinion, as long as the gameplay is tight and focused.
That's the thing that bother's me about threads like this - This game is better because of x and y. It's really quite arbitrary, and depends on the poster.
The graphics in DF aren't superb but they are still quite excellent; highly stylized, but good. Eye candy is always a plus, and DF get points in that for the little things: glinting armour and weapons, stealthing in shadows and the like.
DF really doesn't look dated. It's just different. Like me. And everyone loves me.
I remember in ye olde UO, all the old pks getting horny over the "new uo" that would soon be out and sure enough.. here we are and no magical, under funded mecca has been delivered to us yet..
Ridiculous.
Anyone giving this development team the benefit of the doubt is an idiot beyond all measure.
