In their defense, BioWare / Lucas Arts could be making SWG2...not KOTOR.
One thing is 99.9% sure...IT WILL BE A STARWARS TITLE!
Only one thing......PLEASE DON'T LET IT BE FPS!

Amen to that! If I wanted to play an FPS, I'd play BF2 online or Halo. I play an mmoRPG to play exactly that, an RPG. oooh I also hope they do take into mind the ideas I posted on the "Just for Funsies KOTOR:O poll" thread, I just think they would add a much more star wars feel.

Oh and also since it's already been rbought up. Can someone please tell me a little more about the Legacy time line? I keep hearing about it, but not really enough, I'm just curious is all because I remember a previous poster saying it would be a great time line for an SW MMO

Since the MMO has been under development for some time and this is a new  agreement ,it kills any shot of being related to the MMO that BW has been working on for a few years.
But great news for kotor 3 with an online mulitplayer element  being done by bioware instead of some other company now seems likely.

Thats kinda silly,  MMO's take a good long while to develop.  SOE holds the rights to doing a Star Wars online game right now.  That does not mean that Lucasarts would be in breach if they allowed Bioware to develop a Kotor MMORPG back in 2005 when this secret project in Austin was made public.  I bieleve that SOE's liscence expires sometime in late 2008 early 2009.  This would give the Kotor MMO a close to 5 year development cycle which I bieleve is the average development cycle for a MMO.  I predict we will see an announcment of some sort in summer 2008 from both SOE and Bioware.  Bioware announcing Kotor online, and SOE announcing that SWG will be closing.
