Except Ron Paul my friend, check out his voting record. If i was a citizen of the US my vote would be definitely going to him.  This man takes orders from nobody but the constitution, and that is exactly what America needs.

No candidate can do any Justice with the current system we have in America today.  I agree there are lesser of countless evils out there, like Kucinich and Paul, but the manner in which we spend our Country's non-existent money and force Democracy on the World is wrong, all wrong. 

 

Let's just go through some quotes and facts;

$900+ billion, is spent on military budgets a year worldwide, 50% spend by the US ($450 Billion).

The Percentage of US military spending that would ensure the ESSENTIALS OF LIFE to everyone in the world, according to the UN? is a mere 10% - about $40 Billion, the amount of funding initially requested to fund our retaliatory attack on Afghanistan.

 

Something needs to change, and it's not our Presidential Candidate, it's the system.

This thread has "argument" written all over it.

It's a tough choice, since I don't hear much about the two biggest concerns I have for America: free trade agreements and lobbyists/special interest groups.  I think both of those are larger problems than the Iraq War or the Mexican border.

100% Agreed.  Yet the media tries to knock him down because he says all the things they don't agree with and doesn't bow to any special interest groups.  Now I'm from Canada so obviously I can't vote, but I do care about America and my choice would be Ron Paul by a mile.

Tylpe in Ron Paul Censored.  Check out FOX news any day to listen to them him.  Some powerful people do NOT want him to win but a lot of people are taking notice [and in turn are being called fanatics] because they want serious change.  Of course if these same people supported a candidate with NeoCon interests they would not be considered 'fanatics and loonies' but simply 'the people have spoken!'.

Anyhoo, I'm not here to argue as I'm sure no one else really is I'm just telling you guys what my choice woould be.  This will be the most interesting election I've ever seen I think considering all the candidates.

I can't wait til you get your first peek of Clinton / Obama card...I would love to be there for the horror in your eyes, that would be great entertainment.  Of course this would come out as they together annouce that they are openning up the borders for all who would like to enter and all former illegal immigrants are granted amnesty and citizenship.

A Clinton/Obama ticket would definitely have some power.  Obama, however, doesn't sound likes he's interested in the Vice Presidency.  This is from the CBS website:

I'd vote for Bobo the Monkey over any Republican, at this point. 

Seriously, it will most likely be a Democrat who becomes president - Bush has messed it up for his entire party. 

I don't recall the country having nearly as many problems when Bill Clinton was in office.  Yeah, I know he was fooling around with Monica but do you think he's the only government official to do that?  Does that indiscretion nullify his entire presidency?  Clinton screwed one person, Bush has screwed the whole country!  Also remember that Hillary played a very active role in his administration and, as such, gained some valuable experience. 

Barack seems like a strong contender but he suffers from a lack of experience.  On top of that, he attacked Hillary for voting for the war in Iraq but he wasn't even a Senator yet, so we don't know how he would've voted.  It's easy to look back now and say "oh, I would have been against it" but things looked different when Bush and his cronies were feeding everyone false intelligence about Saddam's "WMDs".  Anyone who voted against the war looked like they were "anti-American".  Barack also went after Hillary because she voted to condemn Iran as a terrorist nation yet he didn't even show up to vote at all.

I have to wonder how many of the people posting on this site are teenagers or in their early 20's.  It's unlikely they really remember the politics of the 90's or even 9/11.  If you're 18 now, you were only 12 years old when the World Trade Center was attacked and 4 years old when Bill Clinton became president.   I don't know too many children that follow politics...so a lot of the negative Clinton comments are probably coming from people who don't even have first hand knowledge of the events.  I voted for Bill Clinton, twice, and the USA seemed to be in pretty good shape while he was in charge.
