you know, who cares about graphics anyway?  I still play Diablo 2 and even though Dungeon Siege's graphics are better, I don't even play it anywhere near as much as I've played D2.  J-monster, a warning in advance. as you get older you get more cranky.  Dana Carvey doing the grumpy old man act, I'm turning into him already...   Have fun, don't let us oldsters get you down!

The guys that say everyone that plays WoW will primarily be 13 years old because they think that only 13 year olds say L33t and Pwnzors. I hate it, and it's not just 13 year old "kids". (In my opinion, you are an adult at 13 as long as you are capable to make good decisions ect.) I have seen alot of 30 year odl guys saying L33t and stuff. So shut up about the age thing, its a "massive-multiplayer-online-ROLEPLAYING-game". ROLEPLAYING, that means your age doesnt matter it's about you charecter. Leave it to the "adults" to make everything a business.

If you're going to play EQ2 for graphics and you don't want to play WoW for graphics you're an idiot.  That's pretty obvious to most intelligent individuals.  If you like graphics and that's it, take a step outside and go for a walk, or go watch LotR.  If you want game play (btw, that's what video games are all about), only then you should buy an MMORPG.

Now, I've only played one MMORPG, it was FFXI.  Unfortunately, the level grinding killed me and I stopped playing.  Not enough incentive to play.  I like action and there wan't enough.  So, I settled on my own personal opinion that "ALL MMORPGs ARE BORING".  Too bad for me.  So now what do I look for in a MMORPG?  One that will be fun.  One that will break all of the problems I saw with FFXI and read about other MMORPGs.  More than anything though, it MUST be entertaining.  I have too much stuff to do to pay to be bored.

IMO, there are only 3 games that offer this: COH, WoW, Guild Wars.   From the reviews and features of this game here is what I've determied:

COH - will get boring too quick if you're hardcore cause there is no real point

Guild Wars - Good, but enough immersion into a world.  More like WC on battle.net where you sit around to talk to people in a channel and then go play against them; except the channel is a town.

WoW - Seems like the best option so far.

EQ2 looks awesome.  I love the classes (there are so many) and love the races (so many as well) and the graphics are sick.  Infact just recently I went to my bro and said, "Look, EQ2 seemss pretty cool".  He then reminded me that looking cool isn't necessarily fun, and that it has the same level grinding, etc. problems as most of the other basic MMORPGS.  I tried to argue with him but when he said, "Show me one place where they have added features to try and break the bordem of this genre".  I looked around to many sites, and found nothing.  No where did it say anything about EQ2 trying to improve the tredmilling, the part finding, the quest structure, the plot, the pvp, etc.

You need to have fun otherwise it's not worth the cash.  I mean, who would pay good cash to be bored playing a game with the best graphics?   Answer: No one.

Whats the point of playing an mmorpg if there is no treadmill? sure it would be fun at first but it would soon get boring and old quick, mmorpgs need level treadmills , all mmorpgs are based around them and need them for customers to subscribe longer and give hardcore players something to do, +the rewarding feal of getting to X level and Y item, sounds to me like youd be better of playing counter-strike. The only way a mmorpg could be good and fun and lasting without a treadmill is if the game has pure realistic RP with good pvp and perma death.image , bring on the flames

Amen- people need to stop giving the treadmill a bad rap, its the very pulsing heart at the center of the mmorpg experience.

I think EQ2 and WoW will both be good games.  I'm probably going to play EQ2 because I like EQ live.  It's hard to say which is better.  In the end I might play WoW I don't know which is going to be better.  I don't know the future, EQ2 could be a failure but i doubt it will.  As for the mature and immature both games will have it, but with my experience blizzard seems to generate more of it.
