Lindane and Daffid are mau-mauing me to turn my creative energies first toward frivolity and then in the channel of self-destruction.  We already know how to spot trolls; and now I think we can easily spot frivolous and absurd questions (see Daffid's questions above).

When I talked about how to become successful [1) persistence and 2) an ability to communicate], I think you misunderstood me.  What you are doing is not persistence;  it is called pestering

Tell you what, I will throw you a big slow soft pitch.

Show me ONE previous post started by the original poster that is a "dear diary" rant.  Just one!  That shouldn't be to hard since you claim that is where you get your basis from.

I've read his history and I know you can't.  So I await another woe is me I'm getting picked on reply.

The OP has my full sympathy.

Its funny, when after so many months a game still has such fundamental problems, people blame the *player* for getting frustrated! You can really excuse everything in that way. Quite poor.

No, I had my share of frustrating experiences, as well. It just sticks out so much, because I know plenty MMOs who have NO such shit at all, which VG still is FULL of. If you loose an entire evening because of such crap, a player has every right to be pissed. End of the story.

Besides, I think it is VERY bad style to start examining a posters thread history and cite against him whatever he said, wrote or didnt say in the last 400 years. It is one of the most immoral and degraded ways to make someone look bad, because you know 90% of the people wont check the post history of someone, so its just the most unfair kind of attack against someone.  People have the RIGHT to feel angered over bugs! If you dont feel angry over bugy, fine, but its very, very low moral and style trying to ridicule someone because he shares his experiences. It is NOT your right to deny him his experession!

Reply to the issue at HAND, and stop this kind of harrassment! Spying out a persons posting history... how can someone fall so low? What comes next? Posting the person's list of failed relationships? Or maybe you start a research how often he changes his underwear to discredit him??

Are you serious? Their posting history is very important. I could give you a few names on these forums where all they did was troll a certiain companies forums and talk how bad their games were and they admitted they did not even play the game!

If someone is making a bad review in a way that is their opinion I'm ok with it. If someone is making a bad review just to flame bait and troll then most of the time it is quite obvious by their posting history.

I can understand how the OP feels. I've had that happen to me before where one bad experience reminds you of why you left the game in the first place. Let the dolts flame you. We see them for what they really are.

LMFAO.  I can tell you have not been around much in life in 1) government, 2) law, 3) management, or even any 4) position of responsibility.  If this is your definition of harassment, you ought to stay inside and keep playing video games.  And, if you believe nothing else, believe me on that.

It is plain, clear, obvious, and leaves no room for negotiaton:

    1. OP tends to buy games
    2. Gets frustrated
    3. Quits
    4. Posts about it

When you post on this web page, or any other, you will generate a history.  Some of us at work/school will examine that history to determine if the poster is a 1) flamer, 2) troll, or 3) gets easily frustrated.  I have made my determination, and no one has to agree with it.  I am not going to explore the OP's mind with his guidance or anyone else's;  his previous postings satisfy me to make that determination, and I am very confident in that determination.  It has less to do with this game (or any other) and more to do with him.

Some people are getting the point, and others are not.  I know people dislike me on this web page and will reply for the simple fact that I am posting and allude to me (see, e.g., Elikal's post above discussing harassment and rights to expression and how people are trying to prevent it, inter alia.).  If anyone's post has missed the point more, I have yet to see it.  First, it was "fanboy."  Then it was frivolous questions.  Today it is the accusation some of us are trying to prevent free expression.   [I know a "review" (now "impressions") when I see one, and I know a "Dear Diary, I am mad" when I see one, too.  I have as much of a "right" to call-it-out as the OP has a right to express it.]

It is one thing to have an opinion, it is an entirely different thing to make up facts to support your opinion.   Please post a link to any of his other "dear diary" posts that you claim he continually makes.

Link one that shows how easily frustrated he got at Tabula Rasa, EQ1/2, WoW, LOTRO as you claim he continually does.

I looked at his post history just like you tasked me to and there is no trend as you say.  It took all of about 3 minutes to read. The plain and simple fact is his history does not support your claims in the slightest.  I am not even talking about your opinion, I am talking about the facts you claim he posts about.  They just don't exist and you made them up to assassinate this person.

It is funny how so many people call you out for being so far off base for the attacks you laid on the original poster, but yet somehow you still want to think you are some sort of victim.

If you can't take criticism of what you post, then don't post criticisms of others.

Oh so this is the thread that started all the trauma in the other threads.. right. Gosh I need to read this forum more rather than getting half the story. Right !

    1. The OP isn't a review its an experience. A bad one sadly.

    2. The OP was glitching *though* I guess though from my meagre VG experience the  whole game felt like one giant glitch so this maybe is academic.

    3. The OP is like most people annoyed with VG and has low tolerance for this kind of bugged stupidity. I do not blame him.

    4. What he wrote is not that bad, wait till I try the trial out. I'll show no mercy to simple bugs of this kind.

    5. Mind you I supposed simple bugs like this are hard to solve when VG dev's had no toolkit to design things in... gulp... !

Finally as punishment I think you should all play second life for a week.

    To the OP:

I fully understand your frustrations with this game. I too played since beta and the T pvp server/ FFAPVP since launch. The game is still far from polished but it has gotten better. Problem is now it's just boring and many have left because of that.

You have to understand that posting anything negative on this board will just inflame the fanbois here. Doesn't matter if it's the truth or not. It's been this way since the game was beta and the same tactics from the fanbois are being used as well.

It's all about blaming the players for their bad experience and not the game.

Trying to argue with them will not work because they think with their feelings and not logic or common sense. This is the reason they attack anyone that doesn't share the same rose colored view they do.

But as we all know (and logic would dictate), If this game was as great as the fanbois say it is then it would've been a hit and would not have merged servers so early right after it's release.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with these people and I'm really surprised they just didn 't have your negative comments about their fav game removed by the mods like the do to everyone elses.

I made the sig below for this forum long ago because Baghdad Bob, I feel, fully represents what fanbois are all about.

Over the weekend, I resubbed my station account and jumped back into VG for another look, starting a BM in Tursh.  I had a good time, but I still felt like something was lacking...  I played before from before release for about 4 or 5 months, and then stopped to take a break from gaming altogether.

There were a lot of new players in game, but our entire guild of 100+ active players (300+ Alts!) has basically left the game.  We were alone in our guild channel.  One other guildie finally showed up and told us everyone was playing LotRO.

I found the gameplay to still be fun, however the game is still a bit crashy and buggy.  We had issues with falling through the world, glitching, and getting stuck in objects.  The game was better performance wise, but still not great.

I played some diplomacy, and had trouble getting into it much, just wasn't catching my interest.  And don't get me started on crafting... Back when I was playing before, I worked a carpenter up to about level 22 (Now he's 18, go figure.  Same thing happened to my gf's crafter, she dropped from level 20 down to 12 while we were gone, and the GM's said there was nothing they could do about it)  The crafting is plain out boring.  You can't really level from making useful items, only from doing work orders, and work orders are completely useless.  They have no impact on the game world.  you basically feel like you are clicking a little spinner button beside an xp box that goes up in increments of 0.00001%.  Click.  Click.  Click.  Yawn.

As for this thread, I think the OP is accurate in his assessment of the game.  It's still fun to play, the combat is amazing, but the game has too many bugs to really enjoy it.

I would like to thank truenorthbg for thoroughly berating the OP, making himself and the fanboy community look bad, and thereby encouraging me even more to try another game (or three).  His attitude reminds me of exactly what I saw in world chat almost every half hour on the hour in game.  Someone would start talking about the good/bad about VG compared to other games (LotRO, WoW, EQ2, SWG, whatever), having a civilized conversation, and several people would jump on them like vultures, telling them to go back to their kiddie game, that VG is a challenging game, not a WoW clone, etc etc.  Great community spirit guys.

I would also like to commend Daffid011 and Lidane (and others) for sticking it to truenorthbg... High Fives all around!

    See you in another game!

Morgaur, the shameful bumping of your own topics is the worse I have seen yet, even on this forum.

I am just happy I called you out when I did.  I encourage everyone to read the previous posts in both of his topics he keeps bumping.  I called you out, and this constant bumping proves it (see Morguar's post history www.mmorpg.com/profile.cfm/username/Morgaur).

To be honest, I am neither surprised nor proud.  You just proved what I have known weeks ago.

Bumping? I responded to some post as I havent read these forums since last friday. Is that illegal in some way or are you have serious mental issues? If you have problems with me answering legitimate posts, then please go ahead and flame. I dont actually care what you call it.

You are just here trying to discredit my posts as some have stated here. So have a nice day and enjoy your flaming..

haha and who is bumping what. You bumped a review from 11/07/07 where the last post was written 11/12/07.

Then a month after you bumped it on the 12/09/07 just to get a good review up there. guess you figured the game needed some good reviews aswell ;)

Another case of checking someone's post history, and *trying* to use it against them.  Good job truenorthbg!  Is my post history of 1 an indication to you that I lack intelligence?  Or that because I'm a "newb" on the forum I shouldn't have an opinion?

Is this forum a PVP battleground to you?

I feel like your whole purpose is to come here and find the weaknesses in other's posts.  You can't accept anything for what it truly is;  you would rather smash everything down that opposes you.

I find it interesting that everyone else on this thread has maintained a more or less civilized manner, and taken the OP's opinion of the game at face value, yet almost every post of yours is finding some flaw in the posts of others.  If you conduct yourself in real life the way you do on this thread, I'm sure you are a real blast to chat with!

Edit: Oops, I forgot to colour my "1" in bright yellow and make it huge.

You know that you don't really need to check someones post history on their first post.

So why not crucify thillian for bumping also?  Why don't you blame him for bumping too.  Is Thilian somehow not just as guilty for having an equal part in that conversation?

Not that it will make you any less incorrect again, but humor us why you assassinate one person and not the other.

P.S.  Still waiting for those links about the OP writing his dear diary rants about other games.  You know, the whole reason you posted (other than to do a complete character assassination).  Are you ready to back up your claims yet?

Can say i'm really a fan of vanguard.

But stopped because of bugs, because we don't have raids because i don't want to pay for a beta, because can't play my char, because my pet is lot most of times... because VG = 19 go... crazy.

I stopped all MMOS, maybe coming back to DAOC or EQ2, something working

VG is really beautiful but buggy it's a nightmare.

Waiting for GU3 and GU4, VG needs 1/2 years of improvement.

    cya

@ we live in democracies, we are free people. Everyone can play/stop/change of game. OP pays, he can play Lotro 1 day, EQ2 another, DAOC a 3d etc. We are in DEMOCRACY

    OK ?

I think i'm a REAL fan of VANGUARd, not a crazy fanboy but really a FAN. BUT VG is still buggy, SOE only starts working on it, needs to be improved.  I'm a fan not a fanatic. VG is great but VG isn't finished yet. That's all. VG isn't a religion, isn't a philosophy, isn't politic. VG IS ONLY A GAME. so wake up now .A PRODUCT, industrial software. No more no less. SOE needs time, so maybe could come back in VG in 4/5 months.
