I do not think that is the issue; that was never the issue for me. I think the issue has been about fairness and honesty in writing "impressions" and "reviews" of games. When the intent and purpose of an "impression" or "review" is to, in effect, write: "Dear Diary, I am mad. I quit Vanguard."
The OP's own post history indicates precisely what I have been saying all along. The purpose and intent of the OP was not to write a fair and honest "impression" or "review" of the game. Since that time, the OP's
shows this (see generally OP's post history www.mmorpg.com/profile.cfm/username/Morgaur). Yes. I (and others) e x p o s e d the OP. I am proud we did, whether for this game or any other. The OP wrote a misleading "impression" and "review" in bad faith, whose intent and purpose was to bash the game. I am fine with bashing the game, however, do not cloak it in "review" language that gives the impression of good faith objectivity, honesty, and fairness.

Funny, i thought you were the one obsessing over the OP, seriously, you have done nothing more in this thread than to flame a poster who posted his views, discrediting him with statements such as "He can't handle a challenge" and "ZOMG, look at how he bumps posts, shaaaaame*"
This is low, and if this is how all elite members act, well... let's just say i expected a little more.
While we're at it, i think it may be in order for you to supply that link everyone is asking about, you just keep insisting on how he is the villain, now prove it (yes, i said it) Mr. Numbers.
For your comment on how the OP is just here to slander Vanguard (and other games too, but only Vanguard is relevant in this topic) excuse me, have you read what you have posted throughout the thread, you sir, are doing your very best to make the OP look as bad as you can, what does that make you? truenorth, as the basis for your criticism of the OP seems to stem from the idea that his post is a 'review', would you please direct me to the part in this thread where the OP labels it as such? I cannot for the life of me find it. An 'impression' is exactly that: an impression. Put simply, it's an opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. Simple. I agree with you about what a review is however. It implies a fair, learned, and unbiased description ( I also agree with your sig "Ron Paul 08", but thats off the topic). So far as I can tell, this thread is not, and never was, intended (or even labeled by the OP) as a review. Though I concede I have had the wrong impression (no pun intended) regarding the nature of posts before. So might you direct me to the point I obviously missed? I appreciate it.
Just discovered this post while I am downloading GU3... and it got me really laughing.
The OP describe a fairly well known place in TK where it is always difficult to go up even with levit. I must have been there 15 times and it's always a bit of a pain ... but doable .. never seen it as a bug ... They could always have run around the place ... oh well
The only thing I can say:
- VG is a nice and beautiful game, interesting for sure
- but buggy and a lots of areas are empty. (you can see it when you pay for flying mount or when you make screenshots: all my screens of VG are really NICE and BEAUTIFUL but i never see something living. Around New targonor, you'll see nothing living, some spiders around, and if you take a walk from tursh to NT you' ll encounter spiders (not dangerous at all never attacking) 1/2 snakes and that's all.
Downloaded the GU3, not a lot of differences between GU2 and GU3. Pet always buggy, lag, even with a good PC, holiday's event is fun but imo this game needs more improvement. Tried and tried and tried again but now gonna pay for something working: EQ2. Worst than bugs, i feel alone in this huge world, not even a mob... I prefer VG to EQ2 and Lotro, but i don't have another choice: i play or i dream about playing. My choice is Everquest II. (i'll never come back to lotro,never!)

Few people in a huge world... Saw so many empties areas near NT this evening, really it's sad. Port isn't living, town isn't living etc. of course can say NT is impressive and BEAUTIFUL but imo it's almost a ghost town. Can play with bugs (why not) but empty area... Not even a mob a char or something like that, a quest something ??? In EQ2 Queynos is a living town. mobs walks around, speak, etc. Thats imo the real drama of VG

Yeah and kinda odd the OP posted in another thread that they logged in last night and laughed at the status of the game where in this post they said they uninstalled it and was done with it.
Kinda uninstalled and reinstalls a lot. Ya know if ya hate the game why reinstall it?

Ya does seem kinda odd i noticed that myself but i think alot of people that post pretend they play or pull the old i have a station pass trick. i would say 90% of the negative posters on this site havent played vanguard in over 8 months or more

That's probably true, but you also have to remember that anyone who brushes over a game such as Vanguard with a "bad" or "good" post is probably not a reputable source in the first place.We should remember that everyone has their own thoughts of what makes a game good, and ultimately Vanguard -- like most major MMOs -- falls somewhere in the middle.
It has its strengths and its faults.
As far as strengths go; class selection and design is just superb. Innovative and most of all, fun.
And as for faults; the game is still working to overcome the stigma from launch and unfortunately that taste was bad enough to keep potential otherwise fair-minded people away. Not to mention, while the world is large and beautifully rendered, the character models are lackluster and awkward, as are many skill/spell animations.
Then again, as a veteran from several MMOs and specifically FFXI in this regard-- most spell/skill animations look shoddy in several games after Skill Chain animations of FFXI.
Vanguard is a niche game with many excellent reasons that appeal and just as many to repulse.
As for TK in VG that place is very buggy if you are a small race. I grouped with several people who got stuck in rocks or other things there. You know what, they got ropped, summoned, or /stuck and got summoned back into group. A minor inconvience and we're back on track. I don't experience it daily and to give up after ONE incident is beyond me, but I've grouped with people who will immediatly drop group without a word the moment they die.
Functional, not flawless.
I suspect the OP and I share a similarity. Vanguard appeals to the inner-EQ spirit deep inside me. I know the stove is hot. I know it is going to burn my hand when I touch it. I know I should wait for the red hot burning to cool down before touching it, but for some uncontrollable reason I simply must touch it.
Everyone has their breaking point when they really try to like something.

Maybe you should check the signup dates on our accounts? How about that? I've been here since April 7th, 2005, reading many of the different forums here. So your claim that the OP would go and create another account just to fight with you does not hold water. Do you think that everyone on here that is posting against you is just one person? Does it pain you that much to know that several people think you are wrong? "Woah! This can't be possible! They must all be the same person!"

TORT REFORM: I am in favor of "settlement panels". Easy for the judge to look at a "best practice" settlement per offense. Who needs litigation when we can save time and money by cutting out the middle man through "comparative effectiveness"?
