sorry but no one "knows" anything.. That's the point and actually the entire problem with darkfall and everything associated with it..  lack of anything definitive.....all the time everytime..

Yet you like to seem as though you do. So if your going to say that they didn't while the companies say they did than go ahead and do that but you better have some sort of backing otherwise its just a conspiracy theory and we realize how much you love to throw those around.

sorry but the company never said they did. It's just the super duper fanboys like you who go running around saying they did with nothing but some extremely vague text blurb as "evidence" because you want to believe so badly that you're 7 year old Alpha pet project will be all that it's been hyped up to be over the last 7 years even though all they've managed to produce in that time are a few shitty , generic looking alpha videos showing the most basic , rudimentary gameplay you can possibly have and some outdated screenshots.

"So they are affiliated with it."

They're not "affiliated" with it. They own it. This is just another sad attempt of yours to try and make Aventurine and Darkflop look legitimate somehow by linking it to some Jaco limited which is nothing more than a website registered and owned by Tasos and hosted on the same servers as all their other websites.

Hey maybe that's one of their "partners" and "investors" too?  I mean it must be if according to you any website hosted by them is automatically a big money partner and fundee of theirs.

Your right the company never did but another company did. Vague? What do you consider vague because the line went like "Helped Aventurine issue 20,000,000(euro) converitible bond loan with marfin bank".(incase you didnt know issue can be a synonym sold in this case.).

From the info I saw it didnt say Tasos Flambouras was the owner but he was merely the administrative contact but the OWNER is a man named Jaco.[1] Now your going to exclaim their both listed in the same building and that would show how much you really don't know. Aventurine DOES NOT occupy the whole building but merely one floor in it(which has been said in a few reviews I believe).

So what does this mean? Its seems likely that their doing some work for them in some way for some sort of financial backing. Sorry to put your conspiracy theory down but it just to far fetched.

And in the last update (#18) we got to know there might be different publishers for EU and US.

They have been saying that since hm was it jan 07? Early in the year anyway. I get the feeling the prospect on AoC and Warhammer coming out (yes yes i know they are not 'hardcore' pvp but they are commercially speaking) that no publisher will touch darkfall.

Downloadable and free to play is what im thinking. Also with an item shop (in a craftable world? hm hehe) to provide some payback for 7 years of development? That must of cost a shed load of money.

Anyway, personally i dont care either way. Its all getting a bit stupid now.

LOD has been speculating on the subject of beta for some time, info they got was from Asp though I am pretty sure most of them are trying to rub it in all of our faces.

It all depends what the finished product is supposed to look like, fact of the matter is that allot of the things like Naval warfare, mounted combat, resource farming where not supposed to be in the game at least not when they announced it and it certainly was not under development in the early stages. We know that theyre will be no classes, the class system was pretty much thrown out from the get go and with it the Prestige classes.

There's no reason to talk about release at this point, the game is still in late alpha pre-beta stage going through testing. The closed beta will be a clan beta, i think everyone should know that or knows that already; and if that happeneds in 2008 you have to add 4 to 6 months of testing plus 1 or 2 weeks of open beta.

If beta does not come in the 1st quarter of 2008, release wont happened that same year; allthough LOD insiders said they are shooting for 2008 probably 3rd or 4th quarter; 4th quarter being more probable.
