problem with vanguard is it had its time in the sun and blew it,Now almost a year after release it is far from "awesome"and with the new games due for release in q1/q2 of next year i can only see vanguard losing subs not gaining them,That is unless the 4 games in my head due for these releases all fail,Then I dont fear for vanguard ....but for the MMORPG as a whole.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"
Last night i had sooo much fun grouping with three others, it was pure awesomness, it reminded me of EQ1 all over again, after playing beta and a month after of vanguard i was really turned off by it, it sucked so hard, i actually hated it first mmorpg i can say i actually HATED. Since i upgraded my computer, and all the fixes and additions that SOE did i can currently say i love this game. The diciple is my favorite class. I have encountered 1 -2 bugs after a week of playing. my FPS is high next patch is going to be sooo awesome with the addition of dynamic weather.
So for those not knowing what MMO to choose or are bored with your current one, come back to vanguard and play on saradon server, you will not be sorry.
If this game had a free trial i MIGHT THINK about POSSIBALLY getting a free trial.

When I first bought this game at the release, I thought the game was : Slow,poor gameplay,boring,bad animations among other things.. So my question is: Except from the Neverending bugs and memory leaks and the low FPS Did they change anything else ?
and take a look at all the updates for your self. Lots balancing. Closing content gaps. Faster leveling.
Next patch is adding a raid zone, which the patch is tomorrow I believe.. lots of changes.

I am a new player in vanguard. I am loving it. From what I here its 100% better now than it was at launch. That makes me not feel so bad about coming in late.

I have a good (stable) computer and a good graphics card so I never had any real performance issues with Vanguard. And I never found the bugs to be show stopping either. What alienated me was the game play.
If you like class based, quest centric w/camping (i.e. doing dungeons over and over again until some day you obtain a single item drop; and possibly waiting for up to hours for a boss to even spawn), forced grouping MMORPG's - and a lot of people really do - then I'd highly recommend Vanguard. This is the type of play that made EQ1 famous, and it's done even better here. The combat is also good, and the (cookie cutter) classes are the most diverse and interesting I've ever seen.
But if you enjoy complex individualized character creation, randomly generated loot (or ever getting anything more worthwhile than a few copper off the common mobs you kill), soloing, and achievement/personal skill oriented crafting - then I don't think Vanguard is going to be your cup of tea.
In other words - if your an EQ1/EQ2/WoW type of MMORPG player, then Vanguard is a fine game. But if your an UO/AC1/Pre-CU SWG type of dude, then I don't think you're going to enjoy it very much.

Man you can't go around eating bees!!! Haven't you been paying attention to the news? For some unknown reason the hives are just collapsing. Wasps on the other hand are friggin awesome to eat. Man its like one of those red hots I used to have as a kid only much more intense.

My board only has 1 pci x16 slot, so I'm just going to pick up 1 HD 3870. But if I could run 2 I would.
And by the way a nice sound card makes a huge huge difference.
